Chapter 185: Chapter 185: Brada Becomes Interested in the Fuzu Tribe’s Divine Medicine

Brada followed Ophelia absentmindedly, touring all the shops along the enclosure wall. As they walked, his initial sheer boredom gradually gave way to genuine interest.

"The goods in your shops are surprisingly comprehensive."

Ophelia nodded. "That’s exactly the purpose behind building these wall shops. My original intention was to eliminate the need to scour multiple trading markets just to barter for a single item. I want my shops to carry as much variety as possible, ensuring that anyone who comes here can find exactly what they need."

Hearing this, the look in Brada’s eyes shifted as he appraised her. "That’s not a bad idea at all."

Because the Holy Capital was inhabited exclusively by members of High-level Tribes, everything they needed had to be imported from the outside. As a result, acquiring any item required a waiting period. If the Holy Capital had shops like these, there would be no need to wait. One could simply take a stroll and get whatever they desired.

"It’s alright. We only managed to build this place thanks to everyone’s trust," Ophelia said, refusing to take all the credit for herself. Seeing her humble attitude, Brada’s preconceived notion that she merely relied on males began to improve.

"City Lord, honored guest, will you be staying for lunch?" Ophelia asked sincerely as the midday sun grew hotter.

"Mr. Brada, what do you think?" Moye looked toward Brada.

Brada waved his hand. "Let’s head back to Ten Thousand Beasts City. It doesn’t look like there’s anything good to eat here."

Just as the group was preparing to leave, a noisy commotion erupted from the wall shops.

"Help! Please save her! Her bleeding won’t stop!" A male sprinted frantically toward Lam, carrying a young female in his arms.

Seeing the blood gushing from the wounds on both of the young female’s arms, Lam hurriedly grabbed a bottle of hemostatic powder from the shelf.

Brada observed from a distance. Catching the thick scent of blood, he shook his head. "She’s a goner. She won’t survive this. What a pity it’s a young female."

A nearby male overheard him and immediately retorted. "Who says she won’t survive? The Fu Clan has Divine Medicine! The moment this powder is applied, it stops the bleeding instantly."

"Yeah! Even someone with one foot in the grave can be saved," another chimed in.

"Exactly. It’s obvious you aren’t from Ten Thousand Beasts City, otherwise, you would’ve heard of our Divine Medicine," a third agreed.

Hearing the three males, Brada’s interest was piqued. "Ophelia, is this medicine really that miraculous?"

Ophelia offered a faint smile. "It’s not quite that miraculous. It’s just a bit better than ordinary medicine."

"Is that so? The wound medicine in our Holy Capital is also highly effective. I’d like to see which is better—this highly touted Divine Medicine of yours or the medicine from the Holy Capital."

Moye laughed, trying to smooth things over. "Naturally, the Holy Capital’s medicine is superior. There’s no need to look any further, Mr. Brada. The males of Ten Thousand Beasts City are ignorant; they’ll praise anything with the slightest medicinal effect to the high heavens."

Moye intended to stop him, but Brada had already made up his mind. Pushing Moye aside, he strode toward the shop where Lam was stationed. Ophelia, Tyler, and Moye exchanged glances before hurrying after him.

At that moment, Lam was holding the hemostatic powder, just about to apply it to the young female’s arms, when a male’s voice suddenly stopped him.

"Hold on. I have wound medicine here as well. I want to compare them and see whose medicine is truly better."

Lam looked at Ophelia in surprise. Ophelia hadn’t expected Brada to do something like this, but she had no way to stop him.

"Then each of you should treat one arm. It’ll be easier to compare that way," Ophelia suggested.

"Alright, that’s a good method." Brada shot a look at Beast Servant Kaka beside him. Understanding the silent cue, Kaka pulled a small pouch of medicinal powder from the animal skin bag at his waist.

He and Lam took one side each, sprinkling their respective medicines onto the female’s wounds. Everyone held their breath, their eyes glued to the injuries.

After about three minutes, the bleeding from the wound Lam treated began to slow down significantly, while Kaka’s side remained just as bad as before. The powder Kaka had applied was completely washed away by the blood, forcing him to pack even more powder onto the gash. Another two minutes passed. The wound on Lam’s side had stopped bleeding entirely, whereas Kaka had used up all his powder, yet the bleeding on his side hadn’t ceased. Between the two medicines, the superior one was instantly clear.

Brada stroked his chin, a dark glint flashing in his eyes. "It truly is Divine Medicine. Not bad, not bad at all. Ophelia, how much of this medicine do you have? I’ll take it all." His gaze swept over the various bottles and jars in the shop before he waved his hand dominantly. "I want all the medicine here."

"What are we supposed to do if you take it all? We only get ten bottles of golden sore medicine and hemostatic powder a month!"

"Yeah! It’s not like you can eat it. If you keep so much of it for too long, it’ll just expire!"

"Besides, Clan Leader Ophelia said long ago that purchases are limited to one bottle per person. No hoarding allowed!"

The surrounding males had all come specifically for the Hemostatic Medicine and golden sore medicine. Hearing that Brada wanted to buy out the entire stock naturally sparked their dissatisfaction. Kaka unleashed his oppressive aura, glaring at the males who had spoken up. Those males were instantly terrified by his aura, unable to even lift their heads.

Seeing this, Ophelia hastily intervened. "Alright, I agree to your request. However, the price for a bottle of this medicine..."

"Don’t worry, you’ll get your compensation." Kaka straightforwardly produced five Cyan Crystal Stones. "These Crystal Stones should be enough in exchange for your medicine, right?"

"It’s enough, more than enough." A radiant smile bloomed on Ophelia’s face.

Brada rolled his eyes inwardly, not expecting her to be such a little money-grubber. She might be pretty, but that was all there was to her. "Ophelia, I’d like to meet the clan doctor who creates these medicines."

"I apologize, honored guest. These medicines are made by a wandering doctor. After he finishes making them, he leaves. We don’t know where he is or which tribe he belongs to. He merely comes here every month to deliver the medicine and leaves immediately after. He never says much to us; he’s very mysterious."

Brada narrowed his eyes slightly. "Ophelia, could it be that you want to keep him all to yourself and simply refuse to tell me?"

"How could you say such a thing, honored guest? City Lord Mo Ye is also aware of this matter."

Brada looked at Moye, who nodded repeatedly. "It’s true. I previously tried to recruit this wandering doctor to the Winged Dragon Clan, but he rejected all my offers."

"To think there’s someone like that. Now I’m even more interested. I wonder if I’ll bump into this wandering doctor during my stay in Ten Thousand Beasts City?" Brada mused. It would be a real pity if a clan doctor capable of creating medicine with such potent effects didn’t join the Fire Phoenix Clan. He hadn’t expected to make such an unexpected discovery on this trip to Ten Thousand Beasts City.

Moye thought to himself, "This is bad." Ophelia’s expression also changed. She never imagined things would escalate to this point.

Seeing the situation, Klein spoke up. "Mr. Brada, if you want it that much, I can send someone to deliver the medicine to the Holy Capital every month. There’s no need for you to wait around here personally."

"That’s a good idea too. We’ll discuss this again in a few days," Brada agreed.

Brada seemed to have genuinely given up. After exchanging a few more perfunctory remarks, he took Moye and headed back to Ten Thousand Beasts City. Only after his group left did Ophelia and her companions breathe a sigh of relief.

"Princess, does this mean we’ve passed this hurdle?"

Klein shook his head. "Brada is the kind of person who must obtain whatever he sets his sights on. Now that he’s taken an interest in the Fu Clan’s medicine, I’m afraid we’re in for some trouble. However, the one thing we can confirm right now is that he doesn’t know about Ophelia and Zerev’s relationship. The little dragon cubs are safe for now."
