It also granted the ability to issue commands over vast distances.

For example, he could issue simple commands to Pulamon back on Earth, telling him to lie low and hide or to start a rebellion...

Of course, since Pulamon had been controlled by a sixth-tier Blood and Flesh Parasite, this wasn’t currently possible.

Su Ze led the Pope to a cell in the underground base where the two Dou Race captives were held.

"Use your Blood and Flesh Parasite ability on one of them," Su Ze ordered.

He had considered letting the Pope control both captives, but he saw a potential risk. He might capture more prisoners in the future, and he couldn’t possibly give them all to the Pope.

If the Pope ever broke free for some unforeseen reason, he would take Su Ze’s entire army of captives with him.

So, to be safe, he only had the Pope use the parasite on one captive to test its effects first.

The Pope obediently used his Blood and Flesh Parasite ability on one of the captives.

The captive tried to resist during the process, but Su Ze knocked him unconscious with a single slap.

After the process was complete, Su Ze had the Pope test out the various effects and nodded in satisfaction.

Next, Su Ze simulated the Blood and Flesh Parasite ability. However, his target wasn’t the other captive—it was the Pope.

The Pope was now a Star God, so controlling him with the old sixth-tier Blood and Flesh Parasite felt risky. It would be safer to reinforce his control with a seventh-tier version.

Once his "Instant Simulation" ability was off cooldown, Su Ze simulated Blood and Flesh Parasite again, taking control of the other Star God captive.

And just like that, Zexing had two more Star Gods in its ranks.

Moreover, these puppets from other races, controlled via the parasites, could serve as cannon fodder or as a vanguard. Su Ze wouldn’t feel a thing even if they died.

...

Half a month passed in the blink of an eye. On Zexing, everyone’s preparations were complete. They were only waiting for Su Ze’s order to advance on the Dou Race Planet.

One day, Mr. Ya hurried in with a report.

Mr. Ya’s mission lately had been to monitor the Dou Race’s every move.

According to his report, the Dou Race had started exploring nearby planets in the last couple of days, apparently searching for other habitable worlds.

"Too many of their people have died or gone missing. They’re probably worried their home base’s location has been exposed. They might be looking for another planet to use as a secondary base, or maybe they’re planning to migrate altogether," Mr. Ya speculated.

Su Ze frowned. He couldn’t expect the Dou Race to just leave the area on their own. He even had to consider the possibility that they might discover Zexing.

After all, Zexing wasn’t far from the Dou Race Planet. While exploring the region for habitable worlds, they could very well stumble upon Zexing.

"We can’t delay any longer. It’s time to move... Mr. Ya, pass down the order! All God-level experts, assemble!"

At Su Ze’s command, ten Star God experts gathered in the underground base and boarded the Magic Cube.

Su Ze was the last to board. Under his command, the ship left the base, emerged onto the surface, and ascended into the sky.

Below, a crowd had formed. Nearly all of Zexing’s thirty thousand residents were gathered outside, their heads tilted up at the ascending Magic Cube.

They all knew the purpose of this mission. Not having reached God-level themselves, they were powerless to help. All they could do was pray for the safe return of Su Ze and his team.

Even Su Ze couldn’t guarantee a swift victory. Accidents could happen—who could say for sure what the future held?

Su Ze had also made arrangements in case they didn’t return. Die would be tasked with moving everyone on the surface into the underground base to hide for a while.

It would be nearly impossible for them to be found hiding in the underground base. They could emerge once the danger had passed without much risk.

The Magic Cube broke through Zexing’s atmosphere and headed straight for the Dou Race Planet, its hull shifting into a cloaked state.

Once in space, as planned, Su Ze transferred control of the ship to Mr. Ya.

Soon, the ship arrived near the Dou Race Planet.

However, they didn’t attack right away. Instead, they had the Magic Cube slip in and scout the area to confirm the number of Dou Race experts on the planet.

Their main concern was the number of Dou Race Moon Gods. As far as Su Ze knew, this faction of the Dou Race had ten Moon Gods remaining.

After a full scouting sweep, Su Ze had a clear picture of the situation.

There were only eight Moon Gods on the Dou Race Planet at the moment. This meant two were away, likely exploring other life-bearing planets in the vicinity.

However, their leader—the descendant of the Ancestral God—was still on the planet.

There were about fifty or sixty Star Gods, which meant twenty to thirty of them were also off-world.

"Boss, what’s the plan?" Mr. Ya asked, looking back at Su Ze.

"Wait!" Su Ze said in a deep voice.

He chose to hold his forces back, wait for the absent Dou Race members to return, and then wipe them all out in one fell swoop.

If they were going to strike, they had to eliminate the problem root and stem.

If they attacked now, even if they annihilated every Dou Race member on the planet, the ones who were away would eventually return to find their home base destroyed. That would be a major problem, and who knew what kind of trouble they might stir up later.

The Dou Race as a whole hadn’t been exterminated, after all. Plenty of their experts were still out there.

If the survivors called for reinforcements from their kin and attracted even stronger Dou Race warriors, how would Su Ze handle that?

’So, either we don’t strike at all, or we strike to wipe them all out in one go, leaving no one behind!’

The Magic Cube hovered silently in the sky above the Dou Race Planet, waiting for the right moment.

Su Ze didn’t bother trying any infiltration tricks with his two Dou Race Star God captives. ’Two Star Gods suddenly reappearing after being missing for more than half a year? Anyone would know something was fishy.’

...

「A week later.」

A Moon God-level Spaceship landed on the Dou Race Planet.

Two Moon Gods returned with more than twenty Star Gods.

The Magic Cube moved a bit closer to confirm their numbers. Su Ze’s Perception Tentacles spread out, listening in on the conversations of the Dou Race below.

A bare-chested Dou Race Moon God, wearing an ostentatious, large belt, strode out to greet the two returning Moon Gods.

This belted Moon God was none other than the leader of this Dou Race contingent, the son of the Ancestral God.

The moment the two Moon Gods saw their leader, they said, "Young Lord, we made an unexpected discovery. Less than a half-day’s journey from here, we found a massive habitable planet. There appears to be intelligent life on it, but we don’t know what race they belong to."

The other added, "They seem similar to us. There aren’t many of them, and their planet seems to be in the early stages of development. We couldn’t get a read on their strength, though, so we didn’t dare land and investigate rashly. We only observed from orbit."

The "Young Lord" pondered for a moment before nodding. "You did the right thing. Caution is good. Let’s not provoke them for now. Our branch has suffered heavy losses since arriving here, so our priority is to stabilize.

"I’ve already contacted my older brother. He’ll bring his people over in a while. Once our two contingents merge, our strength will increase dramatically. Then we can go and investigate that planet you mentioned."

Inside the Magic Cube, the color drained from Su Ze’s face. ’I can’t believe they’ve already discovered Zexing!’

’And by the sound of it, this "Young Lord" can call for reinforcements and is already planning to move against Zexing.’

’Now I really can’t let them live!’

A murderous glint flashed in Su Ze’s eyes. His voice turned cold. "Mr. Ya, it’s time! Everyone else, prepare to disembark with me!"

At Su Ze’s command, Mr. Ya piloted the Magic Cube into position above the Dou Race Planet, the ship now facing it directly.

"Star-Catching Net, prepare!"

"Aim, lock on target!"

"Fire!"

At Mr. Ya’s shout, a colossal net unfurled, blotting out the sky as it descended to envelop the Dou Race Planet.

The Star-Catching Net could be used to hunt spaceships, but its original purpose was to capture entire planets!

This was also the origin of the name "Star-Catching Net".

The massive net completely enveloped the Dou Race Planet, trapping it and sealing it off from the outside universe.

This massive disturbance naturally alerted the Dou Race on the planet’s surface.

"Enemy attack!"

The son of the Ancestral God roared at the sky, his voice echoing across the entire planet.

"Attack!"

Su Ze led the way, leaving the Magic Cube and charging down towards the Dou Race Planet.
