I Can Level Up Infinitely

Chapter 332: To Bring You Home

Leon fell into deep thought. "Which affinity should I choose then?" He whispered.

The system didn’t reply this time. Seeing Leon in a daze like that, Emily and others walked up to him. "What happened, big bro?" Sol asked.

Looking at them, Leon had an idea. "You guys. Tell me one thing. Which affinities do you think are the strongest?" Leon asked.

"Strongest affinities?" Emily’s brows furrowed slightly.

"Yes. Suppose you had too many affinities and you could perfect only two of them, which two would you have chosen?"

Emily thought for a while before answering. "Lightning is considered one of the strongest offensive affinities. After lightning comes fire and then poison. But if we talk about defensive magic, metal affinity stands at the peak, followed by earth and other affinities. For versatile effectiveness, spatial affinity can also be considered strong. There is no absolute best, actually. It’s the person who makes the difference."

Leon shook his head helplessly. That’s not the answer he was looking for. "What about you two? Give me some advice." He asked Lamia and Frenrir.

Both of them emerged from Leon’s soul sanctuary and stood before him. "Master." Lamia started. "No need to be so worried about it. For Astral Avatars, you can pick fire affinity for now. And later, lightning."

"Oh?" Leon raised an eyebrow. "And why is that? Can you explain a bit?"

"It’s because different affinities have different uses. But for maximum destructiveness, fire and lightning stand at the peak. Your Astral Avatars are to unleash maximum possible damage. So you can select fire and lightning even with your eyes closed."

Emily and others, meanwhile, listened to Lamia and Leon’s conversation with dumbfounded expressions.

"Astral Avatar?" Snow and Sol whispered at once.

"Lightning." Emily caught on to that word.

’What are they even talking about?’ They all had this same question in mind.

"I can select fire without any hesitation then," Leon said.

"Yes, Master." Lamia nodded.

Leon then looked at the others. "Can we take a break before advancing forward?" He asked. ’I need to condense my second Astral Avatar first. Going outside, I won’t have the opportunity to try the tenth fire spell.’ He mused inwardly.

"Sure," Snow said doubtfully. "It’s not like we wanted to raid the dungeon."

Sol and Emily shared glances but didn’t say anything.

"That’s great then." Leon clasped his hands. "You guys can find yourselves some places to sit and rest. I hope I won’t make you guys wait too much longer." Saying that, Leon didn’t wait for their reply or any further questions and sat down on the ground.

He sat in a lotus position under everyone’s gaze. Lamia and Frenrir didn’t return to his soul sanctuary. They remained outside, on guard in case any monsters attacked.

Leon slowly closed his eyes. He totally sealed himself off from the environment. He had already succeeded in sensing the astral energy before. As a result, he didn’t have to wait long before his consciousness was already on the first layer of the Astral River.

But he didn’t stop and kept going higher. Second layer.

Third layer.

Fourth.

Fifth.

Sixth.

He reached the sixth layer without the slightest bit of resistance. But the moment he entered the seventh layer, a heavy pressure washed over him. But Leon didn’t stop. He kept soaring higher.

He finally stepped into the eighth layer. The pressure weighed on him severalfold. Though he had already reached the ninth layer once, the pressure still felt overbearing. His forehead was drenched in sweat. His breathing was ragged.

Even his original body was sweating profusely.

Emily, Snow, and Sol stood surrounding him. They stared at him intently, not daring to blink unnecessarily. They were afraid that they would miss something if they blinked.

Emily was trying her best to read Leon’s mind at the moment. But she couldn’t hear even a single word. To her, it felt like Leon wasn’t even there.

Sol was about to step forward and look even closer. But Lamia stopped him. "You are acquainted with the Master. But if you want what is good for him, don’t disturb him while he’s cultivating."

Sol’s eyes narrowed. "So that’s what cultivation is? The breathing mechanism to become awakened from a non-awakened."

"But why is he cultivating now? What if monsters attack us? We are in the middle of a dungeon. Couldn’t he wait until he returned home?"

"Master has his reasons. Please have patience." Frenrir said.

Sol and others couldn’t help but wait for Leon to complete what he was doing.

But just as Snow was about to sit down on the ground...

Hissssssss!

A monster emerged from the shadows in the distance. Just by the look of it, everyone could tell that it was an S-Class lizard man. But that wasn’t the end.

More monsters started appearing from every corner.

Five!

Ten!

Fifteen!

The more their numbers increased, the more Sol and others’ expressions darkened.

Finally, the counting stopped at thirty-two. Even Lamia and Frenrir looked stunned for a moment.

While Emily and others were facing a life-threatening crisis, Bella was pacing back and forth outside the gate.

"Bella, relax a bit. You have been doing that for hours now." Gavin said.

But Bella kept doing what she was doing. The other four hunters also looked tense. If Emily and the others didn’t come outside in time, they would have to enter the dungeon. How could they relax at a moment like this?

Just as Gavin was about to stand up and talk to Bella, a car screeched to a halt before the Lizard’s den.

Everyone’s eyes snapped toward the vehicle. Even Bella’s. It’s because she knew that car very well. After all, it was from her family.

As the dust settled, the side door clicked open. A young woman climbed down from the car. The moment Bella saw who it was, her brows knitted.

"What are you doing here?" Bella asked coldly.

The young woman chuckled. "To bring you home, of course. Father’s instruction."
