“Aunt Yu!” Kong Pili looked at Yu Dong who had already disappeared. She turned to look at the other three children and questioned, “Where is she going?”

“She must have gone back to punish those bad people,” replied Yu Mai while waving his two little fists. “They bullied Mai and tied him up, sister must beat them up.”

His thought process was simple, since he was bullied then his sister should teach those bad people a lesson.

However, Kang Pili and the others didn’t think that it was such a simple matter. Yu Dong was alone while the women who kidnapped them were not. Could she even take down so many thugs alone?

She looked at Kong Li and Li Cui, both of them looked just as worried.

After thinking about it a little, she pursed her lips and said to the other two, “We will wait for an hour just like how Aunt Yu asked us but if she doesn’t return then we will look for Mother or someone who can help her.”

They have caused enough trouble by not listening to the adults.

Kong Li nodded and even though Li Cui seemed a bit hesitant as he was worried about his daddy worrying over him, he still nodded.

The four kids walked to the tea house where Madam Hea was sitting beside the counter. When she saw the two girls and two mers coming to where she was sitting, she raised her head and frowned. What was this? Why were these kids alone?

What were their parents thinking, leaving them alone like this?

“Are you Madam Hea?” Kong Pili asked the woman politely and Madam Hea nodded with the same frown on her face.

She peered down at Kong Pili before asking, “Who are you little girl and where are your parents?”

“Auntie Yu left us here,” replied Kong Li as she looked up at the woman with a sweet smile on her face. “She asked us to stay here until she comes to take us with her. She said that she will come to find us in an hour.”

When Madam Hea heard Kong Li speak of Yu Dong, her eyes widened slightly in surprise as she peered out of the door of her shop. She asked, “Is your Auntie Yu still outside?”

“No. She left after handing us the money,” replied Kong Li as she handed the three taels to Madam Hea who glanced at the money in front of her and nodded before saying, “Very well, I will take you to a private room on the third floor. Come with me, you all look tired and hungry.”

While Madam Hea was settling the children, Yu Dong was running back to the mountains from where she had rescued the children, it was just as she had expected.

The thugs and goons have found out that the children were missing and were thus looking around the mountains.

Yu Dong narrowed her eyes sharply when she noticed the goons lurking in the shadows. They were trying hard not to make anyone sense that something was going on but with the ruckus they were making it was impossible.

“Look for them, they mustn’t have gotten too far,” the bald woman who was called Mighty Bear told the others as she searched for the brats that had escaped her. She couldn’t believe that with so many of them looking after those kids, they still somehow managed to escape.

She didn’t believe that those brats would have escaped far and even if Black Cat and Worm Foot were helping them, those brats couldn’t escape them.

After all, they were the most notable thugs in this city! They also had Master Hualin backing them up.

There was no way those brats were getting away from them.

With that thought in her head, Mighty Bear became emboldened. She turned to look at the path that was right next to her and started marching up.

“Those bitches, they better not fall in my hands,” she grunted as she walked up the path. She was certain that since no one helped them from outside then they must be from inside.

As they couldn’t find either Black Cat or Worm Foot, Mighty Bear thought that it was them who helped the four brats.

As she was too focused looking ahead of her, she missed Yu Dong who was crouching up on the branch right above her head. So when Mighty Bear walked ahead, Yu Dong took out a shotgun from her space, she aimed it at the back of the head of Mighty Bear and then —

BANG!

The bullet struck right into the head of Mighty Bear who fell on the ground with a thump.

“That’s some fascinating thing that you have there,” a voice said from behind and Yu Dong turned around. Before the woman could attack her, she turned around and threw a dart at her opponent.

At the same time, she ducked to one side and avoided the poisoned needle that was aimed at her.

There was a hiss over her head and she looked at the woman who was with Master Hualin.

“And you have some fascinating poison,” remarked Yu Dong as she eyed the hole in the tree. If she was not quick enough, this woman would have killed her.

Monkey Tail smiled at her before taking out a bunch of needles from her pouch. She showed them to Yu Dong before saying, “I have many more. Let’s see if you can survive them all?” She sounded innocent almost curious like a child who was eager to try how wonderful her new toy was.

With that, Monkey Tail hurled the bunch of needles at Yu Dong who jumped out of the spot and started throwing daggers from her space at the woman.

“You are skilled but not that skilled,” the woman taunted Yu Dong who smiled back at her without looking offended.

She took out a small fission bomb from her space and hurled it at Monkey Tail.

“I am indeed not skilled but — I have resources to back my lack of skills.”
