I Can Level Up Infinitely
Chapter 333: Lamia
Bella stood silent for a while. But the air around her was growing thicker. Her expression looked normal. But inside. She was enraged. But after standing for a while, she finally controlled herself. "I am not going back until I gain what I came here for."
"Oh, sorry!" The young woman covered her mouth playfully. "Maybe I wasn’t clear. I didn’t say you have an option, did I?" The woman chuckled.
"Do you think you are enough on your own to bring me home?" Bella said through gritted teeth. Those words made the woman only grin even farther. "Maybe I am not enough." The young woman said. "But what do you think will happen to grandpa if you don’t listen to my words?"
The words dropped like fuel in Bella’s anger. Her hands were visibly trembling. It was as if she would attack the young woman at any time and tear her head off her neck. But for some reason, her jaw tightened as she calmed herself again. "I am coming." She said.
Meanwhile inside the dungeon...
As Leon sat in lotus position, the others were circled by S-Class lizard men. The air was thick with pressure. Even before they attacked, there was a subtle tremor in the ground.
Lamia’s eyes stayed narrowed for only a few seconds before she straightened her back. "And here I thought I was finally going to have some challenges here," Lamia said, the left corner of her mouth slowly curving up.
Frenrir looked at the monsters surrounding them before turning toward Lamia. "Want me to join you?"
Emily had already summoned a ball of fire. Snow took a step forward, while Sol raised both hands, ready to cast his ice magic.
"Stay where you are," Lamia said.
Frenrir raised an eyebrow. "All of us?"
"Especially you." Lamia glanced at him. "If you interfere, I’ll freeze you along with them."
Frenrir chuckled and folded his arms. "You haven’t changed even a bit, Miss Lamia. When it comes to the master, you are always desperate to draw all the attention towards you."
"Nonsense. They are just too weak. If you all participate, I won’t even be able to warm up."
Emily was about to protest. But before she could speak...
ROAAAAAR!
The lizard men lunged forward. Dozens of S-Class monsters charged at once. Their heavy footsteps shook the dungeon. No lizard man was carrying a weapon. Some of them had orbs. While the others had poisonous energy wrapped around their arms.
Lamia didn’t move. The first monster reached her in the blink of an eye. It swung its poisonous claws straight at her head.
"Ice layer."
Crack!
A thick layer of ice wrapped around Lamia’s right arm. She raised it and blocked the claws. The claws froze mid-air. The monster’s eyes widened. Before it could pull its claws back, Lamia twisted them aside. "What a waste of strength," she muttered. And then...
Her fist shot forward.
Booooooooom!
The monster’s head burst apart. Its massive body flew backward, crashing into three others. Before they could regain their balance...
"Ice Domain."
Sharp spikes erupted from the ground.
Schlk! Schlk! Schlk!
All four were impaled.
The temperature dropped instantly. Frost spread across the ground. Within seconds, the entire area surrounding Lamia had turned white.
But the lizard men didn’t retreat. One of them opened its mouth. A green energy ball shot out, rushing toward Lamia.
She merely waved her hand. A wall of ice rose before her.
Bammm!
The green sphere struck the wall. Dust and debris erupted. Steam filled the air. Yet the wall remained standing.
Suddenly, something burst through the steam.
A spear of poison energy.
It pierced the ice wall and shot toward Lamia’s chest. Lamia tilted her body slightly.
The spear missed. Lamia flung one of her hands casually. Icy chains erupted from her palm and shot toward the monster, wrapping it up. Then she yanked casually. The monster stumbled forward, straight into her waiting knee.
Crack!
Its chest caved in.
Without letting go, Lamia swung it sideways. The monster struck another lizard man across the face, sending it tumbling. Then she waved her hand. An icy spear shot out.
Schlk!
It pierced through two monsters before embedding itself in another. Sol swallowed hard. "Is she even using her full strength?" Sol could still remember it. Lamia’s serpent form.
"Not even close," Frenrir replied.
Meanwhile, more monsters had surrounded Lamia. Their claws glowed with greenish energy as they prepared to attack together.
Lamia glanced at them. "Fools." She tapped her foot.
Rumble!
The frozen ground trembled. Thick spikes of ice erupted beneath the monsters. One was lifted into the air, another had its stomach pierced, while three others were directly exploded.
The remaining monsters jumped backward.
But Lamia wasn’t finished.
She raised her left hand. The ice spikes twisted, forming dozens of sharp blades. With a flick of her fingers, they shot toward the retreating monsters.
Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!
Blood splattered across the white ground.
One monster managed to dodge. It rushed forward from Lamia’s blind spot, raising its claws toward her neck.
"Behind you!" Snow shouted.
Lamia didn’t even turn. Ice spread across her left leg. She kicked backward.
Booooooooom!
The monster’s upper body vanished under the impact. Its legs dropped to the ground a moment later.
Snow stood frozen. Lamia finally looked over her shoulder. "Don’t worry about me. Just make sure Master isn’t disturbed."
Frenrir nodded. "You heard her."
By now, the remaining lizard men had begun to hesitate. Their earlier aggression had disappeared. They looked at the corpses scattered around Lamia, then at one another.
But Lamia had no intention of letting them escape.
"Ice Rain."
Above the monsters, hundreds of icy swords appeared, floating with their sharp tips pointed downward.
For a moment, everything went silent.
Then Lamia lowered her hand.
Whoooooooooosh!
The swords rained down.
The monsters roared and tried to flee. Some raised their arms, others tried to shield their heads. But nothing worked.
Schlk! Schlk! Schlk!
Swords pierced their bodies, pinning them to the ground. More kept falling until their screams disappeared completely.
When the last sword struck, the dungeon fell silent.
Not a single shard had reached Leon. He remained seated with his eyes closed, completely undisturbed, while the bodies of the monsters lay scattered around the battlefield.
Lamia stood tall amidst the pile of corpses, not a single drop of blood staining her clothes.
