"Leon, you..." Before the young cultivator could finish, Leon lunged forward like a phantom, closing the distance at jaw-dropping speed.

"The truth, I will find it myself, I do not need high-and-mighty hypocrites like you to pass judgment on me," Leon’s voice was as chilling as frost, he clenched his fists tight, cloaked in crimson radiance, the total release of the fury and power long suppressed in the depths of his soul.

The young cultivator’s expression changed drastically, never in his wildest dreams had he imagined Leon could unleash such horrifying strength in an instant.

He hurriedly swung his blade to parry, sword light surged like a dragon, clashing against Leon’s fist with a deafening roar.

Yet Leon’s power was no longer what it once was, every blow carried destructive might, as though intent on pulverizing anyone who stood in his path, though the young cultivator’s sword arts were exquisite, against Leon’s berserk fury, they were utterly pale and impotent.

Bang! With a thunderous crash, the young cultivator was hurled backward by a single fist, slamming heavily against the wall and spitting blood, his eyes filled with sheer disbelief, he had never imagined an immortal sect disciple like himself would fall to a mere mortal.

Leon gave him no respite, his silhouette flickered once more, closing in like a dry leaf caught in a ferocious gale.

The young cultivator struggled to rise, he could only watch helplessly as Leon’s fist bore down, scrambling desperately aside, he roared, "I am a disciple of the Spirit Profound Sect, if you kill me, you will face retribution."

Yet Leon paid no heed, he drove his fists onward.

"You... how dare you..." the young cultivator choked out, eyes brimming with fear and indignation, he had never thought he would die at mortal hands.

Leon offered no answer, not a single trace of emotion crossed his face, only those blood-red eyes betrayed his unyielding resolve and madness, he bounded into the air, driving his fist downward, the whistling wind igniting sonic booms that barreled toward the young cultivator.

The cultivator marshaled every ounce of strength to hoist his longsword, blade light flashing to deflect the fatal strike.

Yet Leon’s power was far beyond imagination, that fist crashed like an unstoppable mountain flood, shattering the sword into fragments and slamming directly into his chest.

The young cultivator’s body jerked as though struck by a siege engine, he flew back, smashed into the stone wall, and slid to the floor, blood trickled from his mouth, his eyes remained wide open, frozen in disbelief and despair.

He had only wanted to help, he had only wanted to clear this boy’s name, why did he have to die here? He could not fathom it, and would never have the chance to understand.

Leon stood panting, a sliver of clarity briefly touched his gaze, only to be swallowed by even deeper rage, he glanced around, no one remained, everyone had fled.

He set out toward the village, leaving a bloody footprint with every single step.

Upon returning, he knocked on the door of a family of three, they were sitting warmly around their dinner table, enjoying a harmonious meal, shocked to see Leon, all three quickly sneered in revulsion.

"How did an animal like you get back here? Get lost."

The man rose to shove Leon away, yet in the next instant, a hand ripped straight through his chest, the man’s eyes bulged in shock, blood dribbled down his chin.

"Ahhh!" The horrified shrieks of the mother and daughter tore through the house, but in the very next instant, both their heads severed from their necks.

Leon stepped out, he was going to end everything, he was going to make those people taste his agony.

The villagers stared in shock and terror at this former sinner returning in such a terrifying guise, Leon did not halt his stride, a solitary thought possessed his mind: to force everyone who had ever harmed or misunderstood him to feel the anguish he had suffered.

On what basis did they get to be so happy? They had homes, they had families, they could eat together in peace, never worrying about survival, never living in fear of being bullied, by what right?

"You all... deserve to pay the price," Leon’s voice was low and gravelly, every syllable a curse dredged from the pit of his soul.

His gaze swept over every face that had ever turned on him with contempt, under his crimson stare, those faces drained of color one by one.

Without warning, Leon acted, his movements were swift and lethal, every strike true against those who had once trampled him, the villagers scattered in panic, but in this confined village, where could they possibly run?

Yet amidst this blood-drenched vengeance, Leon felt not the slightest satisfaction, on the contrary, his heart felt hollow and bewildered, he realized that slaughtering everyone who wronged him could never erase the agonizing scars branded into his being.

"Why... did it turn out like this?" Leon muttered, voice laden with helplessness and sorrow, he felt as if wandering lost in an endless abyss, unable to find an exit.

Right then, a tender voice whispered beside his ear, "Leon, it is alright, follow your heart, it is not your fault, they were always meant to die."

It was the woman in the white dress, already standing beside him, gazing upon him with gentle warmth.

It’s fine, they all deserved to die, it’s not your fault, every single one of them bullied you, now that you have the strength, you are just getting them back, you are not wrong, this is exactly what you should do.

Leon pulled his hand out of a little girl’s chest, looking at her tender face, he continuously comforted himself in his heart.

Watching this cruel scene from mid-air, Adam furrowed his brows tightly, the villagers had indeed treated Leon unjustly, but their crimes did not warrant death, furthermore, he could clearly sense that Leon’s heart had been overtaken by evil, spawning evil qi that was extremely dense.

"How is it? Is this play entertaining?" Suddenly, the infant’s voice rang out.

Adam slowly turned his head, he knew who it was, he spoke indifferently, "So, what are you trying to say? Trying to show me that the humans of this world are inherently evil at their core?"

"Exactly, don’t you think so?" The white-skinned, black-pupiled infant said with a smile.

"Humans are exactly this kind of creature, the evil desires in their hearts are endless and inexhaustible."
