Guide to raise my cutie husbands

Chapter 1674 - 1674: Skilled but not that skilled

Yu Dong knew that she could not continue looking around the house, the woman named Master Hualin would soon sense something amiss and would come after her.

With her feet padding across the corridor silently, Yu Dong finally came to a stop near a small shack which was behind the house. Her eyes narrowed at the hidden shack and the women who were guarding it.

With her head twisting behind her, she looked at the empty corridor before pivoting on the spot and jumping on the roof of the house when no one was looking.

The woman standing on guard at the front of the shack looked at the roof when she noticed a blur of shadow behind her. She turned around and peered at the corner with a frown on her face.

“What’s wrong?” The woman next to her asked, when she saw that her partner was peering up at the roof of the old house.

“I thought I saw something,” said the other woman with a machete.

The woman with a sword peered up at the roof but she didn’t see anything. So she shrugged and said, “You might have seen a bird or something.”

“No, it was bigger,” the woman with the machete shook her head but when she saw no one on the roof, she turned her head away and then started to patrol around the shack.

Yu Dong peered out of the corner of the roof, she took the opportunity when the two women were looking around and then jumped on the tree next to the house.

While hiding in the shadows, she jumped from one tree to another. As she got close to the two women, Yu Dong took out a dagger from her space, it was a lightsaber dagger that she had never used on any human other than zombies.

But at that moment, she cared nothing about not using it. People like these didn’t deserve an easy death. After all, Yu Mai and Li Cui might not be the only mers they have kidnapped and sold.

Yu Dong slid down the trunk and snuck behind the two women and just as the one with the machete walked behind the shake, Yu Dong raised the lightsaber dagger in her hand and swiped it across the neck of the woman.

Her eyes widened but before she could open her mouth and scream, her body melted. It turned into a puddle of blood and molten gooey flesh.

This dagger was specially prepared for dealing with mutated zombies which were harder to deal with, of course, no human had any chance to stand the blow delivered by it.

Yu Dong tapped the hilt of the dagger with her palm before raising her hands and then jumping back up on the tree.

“Black Cat? What are you doing behind the shack?” When the other woman did not see the woman with the machete return, she called out to her. “Are you relieving yourself or what?”

However, when Black Cat did not answer, the woman seemed to have sensed that there was something wrong.

She turned on her feet uneasily and walked behind the shack as well. However, just as she came to a stop behind the shack, Yu Dong caught hold of her neck and with a swipe, she dragged the dagger against her throat as well.

The woman turned into a puddle of gooey flesh just like the first one, her eyes remained open wide till the end as she couldn’t believe that something like this had happened to her.

Or maybe she was just in too much pain.

Yu Dong didn’t care about them and then walked towards the back of the shack, she raised her hand and broke the old lock swiftly with the dagger in her hand.

As the lock broke, Yu Dong pushed open the door.

“Sister?” As soon as she opened the door, a voice tentatively called to her and Yu Dong turned to look at the four children who were lying on the floor.

Yu Mai was covered in dirt but other than that he looked fine. Li Cui and the other three were also right, except they looked like they were treated a bit roughly as their hands were tied tighter than Yu Mai.

“Shh!” Yu Dong raised her hand and then brought her finger to her lips. She looked at the four children before walking over to them and crouching down. “Don’t make a sound, I have dealt with the guards outside but we cannot be sure.”

Yu Mai nodded and pursed his lips in silence. Once he had quietened down, Yu Dong patted him on the head before she started to undo the ropes that were tied around their hands and legs.

“Come up,” she said to the two mers before turning to the two girls. “Can you hang on?”

She couldn’t carry four kids together.

“We can try,” whispered Kong Pili as she and Kong Li climbed up on Yu Dong’s front and back. While Yu Dong held onto Yu Mai and Li Cui, the two sisters hugged her from both sides, their hands curled around Yu Dong’s throat.

Yu Dong grunted as she turned on her feet and then walked out of the shack. She headed straight to the back of the house and then jumped past the wooden fence. Once she was outside, Yu Dong didn’t drop her guard, instead, she rushed past the house and headed straight to the town.

Once they reached the town, she stopped and then pulled down the kids from her body. “Can you four stay here?”

She pointed at the small tea house, she took out three silver taels and said to Kong Pili, “Give these two to the shop owner and tell her that Miss Yu has sent you. She knows me, and will bring you to a private tea room.”

Kong Pili took the money and said to Yu Dong, “Where are you going, Aunt Yu?”

“Don’t worry,” smiled Yu Dong as she patted the little girl on her head. “I will return in an hour or so, if I don’t then you can ask Madam Hea to call for your mother.”

After speaking she turned on her feet and ran away.
