Novel Full Chapter 1447 The aftermath
“Everyone go back to your homes,” Yu Dong waved her hand. She had expected that these people would try to look for Yu Linyun and leave everyone else alone. Who would have expected that the assassins raised by Xian Xieren were just as ruthless as her?
They didn’t look for Yu Linyun who was the cause of the tragedy but decided to burn the entire village. It was only right for them to be exploded into pieces.
The villagers nodded, and though they had received a few injuries, they were not severe.
While the villagers were grateful to Yu Dong and Wu Junfen for protecting them, Old Master Tong was filled with anger. He sobbed all night while covering his heart. His family was gone and no one went to save them, however, the cause of this tragedy was his daughter and he dared not to make a fuss.
He could only cry in his house until his throat was hoarse, however no one cared for him. It was good enough that they hadn’t kicked out Yu Linyun of the village for causing a tragedy like such. Who would bother with the crying old mer?
They all returned home as for the burning village, neither of the three villages cared about it. A self-invited tragedy, what could they do about it?
Old Master Tong cried and cried, however, he didn’t have the energy to cry after he heard that his daughter was burning with fever. He knew that Yu Linyun was scared silly by the things that she had seen in the Black Pot Village and could only turn his attention to take care of his daughter.
Yu Dong also ignored the cries that came from the old Yu house. She had already warned Yu Linyun, to not cause trouble but that woman did not listen.
She returned home with a tired expression, however as soon as she turned around and walked inside the house, she saw big and small white panthers standing inside her house. At first, Yu Dong thought that she had come to the wrong place but when she stepped out of the house and looked at the gates, she blinked her eyes and muttered, “This is my house.”
But why were the white panthers inside her house?
Yu Dong was confused and stepped inside again, she thought that maybe she was hallucinating because she used too much spiritual energy. However, as soon as she stepped inside, she saw the white panthers standing still while looking at her.
“What the….” She blinked her eyes and then her gaze fell on the small white bun that was sitting next to the large panther. Only then did she realize what had happened.
It looks like her children brought a beast home, thinking it was a cat.
Yu Dong: “…” What a poor mother she was!
She looked at the white panther who looked right back at her before, standing up. It prowled over to where Yu Dong was and growled in a low voice as if to not scare the villagers.
Yu Dong looked at the sentient panther and turned to look at the half-empty vat.
‘You sure made yourself comfy,’ she thought as she turned to look at the white panther.
“You want me to keep your child?” She asked and the white panther looked at her before rumbling.
Even though it was a beast, it understood that only by staying with Yu Dong and her family would her child survive. The two of them have escaped from a very faraway land. When they started their journey, the white panther had two more cubs but now they were gone, leaving only one behind.
Yu Dong raised her head and looked at the cub that was grooming itself while looking obedient and then turned to look at the coyotes who were scared silly by seeing a predator bigger than them.
“Very well,” Yu Dong was not scared of this panther as she knew that the kids in her family had an affinity with nature. She nodded and turned to look at Panther, “I will keep this cub of yours.”
The panther growled in response before prowling away, she glanced at the coyotes who looked at her with a wary look in their eyes and snarled.
“Howl!” The coyotes huddled together as they looked at the panther and nodded.
That thing asked them to bring good quality prey to her child, they dared not to ignore her!
Yu Dong looked at the scaredy appearance of the coyotes and her lips twitched. These poor beasts, it seemed like they came to the world just to get bullied.
She turned her attention to the little cub and said to him, “Go inside, if Jin doesn’t see you in the morning, he will make a fuss.”
The white cub mewled before it turned on its feet and padded inside the house. Yu Dong followed it and closed the door behind her, once she was inside the house, she knocked on the wall five times, and the hidden door of the safe house was pushed open.
“What happened? Is everyone alright?” Shen Li was the first to rush outside as he looked at Yu Dong. His eyes moved up and down, when he saw that Yu Dong was fine, he heaved a sigh of relief.
“Everyone is fine. It’s just that the Black Pot Village is burning.”
Chen Ying who returned home earlier to treat her burnt wounds, sighed and nodded, “It’s really miserable. A few women went to look at the village, there are still a few corpses that are burning.”
“Not to mention more than half of the village is burnt! It’s simply hell on earth. Though few survived, their injuries are really severe. We asked around what happened and you know what?”
