With those words, "Bennett" simply walked past Su Yuan and started heading toward the doorway.

Su Yuan then realized, to his surprise, that although the forward gate remained firmly shut, the entrance behind them had somehow opened—without him noticing!

And there, by that entrance, Aether and Paimon were still lying unconscious on the floor!

If "Bennett" went that way, both Aether and Paimon would be in grave danger!

Without hesitation, Su Yuan sprinted forward, overtaking "Bennett" and reaching Aether and Paimon first.

He spread his arms wide, blocking "Bennett’s" path.

However, faced with this interference, "Bennett" didn’t bother saying another word.

He simply unleashed a surge of Eerie energy, suppressing Su Yuan’s movements, and then struck him aside with a single powerful punch.

Next, "Bennett" walked up to Paimon and repeated the same action as before—sniffing her aura curiously.

"Bennett" looked down at Aether, laughing darkly.

"Someone like you—so absurdly lucky—it’s infuriating!"

"What I hate most... are people like you, blessed by luck and walking in sunshine while the rest of us suffer!"

"So—go die!!"

As he shouted, "Bennett" gathered Eerie energy into his palm, aiming straight for Aether’s heart!

But just as the attack was about to strike, Paimon suddenly stirred.

Her eyes flew open wide as she screamed:

"No!!!"

With all her tiny strength, she launched herself at "Bennett," colliding with him mid-motion.

The impact wasn’t very strong, but it was enough to throw "Bennett’s" aim off-balance.

His deadly strike missed Aether’s chest and slammed into the ground beside him instead!

Enraged by the interference, "Bennett" glared at Paimon, his voice trembling with fury:

"Paimon! What do you think you’re doing?!"

"Just because I couldn’t sense whether you carry good or bad luck doesn’t mean I can’t kill you!"

"If I can choose to spare you, I can also choose to end you!"

With that, "Bennett" turned sharply and wrapped his hand around Paimon’s small throat, lifting her effortlessly into the air!

Paimon’s face twisted in pain as the pressure around her neck grew unbearable—her breathing becoming shallow and ragged.

Even so, she managed to turn her head toward Su Yuan, her voice trembling as she forced out:

"Su... Yuan... hurry... take the Traveler... and get out of here..."

Su Yuan’s chest tightened painfully as he watched the scene, mind racing at lightning speed.

Get out of here? In this confined space... where could he possibly run with Aether in his arms?

Moreover, even without Aether’s cooperation right now, Su Yuan could still rely on the memory or the intel prompt on right palm to perform a death rewind...
