Li Ziyu watched, wide-eyed, as the man roared like a madman for what felt like an eternity. The Void Beetles, however, still showed no intention of advancing. The man tightened his grip on his axe and actually charged back at the beetles. And the Void Beetles—the stuff of nightmares for the Tribes of the Void Land—actually flinched. They were backing away, showing faint signs of wanting to flee.

Just as the man charged back toward the beetles, the ones behind him sprang into action. Streaks of light shot toward his back.

’Damn it, a sneak attack!’

’Watch out!’

Li Ziyu couldn’t help but cry out. Only after the sound escaped his lips did he remember the man couldn’t hear him. He clenched his fists, his palms sweating for the warrior.

The man, however, seemed to have anticipated the sneak attack. As if he had eyes in the back of his head, he twisted his body, dodging while continuing his fierce charge forward, swinging his axe in a flurry of diagonal slashes and vertical chops.

’Holy shit, what a beast! A pure, reckless warrior. Now *that’s* a real man!’

Li Ziyu was stunned.

’No, I can’t let a Fierce Warrior like that die at the hands of the Void Beetles. I have to help him.’

With this thought in mind, Li Ziyu immediately gave the order: advance and rescue the Human in front!

As the Undead Fortress accelerated, the Evil Spirit Wanderers had already moved out. Pushing their Speed to the absolute limit, their motorcycles roared to life, carving straight lines across the prairie. They converged on the Void Beetles from all directions, the booming of Shooter-2 models echoing endlessly.

At the same time, Soul Warhorses carrying Skeleton Knights leaped down from the Undead Fortress. The Soul Warhorses tossed their heads, flames igniting beneath their hooves as they thundered forward—THUD THUD THUD. The terrifying pressure of the Skeleton Knights radiated outwards, causing the surrounding half-man-high grass to bow low.

The man, who had been reveling in the slaughter, froze at the sound of the roaring. His axe paused mid-swing. He looked around in confusion, only to see Skeletons on bizarre mounts speeding out from the tall grass. They raised "pipes" in their hands and aimed them at the Void Beetles. Flames shot out from the pipes, and some small pellets struck the Void Beetles.

’Moving Skeletons?’

’Undead?’

’Are these Undead helping me?’

The man watched the Void Beetles fall into disarray from the surprise attack. He scratched his head, and a strange smile crept across his face. Ignoring the Undead that had charged out, he gripped his axe with both hands and lunged at the Void Beetles once more.

’Come, come now, little bugs, don’t run! Let me get a swing at you!’

He could already tell that while these Skeletons were helping him, their effect was limited. They were only a nuisance. The attacks from their pipes seemed to do little to the Void Beetles, which either easily defended against them or were simply unbreachable.

’They look cool, but they’re useless. My axe is still the best tool for the job.’

He didn’t know why the Undead were helping him, but since they were on his side, that made them friends. With that, the man stopped paying attention to the Evil Spirit Wanderers and threw himself back into the fight.

But what the man hadn’t expected was that the Evil Spirit Wanderers were just the vanguard. Soon, he saw Skeleton Knights on Soul Warhorses appear, holding Knight’s Lances and charging fearlessly toward the Void Beetles.

’There’s Cavalry, too?’

The man’s eyes widened. He saw the Skeleton Knights form up, flames swirling around them as they charged from the distance with immense momentum. One by one, their Knight’s Lances thrust toward the Void Beetles.

BANG BANG BANG... CLANG CLANG CLANG...

A series of chaotic sounds erupted as the Knight’s Lances collided with the Void Beetles. Using the momentum of their Charge, the Skeleton Knights forcibly tore through the Void Beetles’ encirclement, whistling past the man. He could even feel the heat of their flames.

’Er... how should I put it? That fire is a bit weird. You’d call it cold, but there’s a scorching heat to it. You’d call it scorching, but there’s also a frosty sensation.’

’A dual sensation of ice and fire?’

The Knights rode past the man. He looked at the Void Beetles and saw that... well, it seemed like they hadn’t taken much damage.

Admittedly, the attacks from these Undead Knights were much stronger than those from the pipe-wielding ones. They looked ferocious, but the damage they dealt to the Void Beetles was underwhelming.

The Skeleton Knights broke through the Void Beetles’ defenses but lacked the Power to kill them. After all, the Skeleton Knights didn’t know the Void Beetles’ weak spots; they were relying purely on their own Power for a brute force attack. The results were... mediocre at best.

The man shook his head. ’All that sound and fury, but it’s all for show. How boring. These big bugs in front of me are much more interesting!’

He looked at the Void Beetles, now agitated by the two waves of Cavalry, and an excited expression once again appeared on his face. He hefted his axe.

He had just finished chopping down two more Void Beetles when he felt the ground begin to tremble. The Void Beetles that had been warily watching him all turned to look behind them.

"What the hell?" The man’s face finally showed a look of shock and uncertainty as he stared at the massive black shadow rapidly approaching in the distance.

As the black shadow drew closer, the man finally saw it clearly. It was a massive city!

’A city?’

’A moving city... heading right for me?!’

’Cities can move? Well, I’ll be damned! I’ve seen it all now!’

The man’s mouth fell slightly agape, his eyes filled with a sense of absurdity and disbelief.

But an even greater shock was in store for him. As the city neared, countless black shadows suddenly dropped from within it. They fell as thick and fast as dumplings being dropped into a pot. Then, he saw an endless tide of Undead surging from the grass, making a beeline for the Void Beetles.

’So many... Undead?!’

The ordinary Skeleton Undead were cannon fodder, sent to be slaughtered by the Void Beetles. The real trump card were the Black Knights in Heavy Armor, hidden among the Skeleton Undead horde.
