Chapter 1473: Sandgate Border town

From MC’s Perspective:

Elder Dana takes Vincent Carey with him and disappears from the spot. The spies, media reporters and the other people near the Silver Tower had no clue.

Charlotte and Lara saw both of them gone from the place. Charlotte sighs inwardly. She didn’t know when she would reach this level of magic.

If she tries to use the space for travel, then it would alarm the other forbidden wizards in the city. But Elder Dana had left without alerting anyone. Her application of the magic amazed both of them.

Beside her, Manager Lara was in absolute shock. She is a Magic Lord. She doesn’t know whether she would be able to reach the level of an Elder.

Because the Forbidden Wizard level was too far away from her. So becoming an Elder is even more difficult.

Charlotte then thought of something before saying, “Okay, I’m leaving. But continue to monitor the actions of the Supreme Wizard Filip.”

“He is not afraid of acting against Vincent Carey inside the Silver Tower. So if he does some other things. We have to catch him red-handed. Then it will become easy for us to convince the elders,” She added.

“Don’t worry, Lord. I’ll pay attention to this matter,” Lara repeated.

Charlotte then left the Silver Tower. Lara then resumed her work in the office.

Time passed,

Elder Dana brought Vincent Carey outside the Magic City within a few minutes. A black hole appears in front of them again.

Dana steps out with Vincent Carey. They landed on the ground.

“We are outside of the Magic City,” Dana said.

Hearing that my heart set off storms again. I only felt as if I had walked for a couple of hundred metres. But we were here outside the Magic City.

“Don’t be surprised. Once you reach our level, you can do it with ease,” Dana said with a smile.

I’m trying to calm my heart again. But I don’t know when I will reach her level.

Dana smiled and said, “I know you had been to the Forbidden Area. Charlotte hid you there from Wind Elemental Tower’s Wizards.”

“But outside the Forbidden Area, the place is less dangerous. You can explore the places without revealing your identity.”

“There are no White and Black Wizards in this Territory. The Fate Wizard, whom I want you to meet, was neutral. People from various backgrounds come to meet him.”

“He lives inside the city called “Willow Peak”; your job is to go to that city to meet the Fate Wizard. You will know what to do when you arrive at that place,” Dana said in a calm tone.

Hearing that, I memorised the name of the city. But it sounds like an ordinary city name.

“Alright, you can travel to the city from here. If you go straight from here, you will reach the border town. From there you can collect further details,” She said.

“Elder, why don’t you drop me at the city directly,” I asked.

“As I said before, the Fate Wizard doesn’t like Mage Union. He has a strange character as well. I want you to follow the methods of other wizards who wanted to seek help from the Fate Wizard,” Dana said.

Hearing that, I realised it’s useless to ask for help from her.

“After completing the mission, come here. Then tear this inscription paper. I’ll know your return then,” she said, giving Vincent an inscription paper.

I collected the inscription paper into the storage bracelet. Before I could raise my head to see her. She was gone from the place.

I let out a sigh and turned towards a straight direction. She told me to go straight. But there was no path here.

Then I took the full face mask out and wore it on my face. Then I used the flight ability and started moving in midair towards the border town.

After noon, I finally saw a border town, and the path led to that. I changed my direction towards the path. Once I arrived there. I landed on the dusty sand path.

I appeared outside and started observing the place.

I don’t understand why there is no road here? This place is not far away from one of the border towns of the magic city.

Yet this land is undeveloped. I guess things are not that simple. There must be some history behind it.

The border town is still several hundred metres away from my current location. So I started walking along the path.

At the same time, I’m looking for other wizards. Surprisingly, I saw no one walking on the sandy path. It’s extremely surprising.

As time passed, I got closer to the border town. Upon getting closer, I saw a huge iron gate acting as an entrance to the border town.

Soon, I arrived in front of the iron gate. I’m looking here and there to find someone. But there was no one standing guard outside.

“Hello!”

“Anyone up there. I want to enter the town,” I shouted in a loud voice.

In a flash, a couple of men appeared outside carrying a shooting gun.

The result came out as a surprise. Because the wizard levels of these people are low. The highest one is a level-8 Wizard. Which was mind-boggling.

At the same time, the guards surrounded the stranger. A middle-aged man with a scarred face. He is the City Manager of this border town, a level-8 Elemental Wizard.

“Who are you?”

“I’m the city manager of Sandgate town here. My name is Gustav,” The middle-aged man introduced himself.

Hearing that, I said, “I’m a traveller. I need to go somewhere.”

Gustav sneered. He didn’t buy it. But he doesn’t want to offend big figures. Because the wizards who mostly hide their identity were from a big background.

Since the person is unwilling to tell. He can’t force him.

“Okay. Let him in,” After saying that, City Manager Gustav turned around to enter.

The City Guards were disappointed. They thought they caught a big fish today. But the City Manager’s cautious attitude spoiled everything.

I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. Because I realised that they were looking for a target to plunder. It’s just that the City Manager’s experience saved everyone’s life.

Then I saw everyone glaring at me before entering the town. But what caught my attention was not their expression, but the weapons.

I hadn’t seen any sort of tech weapons inside the Magic City. But here the border town guards have such equipment.

My lack of worldly knowledge is hurting my brain. Then I collected my thoughts before walking into the town. As I entered the inside, the huge gate behind me was closed.

Then I turned ahead and saw arch-type buildings everywhere. There is no sign of a modern architectural building. Even worse, the arch-type buildings have the same paintings.

If I stay here and continue to explore the city, then I could hurt my brain. I needed to find the store first. After gaining some clarity, I started looking for the stores.

City Manager Gustav didn’t leave. Instead, he watches the newcomer looking at the buildings before leaving.

“Take a few people and follow him. Try to collect information. If he has a background, then retreat. But if he doesn’t, then report to me,” After saying that, Gustav left.

The City Guards discussed among themselves. Finally, four people started following the stranger. The four people have the strength of level 7.

For others, their movements appear to be regular patrolling. But they were actually following the stranger.
