Chapter 1474: Super relic in the border town!

Sandgate Border town,
I arrived at the store and saw that it had a small crowd. I walked into the place. My gaze fell on everyone. I asked the system to probe their strength.
They were all between Level-6 and Level-7 Wizard levels. I sighed inwardly. Since there was no threat. I put my heart at ease.
Then I came to one of the staff and asked about the map. The staff member was a middle-aged man. He was surprised by hearing that.
He realises that the masked customer was not local. He then goes to bring the map. They don’t have a digital map. Because this Territory is for everyone.
They don’t want anyone to track and keep records of their movements.
Meanwhile,
The four patrol guards have come outside. They spoke to each other before one of them walked into the store.
His eyes wandered around before his gaze fell on the newcomer. The customers weren’t surprised. They thought the patrol guard had come to buy something.
Instead, he continues to stare at the newcomer.

The system voice sounded in my mind. Hearing that I was stunned. I didn’t expect them to follow me. My mouth curves into an arc.
I think they were trying to probe my background. If I don’t have a background, then they would attack me for sure.
So I stopped thinking about it. Not long after the staff came with the scroll.
“It’s a newly drawn map,” said the middle-aged man, placing the map on the desk.
Hearing that I unfolded the map and saw the territory. Then I started to look for the city named “Willow Peak.”
Soon, I spotted the city. It’s located in a straight line from this border town. No wonder, Elder Dana wanted me to travel from this border town.
On the other hand, the Patrol guard saw that the newcomer was trying to find the location on the path. He then sees the middle-aged man who is a member of the staff.
The staff saw the patrol guard as well. He was terrified. But the Patrol guard signalled him to keep an eye on the newcomer.
The middle-aged staff understood the assignment. He then shifted his gaze to the customer. He is wondering which place the customer is looking at.
On the other hand, my eyes wander around the cities drawn on the map. I saw the nearby cities as well. They have the path that leads to the “Willow Peak” city.
I have decided to visit a few more stores to buy a map. Then compare them with each other.
Because the map shows that there are 10 cities between the Sandgate Border town and the Willow Peak City.
“How much is it?” I asked the staff.
The staff said the price. It was 20 mid-grade mana stones.
Hearing that I paid the price and collected the map into my storage bracelet. Then I walked out of the shop.
Since I knew there were 10 cities located between Willow Peak City and the Sandgate Border Town. I can’t afford to waste time.
I started walking away from the place.

The patrol guard didn’t leave. He went to the staff and asked for a little information. The middle-aged staff failed to notice anything.
Because the customer didn’t even speak about his destination. The patrol guard was disappointed. He leaves the store room and meets the other three patrol guards.
He then explained to them. The City Manager has asked them to keep a watch on the newcomer. So they can’t lose their sight.
Four of them continued with their stalking. They don’t have any idea that they were exposed.
As time passed, the patrol guards found out that the stranger was going towards the exit. They realised that the stranger wanted to leave the border town.
Because they knew that the stranger had bought a map earlier. Then they stopped and reported to the City Manager Gustav.
The City Manager was pissed off. He didn’t expect the stranger to leave. His eyes flash with greed. He couldn’t see through the stalker.
But he knows that rich people won’t travel alone. Even the most powerful wizards travel with two or three people with them
Strangely, he found out that the stranger was walking on foot. It’s even more puzzling. It’s allowed to use vehicles here. But the person is going on foot.
Gustav thinks that either the person is an idiot or he is carrying some secrets. He then told the patrol guards to continue with stalking.
There is a forest outside the border town. It’s a good place to confront strangers. He had done many things in those forests, including the looting and killings.
He then ended the call. The patrol guards continued to follow the stranger.
On the other hand, I knew the patrol guards were following me from behind. But I ignored them and continued walking towards the exit.
There are shops on both sides of the street. They were all open. People were coming and going out of the shops.
While walking, I’m observing the shops and people as well. There is a series of shops ahead. This one is one long road.

I asked the system to confirm the place. The system once again tells that the Super relic is inside the government building.
Then I started to look around. This place is where people go about their business. I turned around and started going towards the entrance.
On the other hand, the four patrol guards were shocked. They didn’t expect the stranger to come to their City office. It’s where their City Manager stays.
They didn’t inform the City manager. Because the stranger himself is going towards their building.
I walked around before coming to the entrance. Wizards are entering the place. But when my gaze fell on the signboard.
My eyes gleamed with a twinkle. I didn’t expect it to be a City office. I don’t know why the Border Town has a City office.
Then I followed the people to go inside the city office. But the patients are checking people’s identities.
Seeing that I knew I couldn’t go inside the place during the day.
After looking at the city office, I left the place. Soon, I found the inn close to the city office. Then I booked a room for a single day.
About 20 minutes later,
It didn’t take long for me to get settled inside the room. I’m wearing comfortable clothes and lying in bed. With a thought, I summoned the status panel.
