Tesla claimed to have come to an arrangement of cooperation with the god of steam, but Legion doesn’t think that the two of them working together can resist the god of craft and machinery once he decides to make a move personally. So they were not as optimistic as Tesla was in his letters.

Legion-1 shrugged and said, “Who knows? He might actually make it and become a godling. After all, he did so even without our help in the future.”

Legion-4 said, “It doesn’t matter if he succeeds or not. As long as he keeps giving us our money, he can do whatever he wants.”

Legion-9 corrected him by saying, “He won’t keep giving us money if he loses his life.”

So Legion-4 changed his words. “Fine, it doesn’t matter if he succeeds or fails. As long as he continues to live and struggle and gives us our part of the money he earns while struggling, everything will be fine.”

This time, everyone agreed with him. They were all in agreement because their relationship with Tesla is all about the money they will earn from him.
