Chapter 751: Chapter 400: Spirit Race Public Star Realm (Part 2)

This immediately led Yuan Shan to a conclusion: his son’s murderer was likely connected to the Starry Sky Guard Team.

Following the clues, he tracked the Starry Sky Guard Team’s movements to several Public Planets they had visited. On some of these planets, he even found goods that had been stolen from his own shops.

At that moment, Yuan Shan was certain. His son’s killer was a member of the Starry Sky Guard Team!

Based on the Starry Sky Guard Team’s route, he deduced that their next most likely destination was the area around Duobao Star.

He therefore traveled to Duobao Star ahead of time to lie in wait. However, many days passed without any sign of activity.

Normally, whenever the Starry Sky Guard Team appeared in a region to fight pirates, some news was bound to spread.

This time, however, there wasn’t the slightest ripple. No news of anyone being rescued, no word of any Star Pirate crews being annihilated.

This led Yuan Shan to doubt himself. ‘Did I miscalculate?’

‘Or have the Starry Sky Guard Team given up the business?’

As a Sun God who had lived for ages, Yuan Shan was not short on patience. He decided to wait a little longer.

…

After a week’s rest on Duobao Star, Su Ze and his team set out once more, heading for the Spirit Race Public Star Realm.

Along the way, however, they still had to keep up their work of fighting pirates.

This time, Su Ze deliberately deviated from the direct route, taking a long detour toward the Spirit Race Public Star Realm specifically to prevent anyone from predicting their course.

As the Starry Sky Guard Team’s fame began to grow, Su Ze had to become more cautious.

What he didn’t know was that as the Starry Sky Guard Team resumed their pirate-fighting activities, they also attracted the attention of Yuan Shan, who was in hot pursuit.

During their journey, Su Ze took out the Metalization Belt.

It was now confirmed that another Tier 9 Bloodline Divine Artifact, the Dimension Ring, was going to be auctioned in the Spirit Race Public Star Realm. That meant Su Ze had to absorb his other Bloodline Divine Artifact, the Metalization Belt, before the auction began.

Otherwise, he risked attracting other individuals who also possessed Bloodline Divine Artifacts.

However, Su Ze intended to use this Tier 9 Divine Artifact to directly upgrade his “Sponge Body” skill to Tier 9. But to be on the safe side, it would be more prudent to first use other upgrade materials to raise “Sponge Body” to a Tier 8 divine skill.

‘After we get to a Spirit Race Public Planet, our top priority will be to find upgrade materials for the ‘Sponge Body’ skill, and for the ‘Blood and Flesh Parasite’ skill…’

After a moment of contemplation, Su Ze gathered everyone on the ship to outline their plan of action for once they arrived in the Spirit Race Public Star Realm.

…

Because they took a detour, Su Ze’s group encountered far more Star Pirates on their journey to the Spirit Race Public Star Realm.

They took down a greater number of them, and the Starry Sky Guard Team’s reputation grew even stronger.

Until… they ran into a crew of Star Pirates led by a Sun God-level powerhouse!

Upon discovering the enemy had a Sun God-level powerhouse in their ranks, Su Ze made a decisive choice: he and the Starry Sky Guard Team used the *Magic Cube*’s top speed to flee.

The pirates actually had a Sun God-level Spaceship of their own, but they gave up the chase after a short while, likely deciding it wasn’t worth wasting time on Su Ze’s group.

When two Sun God-level Spaceships have comparable speeds, a prolonged chase becomes a battle of attrition and endurance, which would be a significant waste of time.

Generally speaking, a Sun God is a figure of immense prestige in any race. They would never stoop so low as to become outlaws, let alone Star Pirates.

Such a thing would be virtually unheard of anywhere else.

And yet, here they were, encountering exactly that in the region bordering the Spirit Race Public Star Realm.

“This major hub is really on another level. Even the Star Pirates are stronger here,” Mr. Ya grumbled.

“For a Sun God to stoop to piracy, the potential profits must be astronomical. It means that the people traveling to and from the Spirit Race Public Star Realm must be loaded,” Lin Hua speculated.

“The people entering and leaving the Spirit Race Public Star Realm aren’t just wealthier, they’re also stronger. You’d need some serious power to take them down, which is probably why a Sun God had to personally get involved in piracy,” Old Waller analyzed.

Su Ze waved his hand to quiet everyone down. “Since the pirates in this area are so powerful, we won’t take any more risks,” he commanded. “Cease all anti-pirate activities. We’re heading straight for the Spirit Race Public Star Realm at full speed.”

The team followed his command, accelerating directly toward a Spirit Race Public Planet.

Just then, the Pope approached him. “Master, I suspect there was more to that crew of Star Pirates than meets the eye.”

“What do you mean?” Su Ze asked, intrigued.

“I’m not sure if you noticed, but those pirates weren’t from a single race. They were a mix of many different species.”

“Now that you mention it… you’re right. That is strange,” Su Ze said, looking thoughtful.

A crew of Star Pirates is almost always composed of a single race. In this line of work, you can’t trust members of other races.

“Is it possible that the Sun God subjugated and took control of a group of underlings from various races?” Su Ze theorized.

It’s entirely possible for a Sun God-level powerhouse to use their absolute strength and control-type abilities to subjugate a motley crew of subordinates from different races. After all, Su Ze himself had members of the Nian Race and the Dou Race under his command. If he wanted, he could easily gather a multi-racial entourage as well.

“That’s a possibility, but I believe another scenario is more likely…” The Pope paused before uttering two words: “The Corrupted!”

Su Ze’s pupils shrank. “Are you certain?”

The Pope replied, “I can only say that it’s highly likely. Firstly, the Corrupted, also known as ‘Race Traitors,’ are outcasts who are not tolerated by their own people. They have no choice but to abandon their kin and band together for survival. Naturally, their ranks would be filled with individuals from every race.”
