Chapter 750: Chapter 400: Spirit Race Public Star Realm

Su Ze and his group rested on Duobao Star for a while. All the members of the Starry Sky Guard Team disembarked, each going their own way to eat, drink, and have some fun.

The constant fighting had left many of them on edge, so it was a good time to relax.

Everyone had matured by now and were no longer the green rookies they once were. Su Ze wasn’t worried about them getting into any trouble on a Public Planet.

Afterward, they sold off a large quantity of resources, most of which was loot obtained from wiping out bandits.

However, since there were over a dozen of them selling the goods separately, they didn’t attract much attention.

Furthermore, they were disguised as the Flame Race, a relatively powerful second-rate race, so no one even considered targeting them.

Su Ze held off on selling the Moon God slaves for the time being. Selling them would expose their identity as the Starry Sky Guard Team.

He planned to sell the slaves just before leaving Duobao Star.

Right now, he was in a hotel room, using the Soul Nourishing Medicine and poisons he’d bought on his journey to help the Shepherd King deal with the Nian Race Sun God’s consciousness.

First, he targeted the Shepherd King’s Consciousness Body with various Soul Nourishing Medicines. During the process, he used his own Spiritual Power to erect a barrier, isolating the Nian Race Sun God’s Consciousness Body.

But no matter how well he isolated it, strengthening the soul would also benefit the Nian Race Sun God’s Consciousness Body. So, immediately after, Su Ze used various Soul Poisons to poison the soul.

The difference this time was the need to isolate the Shepherd King’s Consciousness Body, lest his already fragile consciousness be destroyed by the poison.

Yet, by the same token, poisoning the soul also damaged the Shepherd King’s Consciousness Body, which meant he had to follow up with another round of medicine to repair it.

After going back and forth like this and using up a vast amount of Soul Nourishing Medicine and Soul Poison, he finally suppressed the Nian Race Sun God’s consciousness, forcing it into a deeper slumber.

The Shepherd King’s Consciousness Body, in turn, had recovered some of its vitality and was no longer as fragile.

With a little more effort, Su Ze could completely destroy the Nian Race Sun God’s consciousness, but since he hadn’t yet found a suitable ninth-rank exotic beast corpse, there was no hurry.

‘Once I reach the Spirit Race Public Star Realm, I’ll search for a suitable ninth-rank exotic beast corpse. But before that, I need to upgrade the Pope’s Blood and Flesh Parasite Skill to the eighth rank, or I won’t be able to control a ninth-rank exotic beast.’

‘But with my current savings, after I buy a spatial item capable of holding a Super Star, I’m afraid I won’t be able to afford a ninth-rank exotic beast. It seems I can’t stop hunting bandits on the journey ahead.’

…

What Su Ze didn’t know was that, at this very moment, someone on Duobao Star was searching for him and his team.

「In the docking area of Duobao Star, inside a Sun God-level Spaceship.」

A burly, ape-headed man over three meters tall frowned and addressed the fox-headed man bowing before him.

“Still haven’t found any leads?”

“Correct. It’s as if that group simply vanished,” the fox-headed man replied. “There’s no news of them around Duobao Star, and no sign of them on the other Public Planets in the vicinity either.”

These two were from the Ape Race and the Fox Race, both members of the first-rate Strong Race known as the Beast Race.

The Ape Race man’s voice was cold. “Keep searching! They stole so many treasures from our association. We absolutely cannot let them get away with it!”

“Understood.” The Fox Race man accepted his orders and withdrew.

After leaving the spaceship, the respectful expression on the Fox Race man’s face vanished, replaced by a look of impatience. He muttered,

‘He clearly just wants revenge for his son, but he puts on such a righteous act. If the Clan Leader hadn’t ordered it, I wouldn’t bother serving him.’

Despite his grumbling, the Fox Race man stopped a group from the Bag Race that had just docked. “Have you heard of the Starry Sky Guard Team?” he asked.

Seeing that they were being stopped by a member of the Beast Race, a first-rate Strong Race, the group from the Bag Race didn’t dare express any displeasure. They quickly shook their heads. “Never.”

The Fox Race man waved his hand to dismiss them, wondering to himself, ‘How did the Starry Sky Guard Team just vanish without a trace?’

The shop that Su Ze and his team had robbed back on Mengxing actually belonged to the Four Beasts Commerce Association. This association was jointly owned by the Ape, Fox, Wolf, and Horse Races of the Beast Race. While not a top-tier commerce association in the universe, it was still quite large.

The shop on Mengxing was just one of their many enterprises.

That particular shop was overseen by the Ape Race Sun God, Yua Shan. As a director of the Four Beasts Commerce Association, Yua Shan managed all of the association’s business within the territory of the Illusion Race.

He had entrusted the management of the shop on Mengxing to his son, Yua Kai.

It was undoubtedly a cushy and profitable post, but Yua Kai was clearly not satisfied. He called over his band of crooked friends to scheme with him, focusing on swindling and cheating, exploiting loopholes, and setting traps for others to make money.

This scheme had indeed brought them a handsome income—until they bit off more than they could chew and ran into Su Ze, who wiped them all out in one fell swoop.

After Su Ze killed Yua Kai and his three companions, the Fox Race Sun God stationed on Mengxing intervened, but Su Ze managed to escape using the Replacement Skill.

He had assumed that was the end of the matter, but Su Ze was unaware that Yua Kai had a Sun God father who was dead set on revenge.

Yua Shan had been investigating ever since, but he initially made little progress. The only clues he had were that the killer was a Moon God disguised as a member of the Bag Race, and that their true race was unknown.

However, in Yua Shan’s mind, anyone capable of single-handedly killing four Moon Gods of the same rank—his son Yua Kai among them—had to be from a Dominator Race or, at the very least, a prodigious genius from a first-rate race.

That was until he heard the name “Starry Sky Guard Team.” The team was famous not only for their actions but also for their combat prowess. Each member was said to be invincible against opponents of the same rank, possessing immense power and capable of instantly killing experts of the same level from most other races.
