Heavenly Dungeon: My Subordinates Are All Woman Monsters
Chapter 113: The Gravehorn Reaper Is Here
Chapter 113: Chapter 113: The Gravehorn Reaper Is Here
"Don’t get greedy!" Kyle shouted from the other side of the formation. "If you can’t finish it in one strike, create an opening for your teammates. We have the numbers to deal with them together!"
His words reminded the adventurers of their greatest advantage
The Gravefang Beasts might possess powerful jaws and regenerative abilities, but the Mad Wolves had teamwork, diverse skills, and a clear formation. As long as they supported one another, they could exploit the creatures’ weaknesses without allowing the battle to descend into chaos.
Kyle charged toward another Gravefang Beast.
The creature roared, releasing a wave of death energy that swept through the surrounding mist. Several adventurers felt their hearts tighten as the sound echoed through the forest, and one of the mages briefly lost control of the spell he was preparing.
However, Kyle had already experienced the effects of the howl. He gritted his teeth and forced himself forward, refusing to let the unnatural fear slow his movements.
His greatsword rose above his shoulder.
"Die, monster!"
He brought it down with overwhelming force.
The Gravefang Beast attempted to dodge, but its movement was too slow. The blade struck its neck and cut through it, sending its head tumbling across the ground.
Another creature fell.
Kyle immediately shifted his attention toward the next target, refusing to waste the opportunity created by his enhanced strength.
The battle continued to intensify as the Mad Wolves gradually adapted to their opponents. Although the Gravefang Beasts still possessed the advantage of their unnatural endurance, the adventurers were no longer attacking blindly. Every successful strike brought them closer to overcoming the encirclement.
----
Ragnar watched the unfolding battle through his system interface.
His enormous figure remained seated upon his throne, while his glowing eyes followed the movements of the Mad Wolves. The system displayed the fighting taking place inside the Dead Forest, allowing him to observe how the adventurers responded to the monsters.
When Kyle activated Berserker’s Might and severed the first Gravefang Beast’s head, Ragnar’s eyes narrowed slightly.
"So the leader has a strength-enhancement skill."
Ragnar continued watching the battle through his system interface, his glowing eyes following the movements of the Mad Wolves as they gradually gained the upper hand against the Gravefang Beasts.
The adventurers had adapted faster than he expected. Once they discovered that severing the monsters’ heads could prevent them from regenerating, they began coordinating their attacks more effectively.
The Guardians maintained the defensive formation, the mages restricted the Gravefang Beasts’ movements, and the melee fighters took advantage of every opening to deliver killing blows.
Although several adventurers had suffered minor injuries, the Mad Wolves had not lost anyone yet.
However, Ragnar wasn’t foolish enough to believe the battle was already decided.
His gaze shifted toward the deeper part of the Dead Forest, where something considerably more dangerous was approaching.
A massive figure moved between the twisted trees, its heavy hooves pressing into the withered ground. Dark death energy flowed around its body, and a pair of enormous horns emerged from the mist like the branches of a dead tree.
The Gravehorn Reaper had finally arrived.
Ragnar’s expression changed slightly.
’It’s coming out now?’
The Mad Wolves were already occupied with the remaining Gravefang Beasts. Their formation had been designed to deal with the creatures surrounding them, and their attention was focused on the immediate threats.
They hadn’t noticed the approaching mini-boss.
Ragnar leaned forward slightly.
’Let’s see how they respond to this.
----
Inside the Dead Forest, Kyle had just finished off another Gravefang Beast when a sudden rumble echoed through the mist.
At first, he thought it was simply the sound of another creature moving between the trees. However, the ground beneath his boots soon began to tremble, and the noise grew louder with every passing second.
Thud! Thud! Thud!
The sound of heavy hooves rapidly approached from behind the formation.
Kyle’s instincts screamed at him.
He immediately turned around, but what emerged from the mist made his eyes widen.
A gigantic undead stag was charging directly toward them.
Its skull was completely exposed, with two enormous black horns growing from either side of its head. Unlike ordinary antlers, the horns were thick and twisted, resembling the branches of an ancient dead tree.
The creature’s enormous horns were pointed directly at the Mad Wolves.
And it was moving far too quickly for something of its size.
"WHAT IS THAT?!"
One of the adventurers shouted in alarm.
Kyle’s pupils contracted.
’Another unknown monster? And this one is different!’
He immediately recognized that the creature was far more dangerous than the Gravefang Beasts. Its massive body, powerful limbs, and enormous horns suggested that it specialized in charging attacks, and its speed was frightening considering its size.
However, Kyle had realized the danger too late.
The Gravehorn Reaper had already activated its skill.
[Gravehorn Charge]
Dark purple death energy surged through its body, spreading along its thick limbs and gathering around its enormous horns. The flame inside its rib cage flared violently, and the creature lowered its skull before accelerating to an even more terrifying speed.
The ground cracked beneath its hooves.
A moment later, it crashed into the Mad Wolves’ defensive formation.
BOOOOOOM!
The impact shook the entire forest.
The three Guardians barely had time to react before the Gravehorn Reaper’s reinforced horns slammed into their combined barrier. The defensive layers that had endured the Gravefang Beasts’ repeated attacks shattered almost instantly.
Crack!
Crack!
CRAAAAASH!
The magical barrier broke apart in a storm of scattered energy.
The three Guardians were thrown backward by the backlash, their faces turning pale as the sudden destruction of their defensive skills disrupted their balance.
"THE BARRIER!"
"EVERYONE, FALL BACK!"
The Mad Wolves reacted immediately. Several members moved to intercept the charging monster, while the mages hurriedly prepared defensive spells. Their ranged fighters tried to redirect their weapons toward the new threat, but the Gravehorn Reaper had already broken through the center of their formation.
One adventurer stood directly in its path.
He tried to evade, but the creature’s speed exceeded his expectations. Before he could move far enough to escape, one of the enormous black horns pierced through his body.
His eyes widened.
