Chapter 377: Still Going On A Hunt

When Chief Xie heard these words, she was so angry that she raised her hand and slapped the woman who had spoken out of the line with her husband. She said angrily, "what do you know!? Do you think it is easy for us to find someone who does not want to be found? Do you expect us to ignore the entire tribe and only focus on Shao Xia? When Xiao Ya and the rest saw that Chief Xie was angry, they had no choice but to turn around and leave. They understood one thing: even if they were to cause trouble now, with Chief Xie determined not to interfere, there wasn’t much that they could do. Xiao Ya also wanted to coerce the chief but after seeing her stance, she knew that the chances of doing it were close to none.

Xiao Ya pursed her lips, not knowing what to do. With the current situation, it seemed like her popularity was only going to hit rock bottom. Earlier she was following Shao Xia and was quite popular but after Shao Xia disappeared, the mers started to pay less and less attention to her. Only then did she realise that these mers were just after Shao Xia! They wanted to make use of her close relationship with Shao Xia and get close to her. They never wanted to get close to her at all!

When Xiao Ya realised that her popularity was just fleeting, she could not help but turn worried. What was she supposed to do now? It seemed like she had no choice but to coax Hei Ya. Hei Ya liked her very much, so if she were to coax him that mer would definitely return her advances.

Although Hei Ya was punished, it did not matter. He was a strong mer and was also a member of the tribe, and it seemed like he was too important; if not, then the chief would not have punished him so simply. Anyway, Hei Ya only needed to produce a few kids and then he would be free; after that, he could always partner with another female. "Hunt? You are still going to hunt?" Ruan Chanchan was stunned when she heard Xie Daiyu say that he was going to hunt. What was going on? Didn’t anyone tell him that he should stop hunting?

To her surprise Xie Daiyu actually nodded and said, "There is no other choice; I have to go out and hunt."
