"Claire, let me get a good look at you." Adrian Quincy gently pushed his wife out of his embrace and looked her over. Her face was a little rounder, but she still looked slim. Her belly was rounder, and her waist had thickened a bit. Finally, he came to a conclusion. "You’ve put on some weight."

Claire Sinclair felt a little shy under his gaze. "It’s because you’ve been taking good care of me."

Her words made Adrian Quincy chuckle. "You really know how to make me happy."

Adrian Quincy was about to say something else when his phone suddenly rang.

He shot his wife an apologetic look before picking up his phone to answer the call.

"Young Master Quincy, we’ve finished surveying the scene. There are fifteen kidnappers outside, all armed. The madam is being held in a sealed room with two guards. The situation inside the room is unknown. Please advise."

"Get a clear picture before you move. Do not endanger my mother’s life."

"Yes, sir!"

After hanging up, Adrian Quincy’s brow furrowed.

Claire Sinclair reached out to smooth his brow, asking with concern, "What’s wrong?"

"They’ve found my mother, but I’m not confident we can get her out."

This was probably the first time he had ever shown such a lack of confidence in front of her.

Claire Sinclair’s heart ached to see him like this. She reached out, squeezed his large hand, and comforted him, "It’s going to be okay. Your mom will definitely make it out safely. Don’t worry."

The minor commotion outside the hospital bought enough time for Claire Sinclair to enter the prenatal care center smoothly. No one was allowed inside except for expectant mothers and their families.

Claire Sinclair had wanted to bring Faye in with her, but Faye insisted on waiting for Helen Wallace to arrive. So as not to waste the precious time The Great Demon King Quincy had managed to carve out, Claire had to let her be.

This prenatal visit included the routine check-ups, as well as a very important one: a 4D color ultrasound.

Claire Sinclair had specifically looked it up online beforehand. A 4D color ultrasound provides a direct visual examination of the fetus’s exterior, checking for issues with the brain, heart, and skeletal development, or conditions like cleft lip and spina bifida. Discovering any abnormalities early can significantly reduce the birth rate of babies with deformities.

Although her previous prenatal check-ups had all been normal, this time Claire Sinclair was a little worried, constantly afraid that something might be wrong with her baby.

Before entering the ultrasound room, Claire Sinclair was so nervous her palms were slick with sweat.

Adrian Quincy comforted her in a low voice, "Don’t be nervous. There won’t be any problems with our baby."
