After seeing Claire Sinclair to her car, Theo Rhodes headed back.

Claire Sinclair sat in the back seat, took out her phone, and sent a message to the Great Demon King Quincy: Mr. Quincy, Lucas Rhodes and Ivy Tanner’s meeting went well. He said he wants to formally propose next month.

Adrian Quincy: To avoid any complications, have them get their marriage license first.

Claire Sinclair didn’t reply. She wanted to call Ivy Tanner, but she was hesitant to use the landline at The Golden Brocade Palace. She would just have to wait and tell her in person tomorrow.

The next day, Claire Sinclair arrived at the newspaper office on time for work.

She didn’t really have any important articles to write. The Great Demon King Quincy must have spoken to Teacher Hartwell, because for the past few days, he had been looking out for her and hadn’t given her any assignments outside the office.

Claire Sinclair didn’t dare to overdo it. The first trimester was a delicate time, so it was best to just take it easy.

As the end of the workday approached, Theo Rhodes suddenly came over. He pulled up a chair to sit across from her and asked for her help. "Master, have you seen that video that’s been going viral lately?"

"What video?" Claire Sinclair hadn’t kept up with influencer drama in a long time.

Theo Rhodes immediately took out his phone and played a video he had downloaded for her.

In the video, a female streamer was broadcasting live from a pitch-black hallway. She looked a little panicked, but you could tell she was faking it. Her expression was very unnatural.

"Hey everyone, guess where I am right now..."

"This is the legendary Ghost Town—Woodforest Community! I lost a bet with my bestie, so Riley has to stream from here until midnight. I’m getting a little scared; there’s nobody else around."

"I’ve been walking down this hall for five minutes and I still haven’t reached the end. Am I caught in a supernatural loop or something?"

"What do I do? This is so creepy... How about sending some gifts to help your girl Riley build up some courage, what do you say?"

"C’mon, pretty please? Send gifts~~"

The camera suddenly shook, and the streamer cried out, "Ah! That scared me to death! I think I just saw a dark figure... I don’t know if I’m just seeing things... AHHHH—"

Accompanied by one last, long scream, the screen went black. Only a few faint, shuffling sounds could be heard before the livestream ended a few seconds later.

Theo Rhodes put his phone down and looked up at Claire Sinclair. "Master, they say the streamer went missing right after that stream ended. It’s been three days, and the police still haven’t found her. Everyone online is guessing she ran into a ghost, but I don’t believe in ghosts."

Claire Sinclair fell silent.

’She remembered the Great Demon King Quincy telling her that Aiden Howkins had gone into Woodforest Community once. After he came out, he had the same nightmare for several days straight. The Great Demon King Quincy wouldn’t lie to her about something like that.’

’Could there really be something sinister in Woodforest Community?’

’But...’

Claire voiced her doubts. "Could the streamer just be faking her disappearance for attention?"

Theo Rhodes said, "I suspected that too, but I discreetly went to see her family. You can tell they’re genuinely worried. It doesn’t look like she faked it."
