Genshin Impact : Eerie Teyvat

Chapter 557: Ch 557 : Bennett, the Unlucky Adventurer

  • Next Chapter

Watching the scholar Dottore suddenly drop dead right before his eyes, Su Yuan was completely dumbfounded...

Moreover, judging from what that scholar Dottore had just said, it seemed that the main body of Dottore had used the rules that bound him and his segments to directly eliminate this scholar segment remotely...

"Could it be that the real Dottore didn’t want to die at the hands of his corrupted, Eerie-controlled scholar self, so he destroyed him from afar?" Su Yuan muttered to himself.

But he quickly realized—this was no time to be overthinking things.

Now that the scholar Dottore was gone, there was nothing stopping him from leaving this room.

This time, Su Yuan managed to open the door successfully and step outside...

Outside, he saw two people bound tightly with ropes—Aether and Paimon.

Both were lying unconscious on the floor, eyes closed.

It seemed the scholar Dottore had been planning to harm them in order to force Su Yuan’s compliance.

Su Yuan carefully observed his surroundings.

It looked like a narrow corridor, dim lights flickering along the walls.

He had no idea where he was, or where this hallway led—but for now, it was the only way forward.

"Aether? Paimon? Are you okay? Wake up!!!" Su Yuan gently shook them, trying to wake them up—but got no response.

With no other choice, Su Yuan lifted Aether onto his back and carried Paimon in one arm, making his way down the long corridor...

He could only hope he wouldn’t run into Aji, because after what had just happened, he could no longer summon his Foul Legacy’s Armored Form, nor could he use Abyssal power.

If he were to face the Eerie Ajie now, he’d have no chance of winning...

And with Aether and Paimon unconscious, things would be even harder.

With that anxious thought in mind, Su Yuan continued down the dim corridor.

Before long, he reached a spiral staircase descending deeper below.

He glanced around—no other paths.

Gritting his teeth, he continued downward...

Finally, after carrying Aether and Paimon down the spiral stairs, he arrived before a massive door.

Beside it stood a sign that read:

[Unknown Domain — Spiral Abyss, Floor 13]

Su Yuan stared in shock.

What the—? The Spiral Abyss only goes up to the Twelfth Floor, doesn’t it?

How could there be a Thirteenth Floor?!

Once again, he found himself torn with uncertainty.

What was going on now?

He had no path left to retreat.

Could it be that he had to clear the Thirteenth Floor to find a way out of this whole situation?

But... the Twelfth Floor alone had already been impossibly difficult.

If not for that strange malfunction in one of his clones causing it to suddenly switch sides, he probably wouldn’t have survived at all...

Though conflicted, Su Yuan knew he had no other choice.

He gently laid Aether and Paimon down on the ground, then turned toward the massive gate alone.

"Fine—let me see for myself what kind of powerful enemies await on the Thirteenth Floor of the Spiral Abyss!!!"

As soon as Su Yuan stepped into the Thirteenth Floor’s arena, the first thing he saw was a familiar figure...

Familiar—at least from his side.

Because Su Yuan knew this person, but the other party probably didn’t know him.

It was none other than the one they had searched for so long without success—Bennett!

Seeing Bennett standing there, Su Yuan thought, Could it be that when Bennett went missing during that adventure, he accidentally triggered a teleportation gate and ended up here—the hidden Thirteenth Floor of the Spiral Abyss?

If that were true, then Bennett’s infamous bad luck really lived up to its name!

Just as Su Yuan was about to greet him, he noticed something was off—

Bennett’s appearance looked... strange.

A chill ran down Su Yuan’s spine.

Could it be that Bennett had already been corrupted and controlled by the Eerie forces?

But according to the information inscribed in his right palm, the condition for Bennett’s corruption was supposed to be... experiencing good luck?!

But with Bennett’s infamously unlucky constitution, good luck was practically impossible for him — it was as if fortune itself was allergic to him.

Unless someone intentionally interfered with his fate, there was no way Bennett would just casually fall into a state of Eerie state.

So then... could it be that Bennett wasn’t corrupted because of his own internal conditions, but rather because he was being controlled by some external Eerie power?

If that were the case, then all Su Yuan needed to do was find a way to drain the Eerie energy clinging to Bennett’s body, and he should return to normal!

However, there was one huge problem — without the ability to summon his Foul Legacy’s Armored Form or use Abyssal power, how could he possibly defeat this Eerie "Bennett"?

Just as Su Yuan was deep in thought, the armor of the Foul Legacy’s Armament suddenly manifested around him on its own!

He stared at it in pleasant surprise.

Moments ago, when he faced Dottore, he couldn’t summon it at all — but now, it had appeared so easily?

He didn’t know why, but it didn’t matter.

Facing this Eerie "Bennett," he finally had the power to fight!

With that thought, Su Yuan focused the Abyssal energy into his hand, shaping it into a weapon, and charged toward "Bennett" with all his might!

"Bennett," however, showed no sign of backing down.

He swiftly drew his one-handed sword, coated it in Eerie energy, and met Su Yuan’s strike head-on!

When their blades clashed, Su Yuan could clearly feel that "Bennett’s" strength wasn’t overwhelming.

That confirmed his suspicion — this wasn’t a full Eerie transformation brought on by Bennett’s own nature, but rather an incomplete Eerie caused by external forces.

Realizing this, Su Yuan’s fighting spirit surged, his momentum rising even higher.

He poured more power into his attacks, driving the Abyssal energy straight at "Bennett" again and again!

Under the relentless assault, "Bennett" began to falter.

Unable to keep up, he hastily used the Eerie energy to form a protective shield, shifting from offense to defense.

That was exactly what Su Yuan wanted to see.

After all, maintaining an Eerie shield consumed enormous amounts of Eerie power!

At this rate, it wouldn’t be long before all of the Eerie energy was drained from "Bennett’s" body— and then, he would return to normal!
