Global Awakening: I'm the Only One Ready

Chapter 610. Targeting Earth, Worries Within

  • Next Chapter

The Ji Clan's Starfield Lord and the Eternals' Starfield Lord both had solemn expressions.

They had no choice but to act. The stakes were too high. Both had risked everything and placed their future in the hands of the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons. If the plan failed, the consequences would be unbearable. They had not yet fully adapted to the Quasi-Emperor Realm, but that no longer mattered. They had already broken through.

Even if they could not unleash their full power, there was probably no one in the current Xuanhuang Cosmos capable of opposing them.

The two of them had reached a realm unseen in this universe for countless years. The Quasi-Emperor Realm surpassed the Immortal Realm and held a crushing advantage over Supreme Immortals.

The two hesitated no longer and departed at once.

They also knew that Extracosmic Heavenly Demons would continue descending upon Earth during their journey.

Whether the truly powerful figures, including those beyond the Supreme Immortal Realm, would appear remained uncertain because the necessary preparations were not yet complete.

Their intervention was meant to ensure the plan continued smoothly. A moment later, both figures vanished.

The two Starfield Lords knew that a true war would erupt before long, followed by the Forsaken Heaven Clan's large-scale invasion.

The balance of power throughout the Xuanhuang Cosmos would change with it.

This would be their first step toward ruling this world.

Earth, Mount Tai's Jade Emperor Peak.

Ever since returning from Mount Hulong, Zhu Qingyu and the others had been thinking about that battle.

By studying how the thirteen Extracosmic Heavenly Demons had fought, they made good progress in analyzing their methods.

They identified the key point. The Extracosmic Heavenly Demons carried a unique bloodline power capable of suppressing their abilities, but the Providence within them appeared to neutralize that effect.

They ultimately concluded that those beings were indeed powerful, but just as Lu Yuan had said, they were not invincible. They simply needed to find the right method.

Most importantly, they had to continue growing stronger. Only then could they truly defeat the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons when war began.

Afterward, Zhu Qingyu and the others told Lu Yuan what they had discovered.

Lu Yuan was pleased with their findings. His true purpose had not been to make them determine exactly what the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons were or catalogue every ability they had.

He wanted to instill confidence in them, to make them no longer afraid and give them the will to fight.

He had achieved that initial goal, which eased his concerns somewhat. Lu Yuan then instructed them to share their discoveries with every member of the Celestial Court.

Everyone knew the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons were about to descend and that war would soon follow. An unknown enemy was always the most terrifying.

Lu Yuan knew the Celestial Court's members had little confidence in facing such an enemy. Now, he had to help them overcome that fear.

Zhu Qingyu and the others understood his intentions and immediately carried out his instructions.

After finishing all this, Lu Yuan felt slightly more relaxed, but only slightly.

Although he had achieved a complete victory in the battle against the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons, that was only the first step. When the full calamity arrived, could he really protect everyone? He probably could not.

Unless he could become the Human Sovereign Celestial Emperor during this period.

Even becoming a Supreme Immortal would not change much. At most, it would allow him to do a little more.

But once the truly powerful experts among the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons descended, he would definitely not be their match.

Not long afterward, Jiang Ningxian joined him. The moment she saw Lu Yuan, she understood what was troubling him.

The two had long since grown close enough to speak openly, so she asked directly, "Are you still worried about the descent of the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons?"

Lu Yuan had no reason to hide the truth from her. He nodded. "Yes."

Earth was still far too weak.

Even though he had already sent Jiang Huanyun into space to notify the experts of the various starfields, Earth's forces were still no match for the Extracosmic Heavenly Demons.

Though he had yet to witness the enemy's full strength, every sign pointed to the same conclusion: this threat surpassed anything they had faced before.

"If the Celestial Court could continue to grow stronger, if some of our people could enter the Grotto-Heaven Immortal Realm or even the Creation Immortal Realm, and if all the Celestial Soldiers and Celestial Generals could advance further as well, we would be in a much better position."

Lu Yuan knew that relying solely on top experts could not protect everyone.

What mattered most was making the Celestial Court's members strong enough to protect themselves.

But too little time remained for him to accomplish all of that.

"I think that no matter what we face next, doing everything we can will be enough."

Jiang Ningxian had no better solution, but she still wanted to comfort him.

As she spoke, she took his hand. "And I am willing to keep walking beside you, even if it ends badly."

Their relationship was no longer what it had once been, and neither shied away from certain feelings anymore. Lu Yuan understood that she was trying to comfort him, and a smile appeared on his face.

There was no point dwelling on it now. All they could do was wait for the true calamity to arrive.

Neither spoke after that. They simply looked into the distance together.

After a while, Jiang Ningxian left.

Lu Yuan resumed cultivating. At his realm, ordinary cultivation had little effect, but there was nothing else he could do.

Even the slightest improvement would be worthwhile.

During this period, he continued blessing the Celestial Court's members with Providence according to their individual circumstances. Many had already reached their limits, leaving only a select few whom he could still help.

If he bestowed more Providence than someone could bear, it would have the opposite effect. Otherwise, with Lu Yuan's current abilities and the Celestial Emperor's Ancient Tokens in his possession, he could have created another large group of experts.

However, he refused to force their growth at the expense of their future.

Even with a battle fast approaching, he refused to sacrifice anyone's future potential. He therefore stopped after bestowing a measured amount of Providence and returned to his own cultivation.

Time passed, and another half month went by.

Then, one day, a major piece of news suddenly arrived.
