I Can Evolve Spirit Elementals
Chapter 111: Wind Weapon Arts
Chapter 111: Chapter 111: Wind Weapon Arts
"Wind Sovereign’s Gale."
The attack had created a path through the tide.
Dozens of beasts had been killed.
Others were thrown away.
And before they could recover, Damon drew the bow again.
This time, three arrows appeared.
He released them together.
The arrows flew in different directions.
Then they curved.
They returned toward the center from three different angles.
Damon’s smile widened.
"Interesting."
BOOM!
The three currents of wind collided.
The resulting explosion tore apart everything caught between them.
The scouts stared.
""What kind of weapon is that?"
Damon could feel Sylphie’s excitement through the bow.
She wanted to try more.
Damon laughed.
"Alright."
He pulled the string again.
"Let’s see what else you can do."
The tide came closer.
Damon stood his ground.
Freya rested behind him.
The Frost Seed continued pulsing inside his pocket.
And Sylphie’s new form was finally in his hands.
The battle changed quickly.
The tide was still coming.
But now Damon could push it back.
That was exactly what he needed.
He raised Sylphie’s bow again. A Wind Arrow formed and Damon pulled the string.
"Let’s try this."
He released it.
WHOOSH!
The arrow flew straight through the battlefield.
Then it suddenly split.
One arrow became three.
Three became six.
The wind arrows curved around the beasts and struck from different directions.
BOOM!
Several B rank beasts were thrown aside.
Damon’s eyes brightened.
"That works."
The bow pulsed in his hand.
Sylphie seemed just as excited.
"Again?"
The wind around the bow gathered.
Damon smiled.
"You’re the one who wanted to experiment."
Another arrow appeared.
This time, Damon didn’t release it immediately.
He moved the bow slightly and Sylphie understood.
The wind around the arrow changed.
Instead of flying straight, it began spinning.
Damon released it.
The arrow drilled through the first beast.
Then the second.
Then the third.
It kept going until the wind finally exploded.
"Not bad."
Damon laughed.
"We’re getting somewhere."
The two of them continued experimenting.
They didn’t need long conversations.
They understood each other through their bond.
Damon would think of an idea. Sylphie would adjust the wind and he would change his aim.
She would change the shape of the attack.
Sometimes the result worked perfectly.
Sometimes it didn’t.
One attack sent a group of beasts flying in the wrong direction.
Damon stared at the result.
"...That wasn’t what I meant."
Sylphie gave him an innocent feeling through their bond.
Damon laughed.
"Fine. We’ll try it again."
The next attempt worked.
A large spiral of wind appeared in the middle of the tide.
It pulled several beasts toward the center.
Damon fired an arrow into it.
"Wind Sovereign’s Spiral."
BOOM!
The arrow entered the spiral and exploded.
The wind tore through the trapped beasts.
Damon’s eyes widened.
"Okay."
He looked at Sylphie.
"That one stays."
The bow vibrated happily.
Damon kept firing.
The battlefield had become their testing ground.
Damon attacked from a distance.
Whenever a beast managed to get close, Sylphie changed the weapon’s form slightly.
The curved blade near the grip extended.
Damon caught the movement immediately.
A B rank beast lunged.
Damon didn’t retreat.
He turned the bow sideways.
The wind blade flashed.
Slash!
The beast’s claw was cut apart.
Damon stepped forward.
"Wind Edge."
The blade swept across its chest.
The beast fell.
Damon looked at the weapon.
"So that’s what you were thinking about."
The bow pulsed.
He smiled.
"I knew you weren’t only thinking about long range."
It explained why Sylphie had taken so long to complete her weapon form.
She hadn’t simply wanted to become a bow.
She had wanted a way to fight beside him no matter the distance.
And now they had it.
The scouts finally gathered enough courage to leave.
They had watched enough.
They had seen Damon fight.
They had seen Freya become a nine tailed fox.
They had seen Sylphie become a weapon.
And now they had watched the two of them combine their abilities.
None of it made sense to them anymore.
One scout looked at the others.
"We have to report."
Nobody argued.
They turned and rushed back.
When they reached the leader, all of them had the same expression.
Frustration.
The leader looked at them.
"Speak."
One scout swallowed.
"Damon is still fighting."
"I know."
"The Wind Spirit has evolved."
The leader’s eyes narrowed.
"We know that too."
"No."
The scout shook his head.
"You don’t understand."
The leader stared at him.
"What happened?"
The scout took a breath.
"The Wind Sovereign Roc became a weapon."
Silence.
"And Damon is using it."
The leader’s expression darkened.
The scout continued.
"They’re combining their abilities."
Another scout stepped forward.
"He can kill groups of B rank beasts from a distance now."
The leader closed his eyes.
For a moment, nobody spoke.
They had underestimated him.
Far too much.
The leader finally opened his eyes.
"Increase the formation."
The scouts looked at him.
"Again?"
"Again."
They had already increased the resonance formations several times.
But it still wasn’t enough.
The leader wasn’t willing to admit defeat.
"Increase everything."
The scouts nodded.
They left again.
The resonance formations activated.
The Ice Aether in the area became heavier.
Damon noticed immediately.
He fired another Wind Arrow.
It cut through several beasts.
But more appeared.
Then more.
The tide became faster.
More aggressive.
The beasts no longer moved like a normal wave.
They charged.
They climbed over each other.
They attacked from every direction.
Damon’s eyes narrowed.
"Here we go."
Sylphie felt it too.
This was different.
Damon fired another arrow.
BOOM!
A group was destroyed.
But the next group was already there.
Then a B rank beast broke through the attack.
It rushed toward Damon.
Damon twisted the bow.
The blade formed.
He blocked the claw.
Clang!
The force pushed him back.
Before he could counter, another beast attacked from behind.
A flash of silver lightning struck it.
BOOM!
Freya appeared beside him in her nine tailed fox form.
Damon laughed.
"Welcome back."
Freya gave a sharp cry. She didn’t want to miss the fun.
Sylphie remained in bow form, while Freya took the close range.
As the three worked together again.
