Gene Domination: The Loli Who Devours Worlds
Chapter 221: Super Jaeger
One week.
From the moment the Swarm flooded into the Wormhole, for an entire week, the surface of the Pacific Ocean remained as calm as a mirror.
No Kaiju, no alarms, no anomalies whatsoever.
It was as if those giant beasts from the abyss had never existed.
Humanity welcomed a rare moment of peace.
But everyone knew this was merely the calm before the storm.
Hong Kong Base, seaside boardwalk.
Lilith stood before the railing, her crimson eyes gazing into the depths of the ocean.
The sea breeze brushed past, her long silver-white hair fluttering gently behind her, carrying a faint, delicate fragrance.
She could feel it.
Deep within the Pacific Ocean, a surge of energy was brewing, converging, and expanding.
That was no force of nature, but a will from the other side of the Wormhole.
The Precursors were about to launch an all-out offensive.
As for the reason—
Perhaps only that Hive Lord knew.
Lilith withdrew her gaze and was about to turn around when the tablet in her hand suddenly vibrated.
It was a message from Sterk.
“The Jaegers are complete. Shao Industries Base.”
Below were several photos.
Inside a massive steel warehouse, eleven colossal entities were lined up in neat formation.
The tallest one was silver-grey all over, with a streamlined Torso, slender limbs, and a massive thruster array on its back.
It stood there like a silent Titan.
The corners of Lilith’s mouth curled up slightly.
She set down the tablet and turned to leave.
On the helipad, a military helicopter was already prepared.
The nearby non-commissioned officer snapped to attention and saluted, his gaze filled with reverence.
Lilith boarded the helicopter, the hatch closed, and the rotors roared.
Destination—Shao Industries Base.
…
Inside the massive steel warehouse of the Shao Industries Base.
Eleven Jaegers, like eleven ancient giant gods, stood tall within their massive gantries.
They were no longer agile-type Jaegers like Gipsy Danger.
They had abandoned lightweight materials and the design compromises made to reduce the burden on pilots.
In their place was heavy armor, solid skeletons, and alloys capable of withstanding any impact.
Each one weighed over ten thousand tons.
Even the smallest among them weighed twelve thousand tons.
And the one in the center—
It stood one hundred and twenty meters tall and weighed forty thousand tons.
Its armor was five times thicker than Gipsy Danger’s, its skeletal diameter was three times larger, and its power output was ten times greater.
Once operational, each of its hydraulic-controlled fingers, driven at full power, was enough to crush the skull of a Level Four Kaiju!
Every step it took could make the earth tremble.
It stood there like a silent giant, waiting for its master’s arrival.
Sterk stood beneath the Jaegers, looking up at these steel beasts.
His face carried an excitement he could hardly conceal.
This was the most glorious moment in human history.
Eleven nuclear-powered heavy Jaegers, each reaching the level of a quasi-Level Six Monster.
And the one in the center—its strength was enough to confront a Level Six Monster head-on.
Moreover, the people piloting these Jaegers were already beings far beyond ordinary humans.
Humanity truly has hope now.
“Commander, the helicopter has arrived.”
An officer ran over, looked at Sterk, and said with a salute.
Hearing this, Sterk turned around and strode outside.
On the helipad, Lilith had just stepped off the helicopter.
She had changed into a new set of clothes, a custom military uniform of the Pan-Pacific Defense Corps base.
A black trench coat, silver epaulettes, over-the-knee boots, black stockings wrapping her thighs, and that combat skirt that allowed for free movement.
Pinned to the collar of the trench coat was a silver badge, the emblem of the Pan-Pacific Defense Corps High Command.
Wearing this uniform, her status was on par with Sterk’s.
And her title had already spread among the populace—
“The Little Commander of the Pan-Pacific Base.”
After photos of that uniform were uploaded to the internet, she gained tens of millions of loyal fans.
Seeing Lilith walk down, Sterk immediately went forward to greet her.
“You’re here.”
He stepped aside, pointing toward the steel warehouse behind him.
“The one in the center, the Jaeger named ‘Abyss’, was tailor-made for you.”
Lilith followed his gaze.
In the shadows of the warehouse, that silver-grey Jaeger stood silently.
Its height of one hundred and twenty meters made it a full head taller than the other Jaegers.
Its streamlined Torso was covered in thick composite armor.
Two improved Plasma Cannons were mounted on the shoulders, and retractable Chain Swords were hidden inside the forearms.
On its back was a massive thruster array, and at its chest were six interacting nuclear reactors, enough to propel this forty-thousand-ton beast into short-distance sprints.
Its head was the most striking part of the entire Jaeger.
A streamlined helmet, a narrow faceplate, and those two pairs of crimson optical sensors could capture all biological signals in a 360-degree radius!
Lilith sized up the Jaeger, her mouth slowly curling into a grin.
Perfect.
Whether in design or scale, it perfectly met her expectations.
A weight of forty thousand tons, a height of one hundred and twenty meters, and an alloy skeleton capable of withstanding her overloaded driving.
This Jaeger wasn’t meant for fighting Level Four Kaiju.
Nor was it meant for fighting Level Five Kaiju.
It was meant for fighting—Level Six.
Even for the total extinction of the Kaiju!
Standing to the side and seeing the light flashing in Lilith’s eyes, Sterk felt a complex mix of emotions.
The fluctuations of life signals in the Pacific were very calm, so calm that humans couldn’t detect them at all.
But he knew that an unprecedented great war was about to arrive.
It would be the final battle between humanity and the Kaiju.
Only one side could survive.
And the Little Girl before him was humanity’s last hope.
Lilith withdrew her gaze and looked at Sterk.
“I want to go up and try it.”
Sterk nodded.
“Go ahead.”
Lilith’s foot pushed off the ground, and as the floor cracked, her petite figure leaped up, landing steadily on the shoulder of that one-hundred-and-twenty-meter steel god.
She looked down at the people below gazing up at her.
Then, she stepped forward and entered the cockpit.
The hatch closed.
Abyss awakened.
Those crimson optical sensors lit up, like a giant beast opening its eyes.
A powerful aura instantly made everyone below hold their breath; the mere activation of this Jaeger displayed an imposing presence that Gipsy Danger couldn’t even hope to match.
This was a true war machine!
A super Jaeger capable of completely ending the Kaiju and ushering in a new life for humanity!
