I Can Level Up Infinitely

Chapter 294: Devil

Under everyone’s intense gaze, the primordial dragon thrust its head forward. Even before the sphere could come out, a shockwave blasted forward, compressing the air.

And then came the green sphere. The moment it left the dragon’s mouth, the air sizzled. The space distorted around it as the sphere moved forward like a destructive force of nature.

"Nooooo," Lilith shouted in panic. Mercer also looked visibly nervous. ’Can he really do it? If he even dodges this attack, this Heaven wouldn’t be able to endure that much corrosive power.’

The middle-aged man, meanwhile, chuckled. "That’s his strongest move. No one can withstand this even if he’s at the peak of power." He spoke. "Not even the grand Emperor."

Logan, meanwhile, still stood still. No fear, no hesitation.

The green sphere of poison stormed forward. Logan’s figure looked like a small dot before the massive sphere.

It reached Logan. It didn’t slam into his body. It swallowed him whole. And then...

Booooooooooooooooooooom!

A deafening sound rang out. The whole Heaven shook violently as if it was about to crumble into nothing. A shockwave erupted with explosive force. Everyone was sent flying. Cracks appeared in the space in many places. Nothing could be seen.

A thick layer of smoke covered the whole area. A pungent smell spread.

Everyone got up from the ground slowly and brushed the dust off their clothes. Lilith looked ahead with a pained expression.

"Finally!" A cultivator from the Ninth Heaven breathed a sigh of relief. "That lunatic was truly troublesome. But he didn’t even try to dodge. What was he here for, actually? Suicide?"

"Yeah. It doesn’t feel right. Is he really dead?"

"Do you even have to ask? No one can live after being hit by something like that."

Just as the murmurs were growing louder, Lilith’s expression lit up a bit. She could feel it.

That familiar aura. That familiar fragrance even amidst the pungent smell.

The dust slowly thinned out. And what they saw next sent goosebumps across everyone’s skin.

A massive crater had appeared where Logan had been standing. The ground was gone for hundreds of meters. Cracks spread around the crater like a giant spiderweb. And right in the middle of it...

Someone was standing.

Lilith’s eyes widened. "Logan..."

His clothes were completely gone. Not even a torn piece remained on his body. But that wasn’t what shocked everyone. His flesh was melting down like hot jelly. The skin around his chest had almost completely disappeared, exposing white bones. Even his internal organs could be seen. Half of his face was burned and rotten. Flesh slowly dripped from his body. He looked less like a human and more like a zombie.

Yet... He was standing. And what was even more shocking... His body was healing. Even after that much damage from where no one should have been able to do it. Fresh flesh grew around the exposed bones. Burned muscles repaired themselves.

Everyone stared with their mouths slightly open. No one spoke. Even the primordial dragon froze.

Logan looked down at his body. "That was stronger than I expected. But..." He raised his right hand. His lips curved into a smile. "I like it. And I want more." His gaze locked on the bewildered primordial dragon.

Snap!

He snapped his fingers. In the next moment, a new set of clothes appeared and wrapped around his body. Logan rolled his shoulders once. His wounds were still healing, but his expression remained excited at the moment. As if what had just happened was nothing worth mentioning.

Lilith’s eyes became slightly wet. A bright smile appeared on her face. She had truly thought he had died for a moment. After all, that last attack was no joke. Cultivation Gods are the strongest beings. And in the same realm, beasts are more dangerous. And when it’s a primordial beast, the power can’t even be compared. A single attack from such a being is enough to destroy a Heaven in just a blink of an eye.

Yet now...

Logan was standing there after taking the strongest attack of a Cultivation God realm primordial dragon directly. Which girl wouldn’t be impressed after seeing something like that? Such battle prowess was unheard of. Her heart was beating faster than usual.

Mercer finally breathed out. Only then did he realize he had been holding his breath the whole time.

"He survived... Hahahahaha." He burst into laughter. "He actually survived. Who knew I would find such a freak in a tavern like that? I am really glad I was present there at that time."

A knight behind them whispered. "We are safe. With him, there is no battle we can’t win."

Another knight tightened his grip around his sword.

Then suddenly...

"YEAHHHH!" Someone shouted. "HE’S ALIVE!"

The silence in the Flame Empire disappeared instantly. Knights and guards raised their weapons. Cheers exploded everywhere.

Until now, they had been afraid. Even with Logan’s presence till now, they still couldn’t completely remove fear from their hearts. He wasn’t from around here. No one knew him. No one knew how strong he was. And there was no reason to believe someone would go to extreme lengths to save them. And there were simply too many enemies.

Too many monsters. Too many powerful cultivators. And three Cultivation God realm beings were standing among them.

But now...

Their fear started to disappear. They finally felt it.

Confidence.

Real confidence.

If Logan could stand after taking something like that directly... Then what were they afraid of?

Lilith looked around at the cheering soldiers before looking back toward Logan. A smile remained on her face.

On the other side...

The primordial dragon wasn’t smiling. Its huge body trembled.

Not from fear.

From rage.

The scales around its neck moved slightly as its breathing became heavier. Suddenly, smoke came out from its nostrils. It landed on the ground, its huge claws digging into the ground.

Crack!

The ground shattered beneath them. The dragon stared at Logan.

Logan stared back.

There was no fear in his eyes. That only made the dragon even angrier. It slowly closed its eyes. ℴ

The middle-aged man’s expression changed. "What is it doing?"

The dragon remained still for a few seconds.

Then...

Its eyes snapped open.

Everyone froze. Its eyes had changed. Both eyes were completely black. Pitch black.

Whoooooosh!

Black smoke suddenly erupted outward like a burst of energy. The air thickened. Everyone felt that a heavy pressure was pinning them down. Those with lower cultivation realms already dropped to their knees.

At first, there was only a little. Then more. And more.

The black smoke wrapped around its neck, wings, and huge body.

Even some monsters moved back in fear. The middle-aged man stared at it in shock.

"What..."

One cultivator beside him took a step back.

"That’s..." His face turned pale. "That’s dark mana."

Someone else heard him. "What? Dark mana!"

Murmurs instantly spread among both humans and monsters.

"Why is a dragon using dark mana?"

"Isn’t dark mana used by devils?"

"Don’t tell me... Is it worshiping a devil?"

"Impossible. It’s a primordial dragon."

"Then explain that!"

More and more people began talking. Even the monsters looked confused. Some dragons in the army stared at the primordial dragon with strange expressions.

Verham’s eyes narrowed in the sky. "So you have been doing this to defeat me? How pathetic! A primordial dragon worshiping devils? Shame on you, Zendal."

But the primordial dragon ignored everyone. Its eyes remained locked on Logan. It slowly reared its head back again.

The black smoke rushed toward its mouth. Green energy gathered again. But this time...

Black energy mixed with it. The two energies twisted together. A sphere swirled into existence and started growing bigger at an incredible speed.

Ten meters.

Twenty.

Its radius grew so high that the sphere bulged out.

Fifty.

It kept growing.

The previous sphere had already been massive. This one was even bigger. The sky above it darkened. The ground began shaking before the attack was even released. Space around the sphere twisted badly.

Crack!

A small crack appeared in the air.

Then another.

Lilith’s smile disappeared. Mercer’s eyes narrowed.

"That attack..." Even the middle-aged man looked terrified. "You stupid dragon! You are going to kill all of us." He roared, hoping that the dragon would stop. But it didn’t.

The primordial dragon opened its mouth wider.

Then...

Wahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

The sphere shot forward. A massive shockwave exploded behind it. Several weaker monsters were instantly thrown away. The ground beneath the sphere was ripped apart as it moved.

Green poison and black mana mixed, leaving a dark trail behind it.

Everyone looked toward Logan. His wounds still hadn’t fully healed. Parts of his arms were still regenerating. The skin around his chest was still forming.

Yet...

He didn’t move.

Lilith’s eyes widened. "Logan... Runnnnnnnnn!" She shouted in an urgent voice.

The sphere came closer. And closer. Logan looked at it calmly.

Then something happened that made everyone question what they were seeing.

Logan slowly spread both arms.

Wide open.

As if welcoming it.

The primordial dragon’s eyes widened.

The middle-aged man froze.

"What is that lunatic doing?"

Logan didn’t answer.

The massive sphere reached him.

And once again...

He allowed it to swallow him whole.

Then...

Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooom!
