After several days of hard work, the village took on a completely new look, although it was entirely empty, it gave off a vibrant, lively feeling, moreover, the aura of the formations had been perfectly concealed, even the Heavenly Court’s experts would find it difficult to detect anything.

Looking at her masterpiece, Lyra’s heart was filled with accomplishment, she knew none of this would have been possible without Adam’s help and guidance, she was deeply grateful, even though she still did not know what he looked like or had ever seen him.

"Senior, thank you." Lyra said softly.

Although Adam did not reply, she knew he must be watching over her from the shadows.

Now, Lyra only needed to wait for the Heavenly Court to walk into the trap, she stood quiet guard in the deserted village, ready to face the impending crisis, even though tension and unease filled her heart, she knew she had to endure.

During these past few days, aside from teaching Lyra how to set up formations, Adam had also been laying out his own plans.

This was his first encounter with the Heavenly Court of this world, he had to be prudent and figure out their exact strength and background here, only then could he proceed with the next phase.

Recklessly attempting a teleportation formation could simply alert the Heavenly Court if they had reinforced the world barrier.

If their forces proved too strong and broke through the village formations, an even larger formation would be waiting outside, upon detonation, the explosive force would tear through space, and at that exact moment, Adam would probe for a spatial teleportation route.

If there was a barrier, he would have to look for another exit.

If there was not, things would be much simpler, he could scavenge for spirit stones, set up the formation, and teleport out.

Two days later.

The wind surged and the clouds churned, the cloud layer on the horizon rolled with a violent aura, as if heralding an impending storm.

The people from the Heavenly Court had finally appeared.

Lyra stood in a concealed spot within the village, her gaze fixed on the auras approaching from the horizon, that aura was powerful and arrogant, not hiding its presence in the slightest, it was the same as the one encountered in the Land of Life.

These operatives seemed to view humanity as mere ants, utterly beneath their notice.

Her heartbeat quickened, and her grip on her spiritual artifact tightened, although she had long been prepared, facing the Heavenly Court’s experts still made her feel somewhat powerless.

"Don’t be nervous, proceed according to the plan." Adam’s voice echoed in her ear, steady and resolute.

Lyra took a deep breath, trying to calm herself, she could not panic, after working so hard for so long, she could not fall short at the final hurdle.

Soon, the Heavenly Court operatives appeared at the village entrance, they strode in brazenly, completely oblivious to the hidden dangers within.

"Oho, playing hide and seek? I love it when they do this!" The leading man was clad in silver armor inlaid with a lightning motif, it flashed brightly, as if containing endless heavenly might.

A disdainful and wicked smile was plastered across his face, looking as though he were already eyeing his prey.

Lyra hid in the shadows, quietly observing, every one of them wore expressions of disdain, as if everything here was completely under their control.

Little did they know, they had already stepped into the trap she had meticulously laid.

The moment they entered, Lyra activated the formations.

Instantly, the five Heavenly Court operatives were thrown into chaos, traps, formations, and obstacles triggered one after another, catching them completely off guard, they began to panic and scatter, but no matter how they tried, they could not break free from the formation’s bindings.

"Since we can’t get out, let’s break through by force!"

The leading expert roared in anger, lightning crackled across his body, and a terrifying sphere of electricity materialized in his hand, he hurled it at the barrier in the sky above the village.

The barrier trembled violently, the point of impact shuddering like ocean waves, but in the end, it held strong.

"Damn it! Everyone, blast it!" The lightning-wielding man bellowed.

Not only were they trapped, they were also being made fools of. In every room of the village, they clearly sensed human auras, but upon entering found absolutely nothing.

They were not afraid of the villagers escaping, they possessed secret tracking techniques, even if the villagers fled to the ends of the earth, they would still be hunted down, and that made the hunt even more entertaining.

But right now, they were the ones looking ridiculous, how did these mortals get their hands on such high-level formations?

Watching their disheveled state, satisfaction surged through Lyra’s heart, for the longest time, the Human race had been oppressed by the Heavenly Court, living a stifling existence, seeing them toyed with like this, although she knew it was only possible thanks to Adam’s help, satisfaction was satisfaction, it did not need reasons.

However, she did not let her guard down, she knew the true crisis had yet to arrive, even trapped, their strength remained formidable, simply trapping them would ultimately yield nothing.

No matter how powerful a formation was, its energy would eventually be depleted.

"It’s time, detonate the formation." Adam’s voice echoed in her ear.

Lyra took a deep breath, knowing the most critical moment had arrived, she immediately activated the detonation device in the village’s core area.

Instantly, a massive surge of energy erupted within the village, under the impact, the Heavenly Court experts cried out in agony one after another, despite their formidable strength, such a ferocious explosion was difficult to endure.

The massive energy wave engulfed the five operatives.

Watching this scene, heroic pride swelled in Lyra’s heart, finally, humanity had taken a massive step forward on the path of resisting the Heavenly Court, even if she had to die right now, she had no regrets.

However, Adam’s voice interrupted her joy. "Don’t celebrate too early, these guys aren’t dead yet."

Lyra’s heart tightened.

She waited nervously for the energy wave to dissipate, looking at the five Heavenly Court operatives, she found that although their clothes were in tatters and their bodies covered in wounds of varying sizes, they were still alive and even retained their combat capability.

The formation had failed.

Still, being able to cause this much trouble for the people of the Heavenly Court was enough to leave her satisfied.
