Chapter 376: Shao Xia is Missing (II)

Xie Daiyu’s eyes turned tearful, but he did not shed a single tear. He simply shook his head and said, "I am glad that you are back. As long as you are alright, nothing else matters." Only he knew how scared he was when he found out that Ruan Chanchan had fallen off the cliff; she was a woman without a totem. If something happened to her, then the chances of her survival were close to none. Ruan Chanchan was lucky that she ran into the people of the killer whale tribe, or else she would have died in the sea.

He then looked at Ruan Chanchan carefully before saying to her, "Chanchan, how are you these days? Because of the prince, I could not even talk to you properly." Every time he tried to get close to Ruan Chanchan, Rong Xian would come looking for her and would cause a ruckus. If he stayed with Ruan Chanchan, then Rong Xian insisted on staying with her as well. He couldn’t even talk with Ruan Chanchan without being interrupted by Rong Xian.

Now that the two of them were alone, he could finally talk with Ruan Chanchan without worrying about anything.

"Let’s have some rest first, we will talk about everything later on," Ruan Chanchan looked at Xie Daiyu, whose eyes were just as weary as Yuan Ni’s. Maybe it was because he was carrying their children, but he looked even more tired. But then again, she knew how tiring it was to carry a child. Even without doing anything, Xie Daiyu’s body was doing a lot. Resting was his top priority!

"But I cannot sleep. I am worried that as long as I close my eyes, you will disappear once again." Xie Daiyu refused, as he truly feared Ruan Chanchan’s disappearance. The last time he left her alone, this woman disappeared for months. What if he turned his back on her and dared to close his eyes? What if she disappeared again? He did not dare to take the risk!

Ruan Chanchan knew that Xie Daiyu was worried. She sighed and patted him on the back of his hands before saying to him, "Alright, how about this? Lie down with me, and I will tell you everything that happened in the killer whale tribe. How about that?" She then told Xie Daiyu about what she had done at the killer whale tribe. By the time she finished telling him about the heated beds, she could not help but worryingly ask if the elders of the tribe would have something to say about it.

"There is no need to worry. Those heated beds are of no use to us; we live near the volcanoes, and the temperature here is very high. Anyway, those things came out of your mind, what can the elders say about it?" However, even though he said those words, Xie Daiyu was not certain. He knew the elders that if they found out that Ruan Chanchan had told the killer whale tribe something so good, they would never stay silent.

Xie Daiyu nodded and closed his eyes before embracing Ruan Chanchan into his arms. This time, he could finally sleep peacefully.

On the other side, Chief Xie thought that she would finally be able to rest easy. But who would have thought that as soon as she returned to her cave, she would be cornered by Xiao Ya and the rest of the team that followed Shao Xia?

"Chief, Shao Xia has been missing for a while. You need to help us," Xiao Ya came to beg in front of the chief.

Chief Xie pursed her lips when she heard Xiao Ya’s remark. She had been missing from the tribe for a while and had no idea what was going on. She turned to look at her husband and waited for him to speak.

Master Xie’s face was not good. He had been troubled because of this matter for a while. No one knew what had happened, but Shao Xia had suddenly gone missing. Ever since that woman disappeared, the people from her team would often come to cause trouble for him. It wasn’t that he had not sent people to look for Shao Xia. But it was as if the woman had disappeared into thin air. No matter how many of the totem warriors went to look for her, they could not find her. It was as if she never existed.

"Tell me what I was supposed to do? She left the tribe without telling anyone. Everyone knows that she wanted to leave the tribe for a long time. Maybe she suddenly chose to leave? What can I do in such a scenario? I still sent a few totem warriors to look for her, but if I keep sending people to look for her, how am I supposed to send people to hunt?"

"There are only a few trackers in the tribe. I can only ask them to leave their posts for a few days, but I cannot ask them to continue looking for Shao Xia every day. Can I?" Master Xie felt that these people were making trouble for no reason. Shao Xia had stated countless times that she wanted to leave. Now that she was missing, who could assure that she didn’t leave because she wanted to? Maybe she was already with another tribe.
