"I think so! It was two men. One was very tall and quite handsome, and the other was a little shorter with short hair, looked to be in his thirties."

"You have to stay here and get treated. You’re not taking a single step out of this room." Alex felt that might not be enough to convince his sister, so he added, "If you don’t listen to me, I’ll call Mom! We’ll both stay here and watch you until you’re fully recovered."

Evelyn Grant started to say something, but a sudden thought stopped her.

She struggled to lift her head to look at her brother. "Alex... when you got here... did the doctor tell you why... why I was admitted to the hospital?"

"He said you fainted from overworking!"

"He didn’t say anything else?"

Alex shook his head. "No."
