Chapter 295: New Affinity

The green-black sphere blasted, rocking the whole heaven. Cracks appeared all over the place as if the whole earth would crumble at any moment. Green smoke swirled like a tornado.

But suddenly...

Whooooooooooooooooosh!

The tornado of green smoke started to shrink. It was getting smaller, calmer, as if being sucked inside a black hole.

And then...

Puff!

The green smoke totally vanished. Once the dust settled, a huge crater came into view. The other side of the crater couldn’t even be seen.

White smoke curled up leisurely. And amidst that, Logan slowly straightened his back. His hair was floating upward. A green aura emanated from his body. Even his eyes had turned slightly green.

His wounds?

Even after the last attack, all of them had vanished mysteriously. Everyone stared ahead with a blank expression. Because nobody knew how to feel.

Those who were standing on the same side as Logan... Could they relax? But what if Logan turned on them? It wouldn’t even take more than one snap of his fingers to slaughter them all. Yes, they knew they were on the same side. Logan was fighting for the Flame Empire. Yet, a chill went down all their spines. Logan’s strength, Logan’s very existence, felt absurd.

The opponents... The monsters and cultivators from higher Heavens... They were shaking in fear. Even now, their number was over millions. Yet, just the presence of this single individual had changed the whole scenario.

Logan looked at his palms, a faint greenish aura glowing around them. He clenched his fists slowly. "This power!" His lips curved into a smile. "One more affinity. Good. Very good." He raised his head and looked at the dragon. "Primordial dragons..." He started. "I really should be thankful to the primordial dragon race. It’s really hard to find a rich source of an affinity. But primordial dragons are all like affinity mines. I really should say thank you. But..." Logan paused for a bit. "I think you have served your purpose."

As he snapped his fingers, a new set of cloth wrapped around his body again. He leaned forward slightly.

The dragon felt a bad premonition in its heart. It opened its mouth again as another giant sphere started swirling. Its veins bulged as it went all out. Energy gathered crazily.

The dragon thrust its head forward. The swirling sphere shot out. But before it could advance even an inch...

Logan vanished from his position. He appeared before the dragon instantly, as if he had teleported from his position instead of moving.

His body spun in the air as his leg struck the sphere. The whole world seemed to have slowed down. As his leg slammed into the sphere in slow motion, the sphere’s surface caved in like a sponge before the sphere started moving backwards.

Bwaack!

The dragon was forced to swallow the sphere back, its head starting to swell. The swelling then continued backwards, from its head to its body, then toward its legs and tail.

Logan snapped his fingers. Instantly, a three-dimensional crimson barrier surrounded him and the dragon.

Logan raised his right hand. Instantly, a green sphere materialized before him. It wasn’t as huge as the dragon’s, but the power behind it wasn’t lacking by even the slightest.

The green poisonous sphere shot out, entering the dragon’s mouth instantly before another sphere materialized. The speed at which he was conjuring them was way beyond frightening. The dragon’s eyes widened in fear. It wanted to say something, maybe ask Logan to stop, but couldn’t.

Three more green spheres materialized before shooting into the dragon’s mouth one after another.

The swelling continued until the dragon’s body reached its limit. And then...

Booooooooooom!

A deafening sound rang out. The dragon’s body blasted into chunks of meat paste and blood before even those started to evaporate due to the sheer destructiveness of the explosion.

The walls of the barrier Logan had conjured shook, but the impact didn’t slip out.

Yet people and monsters staggered back in fear. Many fell on their backs. The scene in front of them felt like something straight out of a wild dream. Something impossible.

Slowly, the impact of the explosion started to settle. The smoke started to thin out as the barrier vanished slowly.

"Logan!" Lilith whispered.

As the smoke thinned out more, Logan’s figure could be seen standing. No scratch, no wound. Nothing.

The middle-aged man’s body trembled in fear. He staggered back. "Y-you!" He stammered. "You have reached that level, haven’t you?" He asked in fear. He looked at Logan as if he was staring at death itself.

"You have reached the eternal realm, haven’t you?"

At his words, the silence grew even heavier. Everyone froze. Even Lilith and Mercer.

’Eternal realm?’ Mercer’s mind was in chaos. ’No! That’s impossible. No one in the Stary Way River can reach the Eternal realm.’ He wanted to shout in denial but couldn’t. Though the explanation felt wrong, the scene unfolding in front didn’t.

Someone killing a Cultivation God realm primordial beast that easily? Was that even possible without being in the Eternal realm?

Meanwhile, Logan didn’t answer and only turned toward the middle-aged man.

"You’re Su Peng Huian, right? The clan master of the Whisper Of Chaos clan. You are a well-known figure even in the lower realms. It was you who conspired with the orc clan, didn’t you? To kill everyone in that village."

At the mention of the village, the middle-aged man’s expression changed. "How... How do you know that? Who the hell are you actually?"

Logan didn’t reply. He already had his answer. Logan vanished from his position.

The next moment...

Booooom!

The middle-aged man was pinned to the ground, his head half buried in the ground. Cracks had spread like a spiderweb surrounding the crater his head was buried in. And over his face, Logan’s palm rested casually as if he was just touching him. Yet the force behind it made it impossible for the middle-aged man to even move, let alone sit up.

Logan raised his palm, releasing him for a moment. His palm clenched the next moment.

And then...

Splat!
