Chapter 793 - 793: Helena's Toys
Enraged by Wuhan’s action, the woman snarled even louder, stomping towards Wuhan. “Who gave you the courage to stare at me?! No one but—”
Before she could do anything or say something else, a presence descended in the garden.
Woosh!
This presence was far thicker than what a mere captain growling before Wuhan had. This elven woman, when she walked into the garden, no one even saw how she even appeared.
The look on Wuhan’s face turned serious when he sensed the pressure pulsing underneath the surface. He did not take her youthful appearance to heart; since she had elven lineage, he was sure she could be hundreds of years old without aging a day.
‘She is almost on the same level as I am…’ Wuhan thought to himself as a string of qi sneakingly shot towards the man behind him.
“General Helena!” Seeing Helena, the woman’s rage disappeared as soon as it came. She suddenly transformed from a hyena to a docile kitten.
What caught Wuhan’s attention about her were her eyes of different colors and the drones floating around her without anything controlling them.
He could sense qi from them but nothing connecting to anything external.
‘Is she the one who made all this?’ His thoughts spiraled on their own until the woman stepped closer to the barrier.
“The priestess said you would be coming here, and once you do—” Words had barely left her mouth before Wuhan silenced her with his actions.
A talisman appeared in his hands. His hands weaved through the air at an insane speed, forming streaks of red lines that formed runic characters. By the time someone could even register his action, it was too late.
“Go!” Wuhan pushed the talisman against the barrier, and it started eating at the shield! It was literally tearing it bit by bit.
Helena’s eyes narrowed when she saw this. She jumped back, already preparing for an attack.
A figure shot past Wuhan, raising his black sword at Helena. He closed half of the distance between them in the blink of an eye. He pushed his feet against the ground once more, his eyes fixed on the general, who was still midair in her jump.
Clang!
“Before you can even touch General Helena, you have to get through me!” In the middle of his attack, Captain Blacksword was intercepted by the captain of the enemy side. She parried his sword strike with a pair of pincer-like claws.
Each pincer tooth was straight and arched at the edge. With their size comparable to an arm, the woman used them like a spear and a sword at the same time.
Swoosh!
Parrying the sword with one arm, she thrust the other to pierce the captain’s stomach.
Fortunately the captain reacted on time and pushed into his attack before deflecting the thrust with a swift swipe of his sword.
Taking the attack head-on left the female captain with trembling arms, but she refused to back down. The general she had been protecting had already backed away quite a bit, and now she was observing the attack from a distance.
“It was never my intention to attack that general of yours.” With a sleazy look in his eyes, Captain Black Sword glanced around to see seven of their guards attacking the rest of the cultists on the side. His voice tinged with mischief as he continued, “I am not sick in the head to challenge someone in the soul formation realm.”
When the cultist he was fighting finally realized what he meant, her eyes went wide in horror. From the corner of his eyes she noticed the spot where Wuhan once stood was now empty.
And the next moment an alarmingly heavy pressure descended in the area, crushing even the smallest twig of grass.
Earth caved in, and everyone was sent crashing down on their knees.
Hovering a few meters above the ground, Wuhan glanced down at the woman who was still on the ground and asked calmly, “Shall we take this somewhere else?”
The woman looked back at him without any smile and…
Her figure suddenly rose from the ground. It was only an inch above the earth before she vanished and reappeared before Wuhan.
Their figures soared into the sky, elevating the pressure in the area, allowing the kneeling figures lying or crouching on the ground to stand up straight.
“Such power…” The team leader from the Red Dawn cult spat a mouthful of blood on the ground as he tried to push himself off the ground. He had only reached halfway before he felt a gust of cold wind brushing against the back of his neck.
Thud!
With a single swing of the sword, one of Wuhan’s guards, closest to this team leader, decapitated him without even blinking an eye.
“Haah!” As the head of the dead man was still rolling on the ground, the guard had chosen his next target.
Woosh!
Though caught off guard, everyone slowly recovered their bearings, and the two captains were already back to fighting against each other.
“Hey, don’t swing there!” Captain Black Sword shrieked, alarmed as a pincer whistled past his crotch, nicking a small piece of his robe. “I did not even look at you before.”
The woman did not hear any of his pleas, but on the contrary, she was only more enraged hearing his words.
“How dare you talk about that!!” She bellowed while taking another swing at his legs. Her movements caused the lazy captain’s eyes to unconsciously look down while dodging. “Where are you looking at, you pervert!”
Captain Black Sword did not give any reply and could only smile wryly.
Here he was trying his best to avoid a battle, but his actions only enraged his opponent, and she was trying to perform a technique that seemed to be of earth rank.
Woosh!
High up in the air, above the clouds that covered the elven empire, two figures could be seen standing face-to-face.
Above them was an azure canvas that stretched beyond measure.
“Stop this futile resistance; sooner or later you WILL become part of our cause.” The yellow-haired general spoke with confidence. The metallic part of her face gleamed under sunlight, turning her fake green eye into something akin to jade.
Seeing her mentioning distance, Wuhan himself did not rush to attack and calmly asked from the distance. “Oh, would you mind telling me, what is it? The purpose of your cult.”
