I am the Clone of a Death Row Inmate
Chapter 706 - 386: Son of the Ancestral God
According to the plan, Su Ze would lead the charge. With his current strength, he was fearless against anyone of the same rank.
Although he had only recently become a Moon God and not all of his skills were upgraded to Tier Eight, his Origin Gene integrity was far higher than others, already on par with a Sun God.
Furthermore, he possessed more skills than others, which to a certain extent compensated for their lower quality.
However, Lin Hua and the others lacked Su Ze’s confidence. They weren’t afraid of facing opponents of the same rank, but there were many other Moon Gods on the Dou Race Planet.
Therefore, the plan was for Su Ze to act as the vanguard. Once he had tied down the majority of the Moon Gods, the others would charge into battle.
This wasn’t a foolproof plan, of course, so Mr. Ya was also piloting the ship, ready to provide covering fire with the Ray Cannons.
The Dou Race Planet, much like Zexing, had a small population and had only been developed for a short time. As a result, the Dou Race people were concentrated in one small region, leaving the rest of the planet vacant.
Su Ze headed straight for the populated area, transformed into a liquid giant, and descended from the sky.
BOOM!
He struck like a falling meteor, making the very earth tremble. The buildings on the ground instantly collapsed, turning the area into a field of ruins.
Wails and screams echoed from within the ruins, but Su Ze remained completely unfazed. The very survival of Zexing was at stake; there was no room for mercy.
The ten Dou Race Moon Gods had already surrounded him, their rage overflowing. In their fury, they all charged at Su Ze at once.
The son of the Ancestral God remained relatively calm. He suspected Su Ze and his people had another trick up their sleeve. ’Otherwise, what gives them the nerve to attack the Dou Race?’
But as he scanned the area, the only thing he saw besides Su Ze was the Sun God-level Spaceship outside the planet.
’Are there other experts on the ship?’
’But if that were the case, why send a lone Moon God out to lead the charge?’
He couldn’t figure it out, so he stopped trying to. ’A lone Moon God daring to charge straight into our home base... Isn’t he just begging to be killed?!’
’Since they’re willing to serve him up on a platter, I certainly won’t refuse. I’ll just take what’s offered.’
"Kill him first!"
The son of the Ancestral God joined the charge against Su Ze.
But before they could even reach Su Ze, an invisible domain spread out and enveloped the entire planet.
"Forbidden Demon Domain!"
The Dou Race members recognized the skill; it had once belonged to one of their own.
Having evolved into a Moon God, Su Ze could now perfectly unleash the power of the Tier Eight divine skill, Forbidden Demon Domain.
Its range could now easily cover an entire planet.
Su Ze dared to face ten Moon Gods alone precisely because he was relying on the combination of this skill and his liquid form.
Within the Forbidden Demon Domain, everyone was restricted to physical attacks. In his liquid form, Su Ze had little to fear from physical blows. Even with ten of them ganging up on him, the damage they could inflict would be limited.
At first, the Dou Race Moon Gods didn’t understand why Su Ze would activate the Forbidden Demon Domain—a skill that should have clearly favored their physically-oriented race. But after a brief exchange of blows, they all understood.
Within the domain, their attacks couldn’t inflict significant damage on Su Ze, but his attacks could land true and wound them.
Moreover, Su Ze’s strength far exceeded their imagination. Especially with the power boost from the Forbidden Demon Domain, he could practically seriously injure a Dou Race Moon God with a single punch.
Cold sweat beaded on the forehead of the Ancestral God’s son. ’This can’t go on,’ he thought. ’If we keep fighting like this, all ten of us might actually be defeated by him alone.’
"Go deal with his companions! Attack that spaceship! I’ll handle things here!"
At his command, the other Dou Race Moon Gods flew toward the Magic Cube outside the planet. Seeing that they couldn’t gain any advantage against Su Ze, they didn’t insist on staying.
But before they could get close, a ray beam brimming with terrifying destructive power swept toward them.
The Moon God at the very front was caught completely off guard and had half his body instantly disintegrated. Witnessing this, the other Moon Gods hastily retreated.
"A Tier Eight Ray Cannon!"
"Damn it!"
Ray Cannons are generally inaccurate when targeting individuals; they are primarily designed for attacking starships and planets. However, if a shot does land, the power is astonishing.
Although the ray didn’t hit the other Moon Gods, it struck the Dou Race Planet, instantly carving out a bottomless crater from which magma began to gush.
The Moon Gods immediately hesitated, not daring to press forward.
Although the Ray Cannon’s accuracy was poor, it was more than enough for self-defense. The closer they got, the greater their chances of being hit.
In other words, even if they risked their lives to charge forward, they wouldn’t be able to pose a threat to a Sun God-level Spaceship in any short amount of time.
A Sun God-level Spaceship’s Protective Shield could withstand a full-powered attack from a Sun God. For a group of Moon Gods like them, breaking through it would be a slow battle of attrition.
It would be like chipping away at a mountain, a process that would consume time and energy to wear it down bit by bit.
Meanwhile, their opponents could retreat at any moment, and there would be nothing the Dou Race could do to stop them.
The only silver lining was that if the spaceship retreated, the Star-Catching Net enveloping the planet would be removed along with it.
The risk of being killed was high, while the potential reward was pitifully small. In the end, they halted their advance.
This left them in an awkward position, unsure of what to do.
’Attack the spaceship? High risk, low reward.’
’Attack Su Ze? We can’t inflict any real damage, and we might even get killed by him instead.’
Like a group of mere Star Gods, the Moon Gods could only stand by and watch the battle silently.
And so, only Su Ze and the son of the Ancestral God were left dueling on the entire planet.
After exchanging a few blows with the son of the Ancestral God, Su Ze confirmed that his strength was indeed a cut above the other Dou Race Moon Gods.
