I am the Clone of a Death Row Inmate
Chapter 713 - 388: The Might of Mr. Ao and the Power of the Ancestral God’s Body
’This planet is certainly strange... but I haven’t found any ambush.’
Balrog noticed that for a habitable planet, this one was a bit large. He also found a considerable number of Spiritual Plants.
Finding evolved Spiritual Plants on a world that hadn’t awakened its evolutionary power was strange, but not inexplicable.
Someone might have brought Spiritual Plants from off-world to cultivate them here.
However, he couldn’t find any signs of intelligent life, even though there was a complex of buildings that didn’t look abandoned.
’Are they all in hiding, or have they evacuated?’
After some thought, Balrog decided to go down and have a look.
He guessed the enemy couldn’t have any real powerhouses. If an Ancestral God were hiding here, he would already be dead; landing or not would make no difference.
It was unlikely there was even a Sun God. If they truly had a Sun God, why send a Moon God and a few Star Gods to attack his brother’s planet?
Besides, one or two Sun Gods posed no real threat to him. Even against three to five, he was confident he could escape with his Sun God-level Spaceship.
’No Ancestral God, not even a Sun God... what kind of ambush could they possibly have? There’s no harm in going down for a look.’
’Besides, I don’t have to leave the spaceship. I can stay inside and use my Spiritual Power and the ship’s detection systems to scan the area. I’ll see if I can find the ones who escaped...’
A Sun God-level spaceship, while stealthed, could evade detection from ships of the same class at long range. Once the distance closed, however, the risk of exposure was high.
Therefore, if Balrog wanted to find Mr. Ya and the others, he would have to land the spaceship and search at close range.
As Balrog’s Sun God-level Spaceship slowly descended, Su Ze, who was in hiding, breathed a sigh of relief.
He had been worried that Balrog wouldn’t take the bait.
The Dou Race forces near Zexing had already discovered its location. And while the Ancestral God’s son likely hadn’t had time to relay the information to his brother, Balrog, the two planets were simply too close.
Balrog’s arrival was, in itself, a massive threat.
Even if Su Ze and Mr. Ya’s group managed to escape unscathed, Balrog could still use the location of the Dou Race Planet to follow the trail right to Zexing.
For a Sun God with a Sun God-level Spaceship, exploring nearby planets was a quick task. It might only take him a few days to find Zexing.
Therefore, as soon as Balrog appeared, Su Ze began plotting how to eliminate him.
He had a history of fighting and defeating opponents above his level, but he’d only been a Moon God for a short time. He hadn’t even had time to upgrade his skills and still had plenty of room to grow stronger.
His only edge was his slightly higher Origin Gene completeness, but a Sun God’s would only be higher than his, never lower.
For him to kill a Sun God at this stage—especially one who wielded at least two ninth-rank Divine Artifacts—was borderline delusional.
Therefore, he had to rely on external power.
Su Ze’s thoughts turned to the physical body left behind by Mr. Ao.
Even without any of its Extraordinary power, the body of a top-tier Ancestral God still surpassed any Sun God in sheer physical strength and defense.
Its overall combat power was definitely at the Sun God level.
However, it had one drawback: it consumed a vast amount of energy. It had to be powered by the dream power from within the base to animate Mr. Ao’s body.
The moment it left Zexing, the supply of dream power would be cut off, and he would lose control of the Ancestral God’s body.
Su Ze maneuvered Mr. Ao’s body, slowly approaching Balrog’s spaceship.
He was just waiting for Balrog to step out of the ship to launch a devastating attack.
But unexpectedly, Balrog was too cautious. He didn’t come out at all, merely flying at a low altitude, hugging the terrain. It seemed he intended to explore the entirety of Zexing from the safety of his ship.
’This guy is so cautious. Is he really a member of the Dou Race? What a disgrace to his people!’
’This isn’t going to work... If I want to trap him here, it looks like I’ll have to make the first move!’
An idea flashed through Su Ze’s mind. He immediately sent a telepathic message to Mr. Ya, telling him and his crew to get ready.
Then, he had Mr. Ao’s body spring into action, launching into the air and landing on Balrog’s spaceship with a single bound.
Simultaneously, Su Ze unleashed his Forbidden Demon Domain, enveloping Balrog’s spaceship.
The ship’s surface had been protected by a Protective Shield capable of blocking a Sun God’s attack, but under the influence of the Forbidden Demon Domain, it vanished instantly.
Without the protection of its shield, the Sun God-level Spaceship was like a toy before Mr. Ao’s body.
Mr. Ao’s body gripped the ship’s hull. One punch smashed a deep crater into the surface, and then it began tearing off slabs of metal plating with its bare hands.
Balrog snapped to his senses and gunned the engines, trying to flee Zexing.
Uncharacteristically cautious for a member of the Dou Race, he was determined not to fight on enemy turf.
The Sun God-level Spaceship was incredibly fast and powerful. With Mr. Ao’s body still clinging to it, the ship shot toward space.
Once it left Zexing’s atmosphere, Su Ze would no longer be able to control Mr. Ao’s body. Furthermore, if Balrog escaped, Zexing’s location would be completely exposed.
The next time Balrog showed up, he would likely have an army of Dou Race powerhouses with him—an enemy the current Zexing Human Race could not hope to match.
Therefore, Balrog had to be stopped.
In the blink of an eye, Balrog’s spaceship shot tens of thousands of meters into the sky.
But just then, another spaceship came hurtling in, slamming violently into Balrog’s vessel.
It was the Magic Cube!
Su Ze’s earlier telepathic message to Mr. Ya had been an order to be ready to intercept Balrog’s ship.
The eighth-rank Star-Catching Net couldn’t capture a Sun God-level Spaceship, so their only option was for the Magic Cube, also a Sun God-level vessel, to use its own hull to block the escape.
