I am the Clone of a Death Row Inmate
Chapter 650 - 367: Conditions for the Eighth Evolution
One week later, Su Ze successfully merged the broken-down components of the Furious Waves skill into Rhino Charge and Gravity Domain.
Gravity Domain (Quasi-Divine Skill): Allows control over gravity within its range and can condense a Gravity Chain to pull a target from outside the domain to any position within. The domain is filled with Sleep Poison, which affects both body and soul. Creatures infected with Sleep Poison will quickly fall into a deep slumber, eventually succumbing to eternal sleep and death. Any invisible units within the domain will be forcibly revealed and marked for ten minutes. While a target is marked, its position can be sensed even if it leaves the domain.
Rhino Charge (Quasi-Divine Skill): Locks onto a target within range and initiates a charge that ignores terrain. All lifeforms near the charge’s path will be hit by an Air Wave Attack and inflicted with Dizziness. The primary target receives double impact damage and the Dizziness effect. The user is immune to all damage and control effects during the charge.
’There isn’t much to say about Gravity Domain; it just gained the ability to reveal and mark targets. Rhino Charge, on the other hand, was an unexpected success. The fusion with the effects from the other skills went remarkably well.’
The old Rhino Charge only dealt impact damage and caused Dizziness to enemies directly in its path, requiring physical contact. Now, it was a straight-up area-of-effect damage and area-of-effect Dizziness skill.
Simply put, anyone nearby as he charged past would suffer.
This was no longer just a Charge Skill; like Bloodthirsty, it had become a divine skill for the battlefield.
In a clash between two armies, he could just lock onto a target in the enemy’s rear ranks and charge. A huge swathe of enemy soldiers along his path would be blasted to death or knocked unconscious.
Unfortunately, neither Gravity Domain nor Rhino Charge had managed to upgrade directly from a Tier-6 skill to a Divine Skill. They were still stuck at the Quasi-Divine Skill bottleneck.
Still, this was perfectly acceptable. The gap between a Tier-6 skill and a Divine Skill was immense, and it wasn’t easy to bridge it in a single leap.
With that, Su Ze was down one Furious Waves skill. The path to divinity was a process of subtraction; to date, he had already fused away three of his skills.
And this process would continue. His total number of skills would decrease, but their quality would become increasingly refined.
The next thing he wanted to fuse was an attack skill. After hesitating for a moment between "Piercing Needle" and "Weakness Strike," Su Ze chose to first fuse Piercing Needle into "Ultimate Cannon."
He had previously stripped the Sleep Poison effect from the Piercing Needle skill, leaving it with a purer function: to launch a simultaneous piercing attack against a target’s body and soul, triggering an explosion on impact.
As such, there was nothing left to break down, so he would fuse the entire Piercing Needle skill directly into Ultimate Cannon.
Fusing two complete skills, both of which were Quasi-Divine Skills, meant that if the fusion succeeded, it was guaranteed to result in a Divine Skill.
However, the resistance he encountered was also exceptionally strong. Fortunately, Ultimate Cannon was highly receptive to fusion. Moreover, after completing his seventh evolution, Su Ze found fusing skills significantly easier than he had at the Legendary tier. Therefore, while the fusion itself wasn’t difficult, it was inevitably going to be time-consuming.
...
While Su Ze was in seclusion, a crisis was quietly brewing on Blue Star.
The Nian Race powerhouses who had been in hiding gathered and launched a surprise attack on one of the Divine Dice.
Blue Star’s three continents were currently home to only three Legendary-tier powerhouses, each one the ruler of their respective continent. It was impossible to have these three guard the Divine Dice around the clock, so the best they could do was dispatch several Venerable Powerhouses to protect them instead.
But this time, the assembled Nian Race powerhouses had come from all three continents, and they had a considerable number of Venerable Powerhouses in their ranks. They focused their assault on the Divine Dice on the Flame Emperor Continent.
The Flame Emperor Continent’s overall strength was already the weakest of the three continents, and it didn’t have many Venerable Powerhouses. This meant the defensive forces they had deployed around the Divine Dice were relatively thin.
After a fierce battle, the Nian people successfully seized control of the Divine Dice at the cost of several Venerable Powerhouses and sent a call for reinforcements to the Nian Race’s Mother Star.
By the time the ruler of the Flame Emperor Continent arrived at the site of the Divine Dice, the Nian Race powerhouses had long since withdrawn.
Chen Suifeng and the ruler of the Snowfield Continent quickly received the news. The two immediately began planning their response and preparing for the fallout.
They both knew the Nian Race would return in force. The political climate of Blue Star was about to change drastically.
Once the powerhouses from the Nian Race’s Mother Star arrived, there was no way they would be allowed to remain in power. They would all be replaced by members of the Nian Race.
Therefore, they had to make plans early. They would have to go from operating in the open to working from the shadows, hiding to weather the initial storm.
...
Su Ze didn’t know what was happening on Blue Star, but he had long anticipated that the Nian Race’s return in force was only a matter of time.
After more than half a month, he finally succeeded in fusing the Piercing Needle skill into Ultimate Cannon.
Su Ze renamed the fused skill "Ultimate Strike." He reasoned that since he would continue to fuse other attack skills into it in the future, the attack’s manifestation would constantly change. The name "Ultimate Strike," however, would always be fitting.
Ultimate Strike (Tier-7 Divine Skill): Absorbs and compresses surrounding energy and matter within the user’s body. Allows the integration of traits from up to three other mastered skills. Unleashes a dual piercing attack that targets both the enemy’s body and soul, triggering internal explosions within both upon impact. The skill’s power increases with the user’s size.
As expected, the Ultimate Strike skill had upgraded to a Tier-7 Divine Skill, and Su Ze’s total skill count was reduced by one yet again.
Although it was also a Tier-7 Divine Skill, Su Ze could clearly sense that the quality of Ultimate Strike was higher than that of Bloodthirsty and Spongy Body.
