I am the Clone of a Death Row Inmate
Chapter 649 - 366: Secluded Training 3
However, "Meteor Impact" was a special case. This skill was already a Divine Skill, a higher level than the "Strongest Shot" skill. Moreover, it had a complete upgrade path that could guarantee its progression all the way to the Ancestral God level.
Su Ze couldn’t even say for sure if "Strongest Shot" could be upgraded to an Ancestral God-level skill in the future, so there was no reason to fuse a skill that was guaranteed to reach that level into it.
Su Ze might consider fusing them in the future, but only after both "Strongest Shot" and "Meteor Impact" had been upgraded to Ancestral God-level skills.
For now, the priority was to fuse "Needle Strike" and "Weak Point Attack" into it.
As for pure status-type skills, Su Ze had far too many.
For example, "Ant Power," "Unyielding Will," and "Bloodthirsty." You could also count "Spongy Body."
Additionally, "Regeneration Body" was a status skill, just with an added healing effect, and "Thunder God Body" could be considered a partial one as well.
He had too many status skills, some of which weren’t pure, which would require skill disassembly. Su Ze planned to extract those extraneous components before proceeding with fusion.
As for Domain Skills, Su Ze currently had only one: "Gravity Domain." However, Domain Skills were highly versatile, so he planned to fuse some of the leftover components he disassembled into "Gravity Domain."
Furthermore, "Eye of Truth" was also well-suited for being fused into the domain.
Beyond the skills mentioned above, Su Ze realized he had a few others that either had complex, multifaceted effects or were otherwise unique.
Take "Rhino Charge" and "Furious Waves," for example. The former, a Charge Skill, dealt damage, provided crowd control, included movement, and even had a defensive component. It was incredibly versatile, making it difficult to classify.
The latter also had an area-of-effect attack, crowd control, and a detection component.
With skills like these, he had two choices: either treat them as a core skill, constantly fusing and strengthening them to raise their level, or dismantle them and fuse their components into other skills.
Su Ze had already decided to dismantle "Furious Waves," but "Rhino Charge" was an effective and powerful Charge Skill—practically perfect. He was reluctant to part with it and hadn’t yet figured out how he would even dismantle it.
But if he kept it, it would be difficult to fuse his other skills into "Rhino Charge," and he would have to spend too much energy upgrading it separately.
While "Rhino Charge" could at least be dismantled for fusion, Su Ze had no idea how to even begin dismantling the four remaining skills.
The four skills—"Knowledge is Power," "Celestial Sea Wings," "Space Jump," and "Real-time Simulation"—were all special, single-effect skills. Each had only one function, making them impossible to dismantle and difficult to fuse with other skills.
Furthermore, they couldn’t be classified as attack skills, defense skills, or anything of the sort.
"Knowledge is Power" was technically a passive skill, much like "Divine Grace of Evolution." However, "Divine Grace of Evolution" was unique, and Su Ze had no intention of fusing it with anything.
He had also considered fusing "Knowledge is Power" into his status skills but decided it wasn’t a good fit.
The enhancement "Knowledge is Power" provided Su Ze was a one-time, permanent boost, not a temporary state. After being enhanced, the boost was permanent; it wouldn’t disappear if he were to "deactivate" the skill.
If he forced a fusion between "Knowledge is Power" and a status skill, the best-case scenario was that the two wouldn’t interfere with each other, merely splicing their effects together with no other changes.
In the worst-case scenario, it might convert the permanent enhancement into a temporary buff, requiring the skill to be active to receive its benefits. The potential loss clearly outweighed any gain.
’After all, "Knowledge is Power" is a skill with immense potential. Right now, it only enhances my cells, but with further upgrades, it might start enhancing my genes directly.’
Therefore, all things considered, Su Ze decided to leave this skill alone for now. He would upgrade it if he got the materials, and if not, he’d just let it be.
He decided to handle the "Real-time Simulation" skill in the same way, opting not to perform any fusions with it.
As it was, "Real-time Simulation" could mimic any type of skill, giving it a very high ceiling. Fusing it with other skills might narrow its scope and reduce its versatility.
So, he would just upgrade it when he had the right materials, without any need for fusion or disassembly.
As for "Celestial Sea Wings" and "Space Jump," Su Ze thought for a moment and concluded that these two could indeed be fused, just not yet.
Both were movement skills; one ignored terrain, while the other jumped through space. ’If they could be fused, wouldn’t I be able to travel freely through space, or even jump within it?’
For now, however, that was impossible. The skills’ levels were too low, and the distance of Space Jump was very short. Even if the fusion succeeded, the result would likely be underwhelming.
But once both skills were at a higher level, it might be worth a try.
Su Ze reviewed his plan for each skill one last time, then finally got to work.
He decided to start with skill disassembly.
Fusing disassembled skill components was much easier and faster than fusing entire skills.
Su Ze started with "Furious Waves" as a warm-up, dismantling the skill into three components.
They were: "Range Air Wave Attack," "Range Dizziness Control," and "Range Detection and Marking."
The "Range Detection and Marking" component was an obvious fit for his Domain Skill. The problem was that "Range Air Wave Attack" and "Range Dizziness Control" were difficult to place.
The Air Wave Attack didn’t mesh well with any of Su Ze’s other attack skills; adding it would feel forced and superfluous.
The Range Dizziness Control could be fused into the Domain Skill, but he already had a Sleep Poison effect. Adding Dizziness would make the crowd control effects redundant.
Finally, Su Ze bit the bullet and decided to just fuse both components into "Rhino Charge."
Since he was unsure how to handle Rhino Charge anyway, he figured he might as well just fuse them first and focus on upgrading "Rhino Charge" to a Divine Skill.
’Mashing these otherwise useless "leftover components" together might just produce an unexpected effect.’
