Chapter 1970: One Spell Against Six Magic Lords

Dangerous Land

In the control room, I’m watching the black fog along with the zero puppet. My gaze condensed. The black fog was not ordinary.

There is already a problem with the chaotic environment. Now there is a suspicious black fog. If one gets affected, they won’t be able to heal.

No wonder it’s called the dead land. I don’t know what the other groups are doing. Especially the group traveling in a truck.

If they are an experienced group, then they must have a way to deal with the problem. The next second, I used the system to probe.

We then started our journey again. The black fog was nowhere to be seen. But the terrain was filled with uneven, protruding rocks.

The rocks are sharp. They are larger and taller than human height. We continued to travel. It didn’t take long for us to come across skeletons.

The skeletons belonged to monsters and humans. But they were old. There were no collectible things.

An hour later,

The complex terrain comes to an end. We stepped inside the dry land. We could see dry, old trees ahead.

Vigilance rose in my heart all of a sudden. Though the terrain has changed, the mana in the environment remained the same.

I decided to be careful. As I’m moving forward, the red smoke follows me from behind.

[Ding! A group of Magic Lords detected.]

[Ding! One of them is using a magic spell to locate you.]

Hearing that, my heart stirred. I told the zero puppet about the Magic Lords.

"Master, I found some signs as well," the puppet replied.

"Okay, you hide from behind and do a sneak attack," I told the puppet.

The red smoke left the place. It’s following me from a distance. I wore a mask on my face. Then I continued the journey.

It didn’t take long for me to find six Magic Lords. They were standing and looking at me, as if they were waiting for me.

My gaze swept across them and saw that one of them had his hand on a dry wood tree. He is using some kind of magic spell. The hand is not a human hand, but a root.

He was the one the system reminded me about. What’s more, all six of them are different. Each one had body parts missing.

They were replaced by the organs of monsters. They reminded me of transmutation wizards.

"He... He... He..."

"See, I told you. We got a fat sheep today," the wizard with the root hand said with a sinister laugh.

All of them are old. It’s because of the transmutation that they have a younger appearance.

"Brother, you are right. So we agree to let you take the shot," a burly man said.

Both of his hands were transmuted. Now he has eagle-like claw hands.

The others expressed the same thing. Each of them had a turn before. Now it’s their brother’s turn.

Boom!

The next second, a tree root shot toward me. It came so fast that I was surprised. But I reacted and cast a magic spell.

"Gravity Field"

It’s an 8th-stage magic spell. It’s been some time since I used this magic spell.

Boom!

Before the root could touch my body, the gravitational force appeared. The pressure applied within the range.

The root was shattered instantly. The smile on the face of the wizard who cast the magic spell froze. He felt a terrific pressure on his body.

Not only him, but the other five Magic Lords suffered as well. This spell contained rule power. The rule power was one step away from the Magic Lord level.

But because of the 8-times stacking, the power of the magic attack increased.

"Argh!"

The Magic Lords tried to use their magic spells. But all of them are physique-type wizards who later adapted the transmutation power.

Apart from the wizard who could use the tree root, the rest of them had physique and sense-related magic.

They can’t attack a person at long range. But still, they are trying to hold on with their Magic Lord-level physique.

On the other hand, the red smoke didn’t intervene. The puppet is watching from the shadows. The Master has taken action.

It’s going to prevent anyone else from coming here. The puppet knows there are other wizard groups in the dangerous land.

Everyone’s destination was the same. It’s the Opal Magic Forest.

Time passed,

The power of the magic spell increased over time. Their bodies began to break. Bones are cracking, and their internal organs are hurting. They are bleeding from their orifices.

All six of them saw the masked man in horror. Everyone’s heart filled with regret. They should have known better when they couldn’t see through the strength of the masked man.

Arrogance made them blind. Now they are suffering. They tried to open their mouths but couldn’t. They couldn’t even lift a finger.

The power of the gravitational force was so strong that the ground surface had gone a few inches deeper.

I continued to analyze the power of the magic spell against the Magic Lords. With this information, I can analyze the power of other magic spells.

If I had used the "Gravity Domain" magic spell, then their deaths would have been faster. But I wanted their storage bracelets.

The Gravity Domain would have erased the materials as well.

The Magic Lord with the tree root hand suffered mana core damage. The mana core couldn’t withstand the pressure.
