Hogwarts: I Am an Exemplary Wizard

Chapter 1226: Department of Mysteries

Arianna really liked Kael’s box. She had never felt so free before, even able to close her eyes and run without worry for a very long time.

The soft grass was something she had never experienced before. Lying down on it, she seemed to forget all her troubles instantly, and she became completely relaxed.

There were also those adorable animals that appeared from time to time, a sight Arianna had never seen before.

The only thing that slightly disappointed her was that her favorite creatures, with long necks and big eyes, seemed rather timid. Whenever she tried to approach them, they would quickly flee to a far distance.

But this little episode could not spoil Arianna’s good mood; she even thought to herself that living here forever might not be a bad choice.

However, this thought did not come to fruition.

As if in the blink of an eye, Kael appeared before her again.

Though she was very reluctant, Arianna followed him out of the box, turning back to look every few steps.

However, this feeling of reluctance didn’t last long; as soon as she stepped out of the box, Arianna’s gaze was immediately drawn to the magnificent structure before her.

“Allow me to introduce…” Kael pointed ahead with a smile and said, “What you see now is the famous Hogwarts, where your two brothers attend school.”

Because of their status, they didn’t go inside the school, so Kael found a relatively high spot near the Quidditch Pitch, where they could see the entire view of Hogwarts.

“What a big house!”

Arianna gaped, her eyes sparkling like stars.

She had never seen such a large house; just one of the attics here seemed bigger than her home.

Is this where her brothers went every time they left home?

Arianna stared as if she wanted to imprint the image of Hogwarts in her mind, but it was too large for her to take it all in at once.

“What’s that?” Arianna pointed to the rings standing in mid-air and asked.

“Those are goalposts,” Kael explained patiently, “for Quidditch.”

“Quidditch?” Arianna blinked.

“A sport most loved by students; every year during matches, this place is filled with spectators,” Kael said.

However…

He glanced at the faded goalposts.

These things seemed to have not been used for a long time, and the stands in the field also appeared dilapidated, with many places covered in a thick layer of dust.

Legend has it that Phineas Black canceled Quidditch activities during his tenure as headmaster; now it seems this was not just a rumor.

From the current state, this pitch probably hasn’t been used for at least five years.

“Come on, I’ll show you another place,” Kael said.

“How do we get down?” Arianna looked around.

“Of course, in the fastest way, fly down.” Kael took out a broomstick and lifted Arianna onto it.

“Remember to wear your Invisibility Cloak, under no circumstances should it fall off you,” Kael reminded.

Arianna, not sure why, nodded and grabbed the edge of the Invisibility Cloak.

Then Kael also mounted the broom, and under his command, the Firebolt shot high into the sky.

“Ah!”

Arianna screamed in surprise at the sudden change!

But soon, her screams turned from fear into excited shouts.

She realized she had become like the bird she always longed to be, freely soaring through the vast sky.

Kael took her through the high goalposts, and then they circled back around. In the process, the broom even flipped upside down.

Arianna thought she was going to fall, closing her eyes in fear, but it didn’t happen. She was still sitting safely on the broom, and the occasional black mist emanating from her body was firmly suppressed by the Invisibility Cloak.

Kael took her across the field, sweeping past the highest tower of the castle, and finally stopped over the lush Forbidden Forest.

At this time, Hogwarts did not have a Gamekeeper, and the Forbidden Forest and the school castle were still separated, divided into two parts by a long fence.

“Who’s there!”

A roar came from below as a person ran over quickly from afar, shouting at the two flying in the sky:

“This is Hogwarts, who are you to trespass during vacation? I’m going to take you to the Ministry of Magic!”

“Oh, looks like we’ve been discovered,” Kael said leisurely, his tone not at all surprised.

Flying so openly over Hogwarts, it would be strange not to be discovered.

“Are we going to be caught?” Arianna said worriedly.

She was constantly told since she was young that if she ran outside, she would be caught and sent to a terrible place where no one could find her.

Thinking of this, Arianna became even more frightened.

“As long as we don’t get caught, right?” Kael said with a smile, “Hold on tight.”

He turned the broom sharply, and the Firebolt nimbly made a turn in mid-air, flying further and further away under the shocked gaze of the person below.

“Merlin’s beard…” the person rubbed his eyes, murmuring in disbelief, “Brooms can fly this fast now?”

Since the headmaster canceled Quidditch matches six years ago, he hadn’t seen a flying broomstick at the school anymore. Who knew the outside world had changed so much…
