Guide to raise my cutie husbands

Chapter 1446 Burning arrows

What was more, she knew that if their village was on fire then the people in the Black Pot village would definitely not call the officials much less help them. Since that was the case why should she trouble herself?

“Hide the food in the warehouse’s safe,” Yu Dong said to the villagers. “If someone comes to the village, the mers and children should be taken to the mountains.”

Until late at night, the villagers did not dare to sleep and stayed awake. The food and the mers along with the children were sent to the safe house. Only the women were left in the village as they patrolled the entire village.

Even if something happened to them, with their children alive their family could continue.

It was so hot, that the women were soon covered in sweat. There was no wind at all and as they patrolled in the village, they all were soaked in sweat.

Soon there were sounds of footsteps that came from all over the place.

“They are coming towards the village!” One of the women took a deep breath and clenched the weapon in her hands.

Upon hearing the scream, the women of the village immediately turned to look at the entrance of the village with determination on their faces. Even if they have to die tonight, they would protect their families.

Everyone picked up their knives, it didn’t matter if it was a kitchen knife or the knife that was used to cut weeds.

Yu Dong also stood in front of the crowd, she did not seem panicked but the mers inside the house were panicking. Even though they were inside the safe house, they could hear what was going on outside. They were really worried about what was going to happen to Yu Dong.

“Stand back.” Yu Dong turned to look at the villagers.

At first, the villagers did not understand what she was trying to say but soon their eyes widened when they realized that multiple fireballs were heading their way!

It was only then did they realised that the people outside had actually decided to set their village on fire as well. If the village was burned would their children survive?

Aunt Wang’s legs started to tremble. She looked at the arrows that were aimed at their village and looked at Yu Dong who stood in front. Now what? What were they supposed to do now?

Yu Dong sighed and then turned to look at Wu Junfen. She said, “It seems like it’s time for us to use our old skills.”

Wu Junfen stepped forward. She looked at the burning arrows and nodded. Before anyone could understand what those two women were talking about, they saw Yu Dong rush forward. She crouched and bent her feet forward as if she were trying to jump up in the air.

At first, the villagers did not understand what was going on, but soon they saw Wu Junfen charge ahead. She stepped on Yu Dong’s shoulder and jumped up. They watched in awe as Wu Junfen swung her sword that she was holding in her hand and the arrows were sent back from where they came from.

Yu Dong swung her hand as well. The villagers didn’t understand what was going on, they only saw Yu Dong turn on her feet as she twisted in a circle. A second later, they felt a gust of wind and the arrows that were aimed at their village extinguished.

“Since they have given us a wonderful gift, it’s only right for us to give them a return gift,” Yu Dong sneered. She took out a small bomb that she had kept in her space and then threw it outside the village, where the assassins were hiding.

They might be skilled enough to hide from the commoners but they certainly could not hide from her. Her spiritual energy could find anyone as long as they were close to nature.

The small bomb was sent flying to the region where the assassins were hiding.

At first, the villagers did not understand why Yu Dong had sent a black pebble flying in the direction of where the assassins were hiding that was until ——

BANG!

The sound of something exploding echoed in the distance. The explosion was so loud that the villagers felt the ground shake under their feet causing them to stumble and fall on their backs.

“What was that?” One of the villagers questioned but then she was immediately silenced by the glares of the villagers. Was this a thing that she needed to ask? This should be kept as a secret of their village. What was she doing asking such a question?

It was better to know nothing, after all, curiosity killed the cat.

The sound of painful screams of the assassins echoed in the surroundings.

In a blink of an eye, the situation was reversed.

Village Head Gu slumped on the ground. She was one of those unlucky people whose arms and back were burned by the arrow that did not get extinguished in time.

Some villagers were covered in blood while some had twisted their feet because they were trying to escape from the burning arrows just now.

They looked at the situation in front of them and didn’t say anything for a long time.

“A…are we safe?” It was after a long time, did someone broke the silence.

Only then did the villagers snap out of their daze and look at Wu Junfen and Yu Dong, they were so awed by what they did just now that most of the villagers’ mouths dropped down.

“Madam Wu… do you know martial arts? Why didn’t you tell us?” One of the villagers asked.

Wu Junfen turned to look at the villager who questioned. She then tilted her head and simply stated, “No one asked me.”

The villagers: “..” No one asked? What a wonderful answer.
