Chapter 651 - 367: Conditions for the Eighth Evolution (Part 2)

Clearly, not all seventh-tier Divine Skills were equal. Although they weren’t graded from S-rank to E-rank like skills below the seventh tier, the disparity was obvious and palpable.

Strongest Strike was already a powerful seventh-tier Divine Skill, possibly A-rank or even S-rank. Of all Su Ze’s skills, excluding Divine Grace of Evolution, only Meteor Impact could currently rival it.

Bloodthirsty and Spongy Body, on the other hand, had only just barely crossed the threshold into the realm of Divine Skills.

Su Ze had a feeling that if he continued fusing skills into Strongest Strike, he would be making a push toward an eighth-tier, Moon God-level skill.

However, for one, it would be quite taxing for Su Ze to fuse a Moon God-level skill at his current stage. For another, the only skill left to fuse into it was Weakness Strike.

Weakness Strike was still only a Quasi-Divine Skill. Even if he fused it, it likely wouldn’t be enough to elevate Strongest Strike to the eighth tier.

So, after some consideration, Su Ze gave up on the idea. He decided to wait until he was stronger and after Weakness Strike had been upgraded before attempting it again.

Next up were his status-type skills. This was the category with the most skills in Su Ze’s arsenal, and organizing them would be a massive project.

With so many status-type skills, just mashing them all together like a ball of dough was out of the question.

Su Ze had previously fused the skills Liquid Life and Expansion into the Quasi-Divine Skill Body Control. His original plan had been to use Body Control as the base and gradually merge his other status-type skills into it, but now it looked like he would have to adjust his strategy.

He decided to take a two-pronged approach. He would split his status-type skills into two groups: one to be fused into Body Control, and the other to be fused into a separate status-type Divine Skill with Spongy Body as the base.

In the future, once he became a Moon God or perhaps even a Sun God, and after both skills had been sufficiently leveled up, he would merge them into a single skill.

As for the criteria to use for classifying all his status-type skills, Su Ze already had an idea.

He planned to categorize them based on whether their effects could be maintained indefinitely.

Some status-type skills, like Unyielding Will and Ant Power, could remain active for extended periods. As long as Su Ze could sustain the cost, he could keep them on indefinitely.

The Liquefaction and Expansion states, which Su Ze had fused, could also be maintained indefinitely without a time limit.

Other skills, however, were different. For instance, Bloodthirsty required constant slaughter to sustain its effect. Spongy Body was similar; once its energy absorption was saturated, the absorption state would end. Releasing the stored energy would then trigger the skill’s cooldown.

Therefore, Su Ze’s plan was to fuse the skills with constant effects into Body Control, and to fuse the remaining skills—those without constant effects—into Spongy Body.

With his strategy set, Su Ze began at once.

He had many status-type skills with constant effects, but the main non-constant ones were currently Bloodthirsty and Spongy Body.

Both of these were already Divine Skills, so it was naturally impossible for Su Ze to fuse them directly.

His goal for this secluded training session was to create as many new Divine Skills as possible, so he decided to start with the constant-effect status skills first.

After a moment of thought, Su Ze set his sights on the Unyielding Will skill, preparing to fuse it directly into Body Control.

This fusion took another half a month. Afterward, Su Ze felt the resulting skill could no longer be called Body Control. After all, it now governed not only his body but his soul as well.

So, he gave it a new name: Self-Control.

’His naming skills were as consistent as ever.’

Self-Control (Seventh-Tier Divine Skill): The user’s body and soul are fused, mutually enhancing one another. When receiving a spiritual attack, the damage is shared between body and soul, and a portion is reflected back to the attacker. Grants free control over body and soul within a certain range. Both body and soul receive bonuses adapted to the user’s current size. The body can undergo Liquefaction.

After its upgrade to a Divine Skill, besides the general enhancement to all its abilities, the most significant change was that his Spiritual Power now also received a bonus based on his physical size.

When he expanded his body and transformed into a giant, it wasn’t just his physical aspects that were enhanced—his Spiritual Power would rise as well. In that state, both his reflected spiritual damage and any spiritual attacks he actively used would become much more powerful.

With this, Su Ze now possessed six Divine Skills.

They were: Self-Control, Strongest Strike, Bloodthirsty, Meteor Impact, Spongy Body, and Divine Grace of Evolution.

He also had four Quasi-Divine Skills: Rhino Charge, Celestial Sea Wings, Gravity Domain, and Weakness Strike.

As for sixth-tier skills, he still had a total of seven: Ant Power, Regeneration Body, Knowledge Is Power, Thunder God Body, Eye of Truth, Instant Simulation, and Space Jump.

This brought his total to 17 skills. Compared to his peak of 22, he had already eliminated 5.

But that wasn’t enough. He had to keep trimming the fat; he still had too many sixth-tier skills.

To attempt the eighth evolution and become a Moon God, he had to meet three conditions:

1. All of his skills had to be upgraded to the seventh-tier Divine Skill level or higher.

2. He had to master at least one Moon God-level skill, meaning an eighth-tier Divine Skill.

3. His Origin Gene had to be perfected to a certain degree.

Although Su Ze was still a long way from his eighth evolution, it was only natural to start planning his skill upgrades well in advance.

With his ability to deconstruct and reconstruct skills, Su Ze had a significant advantage over other evolvers. He was confident he would have no problem meeting the first two conditions. The third condition, however, was frustratingly vague.
