Chapter 2319: Imprison divine ability.

Once the Imprison divine ability goes into effect, the target will become blind and deaf. They will become a prisoner in their own bodies. All they will see and feel is a darkness around them.

The best part of the Imprison divine ability is that it can work forever. Once it takes effect on a target, it will use the target’s spiritual energy to continue running.

So the slaver doesn’t need to stress themselves after using the divine ability. They can imprison a target for years and wait patiently for them to crack.

Apart from the fact that the Imprison divine ability makes it easy to torture a target and make them submit, it will also make it easy for slavers to kill their enemies.

But if the total sensory deprivation and complete weakness that the Imprison divine ability causes are not persuasive enough, Slavers can use their rank 2 divine ability called Life Siphon on the target or use their rank 5 Whip divine ability to make them Crack faster.

The Life Siphon divine ability will drain the imprisoned target completely. If they still don’t want to surrender and would rather die than submit, the painful Whip divine ability can persuade them.

This combination of divine abilities won’t show their full power now until they try to enslave legends. Legends are very difficult to enslave because of their special state. So slavers have to come up with creative ways to get what they want.

Legion-10 said, “The Mind Domination divine ability can probably achieve the same thing in a shorter amount of time, but I guess you can only use what you have.”

He, Legion-11, and Legion-12 are in charge of the pathway of telepaths. So what he said was him bragging about what they can do. He is bragging that telepaths can directly change the minds of people instead of going to such a great extent to enslave them.

Legion-7 shook his head in disagreement and said, “First of all, Imprison is a rank 6 divine ability, not a legendary divine ability.”

Legion-8 joined in by saying, Secondly, Imprison can work indefinitely without using spiritual energy, so it can be used on many people at once.”

Legion-11 rebutted, “Be that as it may, I don’t see how its ability to run indefinitely is better than the impact of being able to change one’s memory. With the Mind Domination divine ability, one single action can lead to a direct and long-lasting effect in the target.”

They had received a letter from him earlier. Tesla used the letter to tell them some of the difficulties that he has faced and overcome. The most difficult and most persistent ones are the people from the church of crafting.

Tesla’s new business has caused him to clash with many competitors, but there is no enemy that is stronger than the believers of the god of craft. If not for the fact that Tesla himself is a rank 9 godclad and a machinist with a lot of puppets and weapons in hand, he would have surely been defeated.

His greatest enemy is great because the church of crafting is not a single individual. The church of crafting, which is also referred to as the church of machinery, also has their rank 9 godclads. To top things off, his enemies are zealots who are not scared of losing their lives.

Despite his great power, the second main reason why Tesla could resist both his competitors and the zealots from the church of crafting is because they are not fighting directly. The battle is not about blades and fists. And the battlefield is business, not bloodshed.

Tesla is trying to create a dynamic shift in technology in order to carve out a position of power for himself in the pathway of machinery. He has to do this because there is already a god in his pathway.

For most people, replacing their god is the only way forward after rank 9. But Tesla is talented and has an innate ability that is highly compatible with his pathway.

Even so, he still has to create his own influence in the pathway before he can become a godling. That influence is being created through the advancement and widespread adoption of the alternating current technology.

The great thing about this requirement is that he doesn’t need to fight anyone directly to achieve it. He just needs to make the technology affordable and popular. When a lot of people buy his products and pivot from the use of older technology, he will have met the requirement to advance.

He can achieve this whole being in hiding and controlling puppets. As long as his enemies can’t kill him, they won’t be able to stop him. The best they can do is foil his attempts again and again. But he can always keep trying.

These two reasons can be considered as the main reasons why Tesla is able to resist and fight. But they are not the reasons why Tesla is doing well.

The main reasons why Tesla is not only drawing with his enemies but also coming out victorious are because his strongest enemies are preoccupied and because the God of Craft is also preoccupied.

Tesla is not the only rank 9 godclad in the pathway of machinery that has ideas about godhood. There are other rank 9 godclads, and there is even the god of steam, all trying to take away the power of the god of crafts.

All of these interlopers and usurpers have drawn the attention of the Church of Crafts, which has caused the Church of Crafts to be spread thin. They can’t focus on one person, especially since that person is hiding himself deeply.

Without these sources of distraction to the church of craft and machinery, Tesla might have been able to make attempts to subvert the mainstream technology, but he would never have succeeded by so much.
