Heavenly Dungeon: My Subordinates Are All Woman Monsters
Chapter 76: Summoning Another Subordinate
Chapter 76: Chapter 76: Summoning Another Subordinate
One group eventually stepped on a pressure plate.
Click.
The floor beneath them suddenly collapsed.
Several adventurers fell into the hidden pit below, while the others barely managed to avoid the same fate.
Another group encountered a pack of wolves.
The battle was not particularly difficult, but the adventurers were already exhausted from the maze and traps. After defeating the monsters, they decided to retreat instead of continuing deeper.
Ragnar watched the entire process from his throne.
None of them even reached the halfway point of the first floor.
"That’s faster than I expected."
The adventurers eventually began retreating.
Some managed to escape, others were not so fortunate.
Several of them were caught by monsters while trying to find their way back, and one group was overwhelmed after making a wrong turn into an area they had already passed through.
The system notifications appeared one after another.
[An intruder has been defeated.]
[Soul Point +1]
[An intruder has been defeated.]
[Soul Point +1]
[An intruder has been defeated.]
[Soul Point +1]
Ragnar’s eyes narrowed slightly as he watched the notifications.
"Well, it’s better than nothing."
The raid continued for some time.
By the time the surviving adventurers finally escaped the dungeon, fifteen adventurers had died inside.
[The dungeon raid has ended.]
[Total Soul Points gained: 15]
[Current Soul Points: 15]
Ragnar stared at the final notification.
Then a satisfied smile appeared on his face.
"Fifteen."
He leaned back against the throne.
"Not bad at all."
----
Ragnar stared at the final notification for a few more seconds before leaning back against the obsidian throne. Fifteen Soul Points was certainly not a fortune, but considering that the adventurers had barely managed to explore half of the first floor, he was satisfied with the result.
More importantly, the dungeon had continued operating without requiring him to spend any Soul Points on restoration.
Then Ragnar suddenly remembered something.
"Right."
He raised his head.
"Let’s see how many Soul Points I need to use the Subordinate Gacha System."
The moment he said those words, a new thought crossed his mind.
He was now Level 27.
Level 27.
Ragnar immediately opened the system menu and selected the Subordinate Gacha tab. A familiar interface appeared before him, but there was one noticeable difference from the last time he had checked it.
[Subordinate Gacha System]
[Current Level: 27]
[Cost per Draw: 30 Soul Points]
Ragnar stared at the number.
"Thirty?"
His expression twitched.
"Didn’t it used to be cheaper?"
The system gave him no explanation.
Ragnar quickly understood what had happened.
The Subordinate Gacha System scaled with his level. As his own level increased, the cost of each draw increased as well. It was probably designed that way to prevent him from continuously obtaining powerful subordinates without investing more resources into his dungeon.
"Of course."
Ragnar rubbed his chin.
"Nothing in this system is ever cheap."
He currently had fifteen Soul Points.
That was only half of what he needed for a single draw.
Ragnar looked toward the gacha interface for several seconds before closing it.
There was no point wasting time staring at something he could not use.
"I’ll just wait."
After all, the dungeon was already attracting adventurers.
If things continued at the current pace, he would eventually accumulate enough Soul Points for another draw.
Ragnar settled comfortably into his throne.
"Thirty Soul Points."
He smiled.
"I wonder what kind of subordinate I’ll get this time."
The next day arrived.
Ragnar once again sat upon his obsidian throne, his enormous demonic body occupying most of the seat. The dungeon remained relatively quiet, but several adventurers had entered during the previous day, and some had died while exploring the first floor.
The system notification finally appeared.
[Soul Point +1]
[Soul Point +1]
[Soul Point +1]
Ragnar raised an eyebrow. He opened his status window.
[Current Soul Points: 20]
Ragnar nodded.
"Twenty."
He was still ten Soul Points short of a gacha draw, but at least his total was steadily increasing.
He could wait.
There was no reason to rush.
Ragnar closed his status window and rested his head against the throne.
His first subordinate had already proven useful.
If he was lucky, his next summon could become another powerful addition to his dungeon.
He looked toward the system.
"Once I have enough, I’ll draw."
For now, there was nothing else he could do.
So Ragnar waited.
----
For the next two days, Ragnar continued to wait.
The dungeon remained active during that time. Adventurers continued entering the first floor.
Every adventurer who died inside became another source of Soul Points.
It was not a huge amount, but it was consistent.
By the end of the second day, another system notification finally appeared before Ragnar.
[Soul Point +1]
[Soul Point +1]
[Soul Point +1]
Ragnar opened his status window.
[Current Soul Points: 30]
His eyes immediately brightened.
"Finally."
He had been waiting for this moment.
Thirty Soul Points were not easy to obtain at his current level. He could have spent them on monsters, traps, or other improvements, but Ragnar had deliberately saved every Soul Point because he wanted to see what kind of subordinate the gacha would give him.
He opened the Subordinate Gacha System. The familiar interface appeared before him.
[Subordinate Gacha System]
[Current Level: 27]
[Cost per Draw: 30 Soul Points]
[Current Soul Points: 30]
[One draw available.]
Ragnar stared at the final line.
A grin slowly appeared across his demonic face.
"Let’s see what I get."
He reached out and pressed the summon button.
The moment he did, all thirty Soul Points disappeared.
[30 Soul Points consumed.]
[Subordinate Gacha activated.]
The entire throne room suddenly changed. A massive magic circle appeared on the floor.
Crimson and golden symbols spread across the stone, rotating around one another as an intense magical presence began gathering in the center. The air became heavy, and even Ragnar could feel the tremendous amount of energy being concentrated within the summoning circle.
Ragnar’s expression became serious.
"This is..."
The magic circle suddenly erupted with light.
BOOOOOOM!
A pillar of energy shot toward the ceiling.
Ragnar narrowed his eyes as he watched the light gradually take shape.
