Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard
Chapter 1227: Department of Mysteries_2
He stopped in his tracks.
There was no choice. Although he really wanted to capture that audacious person, clearly, he couldn’t catch up to a broom flying in the sky on foot. In the blink of an eye, the other party had already vanished from sight.
Meanwhile, Kael had already taken Arianna through a small patch of the Forbidden Forest and arrived at Hogsmeade Village on the other side.
To calm Arianna’s fear, Kael took her to Honeydukes and extravagantly emptied half the shop.
Of course, Arianna was still hiding under the Invisibility Cloak, so the shopkeeper didn’t see her.
When they left Honeydukes, Arianna’s mind was still in shock… She had never seen so many candies in her life and didn’t even notice how much Kael had bought.
By the time she came to her senses, Kael had already paid and brought her outside.
“Too, too much…” Arianna stammered.
“It’s alright,” Kael waved his hand, “Just take it, someone will reimburse us ten times over.”
Arianna didn’t understand, but Kael didn’t explain either. He just took her to the Three Broomsticks.
There, Arianna enjoyed the sweet Butterbeer which she could previously only drink once a year, now in unlimited amounts.
In addition, she tried the uniquely flavored cherry fizz soda, the shivering mint iced tea, and what she thought was the most delicious honey cream hot cocoa.
It seems to be a family tradition; the Dumbledore family appears to have an extraordinary love for sweets.
Seeing Arianna constantly staring at him, Kael, with a playful intent, let her have a small sip of his whiskey.
Her face turned red from the heat, and she started to gasp, needing three whole drinks to recover.
Even the Invisibility Cloak she wore puffed up slightly, but soon returned to normal.
By the time they left the Three Broomsticks, Arianna was so full she could hardly walk.
They had planned to visit a few more shops and have lunch, but those plans had to be postponed.
Afterward, Kael took Arianna to many places, listened to an opera at a French opera house, washed their faces at the Magic Fountain at Beauxbatons, then quickly escaped upon discovery, just like at Hogwarts.
This time, Arianna wasn’t as scared as she was before and actually found it quite fun.
“Troublemakers!” a guard yelled in frustration, “Don’t let me find out who you are, or you’ll be expelled!”
Washing your face in the sacred Magic Fountain is outrageous!
As for whether it could be people from outside the school, the guard didn’t think anyone could bypass Beauxbatons’ protective magic… so it must be someone from within having fun during the holiday.
“Just having a bit of fun at the fountain shouldn’t warrant expulsion; that’s too harsh a punishment,” an elderly voice said from the side, startling the guard.
He instinctively thought this person was an accomplice, turning angrily.
“It’s not up to you to decide who gets expelled, who do you think you are… Oh, Mr. Nicolas Flamel, my apologies, I didn’t see you there. Why didn’t you let us know you were visiting? We would have come to meet you.”
“It’s alright,” Nicolas Flamel replied with a smile, “I just decided to come on a whim today, don’t worry about it.
“But you mentioned expelling those two students?”
“Two, weren’t there just one?” the guard muttered in confusion, then quickly shook his head and said with an awkward smile, “Well… the headmaster will decide that.”
“I think it’s the holidays, just pretend you didn’t see it. No need to bother Colmde over such a small matter.”
“As you say.” The guard nodded repeatedly.
This man in front, after all, is Beauxbatons’ biggest patron, so naturally, what he says goes.
Nicolas Flamel no longer paid attention to the guard. He only turned to look in the direction Kael and Arianna had fled, muttering to himself with interest, “What interesting people, it seems today was indeed a good day to go out.”
Kael was unaware of what was happening at Beauxbatons.
After leaving the Pyrenees Mountains, he took Arianna to Austria’s famous music street for dinner, and after a short rest, they headed to the Norwegian seaside and watched a sunrise from a tall peak.
After all, it was a hundred years ago, and the certain dark lord hadn’t started his plans yet, so international magical travel and Portkey regulations were virtually non-existent.
As long as Arianna returned to the suitcase, Kael could travel anywhere with just a thought.
He took Arianna through several countries, and it wasn’t until the next morning that they returned to the United Kingdom.
Though it was an enjoyable time, Arianna was exhausted, having experienced more in one day than she had in the past several years combined.
“Where are we going next?” she asked, rubbing her eyes.
“The Ministry of Magic,” Kael said calmly, “Afterward, I need to return.”
Arianna shuddered, and her excitement vanished instantly.
This delightful day of travel had almost made her forget the events of yesterday. Only when Kael mentioned it again did she remember that she couldn’t go home anymore lest her brother Albus be put in danger.
Kael noticed Arianna’s disappointment but didn’t know what to say.
Originally, they were to handle this yesterday, but postponing it till today was already the limit. He had to hurry back to check on Dumbledore’s situation.
