Chapter 1003 - 306: Green-skinned Demon (3)
The Green-skinned Demon actually showed Terror in its eyes. This wasn’t an emotion Demons were supposed to have. It felt horror descending upon it—a fear sealed in its bloodline.
Sean was stunned by the scene as well, his face full of shock, feeling as if a Divine Spirit’s giant hand had descended from the heavens and shrouded the battlefield. "This kind of Power..."
Back in the Death Rift, he’d only felt that Su Changxing was very strong, but now, the strength Su Changxing displayed struck him as grand, magnificent, utterly astonishing... This should not be Power a human could wield.
His mind went blank, leaving only this single thought.
The short Green-skinned Monsters had already died seven or eight out of ten; only a few remained, still splitting without pause. Some of the corpses were even generating new Green-skinned Monsters.
Su Changxing appeared amidst the Green-skinned Monsters, waved his hand, and unfolded the Pocket Galaxy’s space. The Demon’s expression turned to sheer panic as it tried to flee, only to be bound fast by the World Power, unable to move, dragged alive into the Pocket Galaxy.
Once inside the Pocket Galaxy, the Demon stopped splitting and shrank back into a single, small body. Seeing the surrounding scene, it went deathly pale.
Besides it, there were three Celestial Calamity Demons here.
"Which path are you guys from? How come I’ve never seen you before?" the Green-skinned Demon asked.
Blazing White Demon: "Aaahhh!"
Yaqi Demon: "..."
Tiancheng Demon: "How shall we behold the future!"
The Green-skinned Demon understood: "A bunch of lunatics!"
Seeing the Green-skinned Demon being ostracized like this, Su Changxing couldn’t help sighing. Sometimes being too clever doesn’t seem like a good thing either—it makes you not fit in.
The Green-skinned Demon then vanished into thin air. No one saw clearly what had happened; they only knew Su Changxing had dealt with it, all in an instant.
The Ice army collapsed once more, routing backward, while the Right Camp forces and the Undead Legion pressed forward right behind them.
The war suddenly became incomparably easy. They pushed straight ahead, reclaiming the lost positions one by one, until they could see the White Ice Illusion Mist—white fog threaded with blue light specks, with heavy snow drifting in the sky and a bone-deep chill in the air.
"It really is unusual—full of the breath of Chaos, yet not quite pure."
Su Changxing stared at the White Ice Illusion Mist before him and sighed.
This thing was far more terrifying than the black fog on Blue Star. The black fog itself didn’t contain any chaotic Power; it was more like densely packed Energy piled together into a medium, which then underwent some strange change on Blue Star, bringing in creatures from other times and spaces.
He never did figure out the specific principle, but the black fog’s direct harm to humans wasn’t that great—it just kept bringing in monsters that had lost all reason.
The White Ice Illusion Mist, however, was nowhere near that simple. If it appeared on Blue Star, there probably wouldn’t be any apocalypse; instead, it would be a collective ascension, everyone turning into Demon Species, something like the Ice Kingdom.
Shen Jinxuan, on the other hand, showed no abnormalities and wasn’t affected at all. It was Sean whose complexion turned ugly—this was his first time being this close to such a thing, and he felt his Spirit grow dazed. If he hadn’t spent so long tempering himself in the Death Rift, his Spirit would likely have suffered some distortion.
"If you can’t handle it, fall back for now. We don’t really need you here at the moment anyway," Su Changxing said to Sean.
Xiao Wen quickly shook his head and smiled. "As a loyal employee, how could I abandon my post? I’m definitely sticking with the boss."
Of course, it wasn’t just about some loyalty. He sensed danger, though he couldn’t tell where it was coming from, and felt that staying close to Su Changxing was the safest choice.
This was probably a kind of innate intuition that had helped him escape death countless times.
"Is that so? So you feel there’s something wrong here too," Su Changxing mused.
His Perception could already cover nearly a hundred miles, and he sensed that this White Ice Illusion Mist wasn’t just on this side. It could be vaguely felt in other directions as well.
It was as if it had encircled the entire area, leaving only the center open.
