Even though this decision was full of unknowns and incredibly difficult, over the long years, other villages had surely tried the same, but there had never been news of success, they had undoubtedly all failed.

The method she proposed might still not save everyone, that was why she was going to stay behind to stall the Heavenly Court’s forces, even if she could not stall them long, she was willing to try, to fight for the village’s future and those innocent lives.

She took a deep breath and began packing, she needed to maximize her combat power while setting up traps and formations, she had some understanding in this area and should be able to hold off the executioners a little longer.

Adam narrowed his eyes from the corner of the room, seeing that Lyra was not packing to flee but preparing to fight back, a look of admiration appeared in his eyes.

However, the traps and formations she was preparing were far too low level, he could help.

He took out a secret formation manual from his storage bag and tossed it onto the table in front of her.

"Who’s there? Who are you?" Lyra was startled and instantly went on high alert.

"Don’t be afraid, we’re on the same side, I will help you stall the Heavenly Court, but I won’t reveal myself for now." Adam spoke cautiously.

Lyra frowned, but perhaps because she was already prepared to die, she did not panic excessively. "Senior wants to help me?"

She picked up the formation manual, flipped through it, and her eyes suddenly lit up, the formations inside were all of a much higher grade than what she knew.

"That’s right, I also have a grudge against the Heavenly Court, I hope you can hold on a bit longer, furthermore, I have a secret to tell you."

Adam then told her everything he had witnessed in the cave.

After hearing this, Lyra’s face turned deathly pale, she asked with a trembling voice, "Senior... is everything you said true? Is that man really a hunting dog of the Heavenly Court?"

Adam nodded. "Yes, I saw with my own eyes how he crossed out your village’s name, he had recorded other destroyed villages as well, and he called all of you naive idiots."

Lyra covered her mouth as tears welled up and spilled over, she choked out, "We... we were kept in the dark this whole time, we thought they were here to save us, I never imagined they were the true executioners."

Her tears fell silently, anger and despair intertwining in her heart, she had once placed her hope in that man, believing he was their savior, she never expected him to be a cold-blooded executioner.

Adam’s voice carried a trace of coldness. "That man’s conspiracy goes far beyond this, they exploit your trust, pushing you step by step into the abyss, but now is not the time for tears, we need to act, expose their true faces, and stop their scheme."

Lyra took a deep breath and wiped her tears, a firm light appeared in her eyes, she had to pull herself together, for the village’s future, for those innocent lives.

"Senior, I will set up formations according to the manual, but alone, I’m afraid I can’t hold off the Heavenly Court’s experts for long." Her voice trembled slightly, she knew she was being selfish, but she wanted Adam to show himself and help.

Adam nodded, he knew what Lyra was thinking, and he did not mind, since he had spoken up, he fully intended to lend a hand.

"Just go ahead, I will help from the shadows, remember, you are not fighting alone."

Lyra nodded in gratitude, even without showing himself, he was going to help her.

She focused entirely on studying the array manual, she carried a heavy responsibility and could not slack off, time was pressing.

With Adam’s secret assistance, she successfully laid down several high-level traps and formations capable of unleashing immense power at critical moments, stalling the Heavenly Court’s advance.

Under his covert guidance, Lyra’s traps and formations grew increasingly exquisite, although the villagers grew fewer, soon leaving her as the only one remaining, she continued working day and night, though utterly exhausted, her conviction only grew firmer.

No matter what, she had to make the Heavenly Court pay the price.

Through her hard work, the village’s defenses gradually took shape, traps, formations, obstacles, every element was meticulously placed for maximum effectiveness.

But there was one incredibly important point. Camouflage.

The Heavenly Court’s people were all experts, if they noticed something off about the aura, they would not waltz in foolishly, the village had to appear still populated, only then would the hunting dogs step inside, furthermore, they had to deceive the Heavenly Court’s detection methods, if they sensed formation aura, they would not enter.

Lyra fell into deep thought, she knew that fooling such experts was no easy feat, disguising formation aura required incredibly profound techniques and strength, her abilities fell far short, leaving her anxious and defeated.

She gripped the manual tightly, as if trying to draw strength from it, yet she could not break through her predicament.

Just as she was on the verge of giving up, Adam’s voice echoed in her ear. "Don’t worry, I will help you, I’m a professional at this."

Lyra looked up, eyes shining with hope. "Senior, really? You can really help me?"

Adam nodded, he already had a plan, although acting directly was not convenient, he could guide Lyra from the shadows, letting her use her own wit and skills.

"I will teach you a special camouflage technique, it will make your village look still inhabited while masking the aura of the formations."

Lyra was instantly thrilled, she knew this was her only chance, she focused all her attention on Adam’s explanation.

Under Adam’s meticulous guidance, Lyra began applying the camouflage technique, she carefully adjusted the layout and aura of the village, striving to make everything look natural and authentic.
