Chapter 391: Chapter 388: Divine Sacrifice Site

While Mo Ling was still studying the Lego Man’s strange language, the two figures behind them seemed to start arguing again...

"You go."

"I’m not going."

"Just tell her to go a different way."

"A different way? We’ve already come this far. It’s too late to turn back now..."

Li Luo overheard their whispering and turned around, asking, "Why do we need to go a different way?"

She was holding the map of the Sea of Creation, and there was nothing wrong with their route, which made her all the more curious about what the two were arguing about.

Seeing Li Luo turn around, the fatty immediately scurried closer, stopping a short distance away and explaining bluntly, "You’ve entered the Divine Sacrifice Site of another race. It’s easy to run into danger."

"A Divine Sacrifice Site?" Li Luo was puzzled. She glanced around for a moment.

It was still just an endless, empty, mirrored surface, with no creatures in sight.

She checked the map of the Sea of Creation again; it didn’t indicate any danger here.

Seeing Li Luo still staring at the map, the fatty continued to explain, "You won’t see it by looking at the map. The Divine Sacrifice Sites are random. They’re different every day."

Listening to the fatty, Li Luo remained skeptical. ’This Lego Man has been coveting the Block all along,’ she thought. ’It might be up to no good.’

When the fatty saw Li Luo’s skeptical expression, he grew anxious. "I’m not lying to you! Look for yourself, look closely!"

The fatty dropped to the ground and pointed into the depths of the mirrored surface. "See it? Right there. That’s the Divine Sacrifice Site."

Li Luo skeptically followed his finger and saw that a black dot had indeed appeared in the sky reflected in the mirror.

Upon closer inspection, it appeared to be a stone Divine Altar, floating silently in the air. Beside the altar were many huge, floating boulders, motionlessly surrounding the Temple.

The fatty was also looking at the stones, a puzzled expression on his face.

"Stiffened Rocks... why are they here? Did they find a divine object?"

Just then, the chatty head suddenly popped out of his body again.

"Stay away from them! Those creatures have no brains!"

The fatty was startled by the head’s sudden appearance and muttered under his breath, "Don’t be an idiot. How could rocks have brains?"

Then he hastily stuffed the head back inside.

"Those rocks are living creatures? And they’re called Stiffened Rocks?" Li Luo had overheard their conversation and asked curiously.

"Yes, but they shouldn’t be able to find a divine object..." The fatty was clearly surprised. "If you can’t find a divine object, you aren’t allowed to enter a Divine Sacrifice Site."

"This shouldn’t be happening. How did they find one? Did a divine object just fly right to them?"

"Why wouldn’t they be able to find a divine object?" Li Luo pressed.

"Of course they can’t find one! Because they don’t even look!" the head shot out again, speaking anxiously.

This time, the fatty didn’t stuff it back in, letting it continue.

"Stiffened Rocks, as the name implies, are just stiff rocks! They don’t interact with the outside world in any way, nor do they move. They just float in the air, motionless, like stones. They don’t eat, they don’t sleep, they are eternally unchanging. So of course they wouldn’t go looking for a divine object!"

"This race didn’t even have a name originally. ’Stiffened Rocks’ is what the other creatures in the Sea of Creation started calling them..."

Though the head was irritable, it spoke with great logic, explaining everything clearly in just a few sentences.

’Stiff rocks...’ Li Luo fell into thought after hearing the head’s explanation.

"They’re like rocks, but they’re living creatures?"

"Of course they are!" The head grew agitated at Li Luo’s doubt. "I used to think they weren’t creatures either—just some kind of phenomenon—but then I learned that they also came here to beseech the gods."

The head gazed at the Divine Altar in the reflection, also speaking with great confusion, "Could a divine object really just fall into their laps? Can anyone be that lucky?"

Both parts of the Lego Man were baffled as to how a bunch of rocks could find a divine object.

"Look! Even rocks can find a divine object, but you can’t! Are you useless or what?"

"But I did find one, didn’t I?" the fatty said, pointing at the Block.

"It’s not yours until it’s in your hands! You’re useless!"

Before Li Luo could even react, the Lego Man had started arguing with itself again.

Meanwhile, inside the Block, Mo Ling was also confused.

He looked at the mirrored surface and suddenly realized something:

’Why is there a limit to my field of vision in the mirror?’

Mo Ling couldn’t see the sky high above in the reflection, nor could he see the Stiffened Rocks and divine sacrifice that the Lego Man and Li Luo kept talking about. He could only see a limited distance, just like in the real world.

Logically, everything in a mirror should just be a reflection. A situation like this shouldn’t be possible.

And yet, the limited field of vision persisted.

’Could it be... that the world inside the mirror is also real?’

A strange idea suddenly popped into Mo Ling’s mind.

To test this idea, he unconsciously began to descend slowly, moving closer to the mirrored surface.

The glass-like creatures roamed freely, and the Stiffened Rocks could only be seen in the reflection. Everything pointed to the fact that this mirrored surface was not simple.

As he thought, Mo Ling drew closer and closer to the mirror.

Fortunately, after getting very close to the ground, Mo Ling was also able to see the strange Stiffened Rocks, though his limited vision only allowed him to see their edges.

’Let’s get a little closer.’

Mo Ling continued to pilot the Block downward, and the outlines of the Stiffened Rocks grew clearer.

Finally, Mo Ling saw what the Stiffened Rocks looked like, and he also caught a glimpse of a corner of the Divine Altar.

So, he moved a little closer, until his field of vision encompassed the entire Divine Altar.

The Divine Altar was very crudely made, showing no sign of craftsmanship. It looked like a pile of pebbles. Yet this simple altar floated in the air with no support, creating a bizarre sight.

The Stiffened Rocks were also motionless, surrounding the Divine Altar.

’So this is a divine sacrifice? How strange,’ Mo Ling couldn’t help but think.

He didn’t see any gods descending, nor did he spot a divine object.

If it weren’t floating in the air and so starkly different from its surroundings, no one would think this pile of rocks was a "divine sacrifice." They’d just assume it was some kind of prank.

After staring at the motionless pile of rocks for a while, Mo Ling lost interest.

’Why is it so quiet?’

He suddenly realized that the Lego Man’s bickering had disappeared.

’Where did everyone go?’

Mo Ling pulled his focus back, only to find the space beside the Block completely empty.

Li Luo was gone. The Lego Man was gone.

’Wait...’

Mo Ling quickly looked toward the mirrored surface and saw, on the other side of it, Li Luo anxiously knocking on the mirror. The Lego Man was sprawled on the ground, staring this way in astonishment.

It was as if they were separated by a thin film of glass.

In the sky, the Divine Altar hung high, surrounded by a forest of Stiffened Rocks.

The glass-like creatures swam freely through the air...

Mo Ling was stunned. For a long time, he couldn’t process what had happened.

"How did I get over here?"
