Meeting Perico inside Kiara’s domain had changed something deep inside Faye. Whatever had happened during that encounter had triggered a physical transformation she could no longer ignore.

Her brown hair was slowly turning back to its original natural color.

White.

Strand by single strand.

Right after meeting up with Kiara, she went straight to the one place that could actually explain her crazy situation.

PP shop.

The moment she stepped inside, Pali’s reaction made it clear that he hadn’t forgotten their previous encounter.

At first, Pali firmly told Faye to leave immediately because of what had gone down last time. He had no intention of welcoming her back as though nothing had happened. However, his attitude changed the moment Faye showed him her changing hair.

Whatever annoyance he had been feeling was quickly replaced by curiosity.

Pali motioned for her to sit down and began examining her hair under the bright light. He carefully separated the strands, inspecting the difference between the remaining brown sections and the white ones. Faye remained still while he worked, although she was growing impatient with how long he was taking.

Pali took his sweet time carefully examining her hair. When he was finally done, he looked at the young Omega with an intense expression that suggested he already suspected she had done something extreme.

"Faye, what you do?" Pali asked, dropping her hair.

He slowly returned to his counter and continued doing what he had been doing before the young Omega entered, carefully preparing his dried herbs.

"I did nothing at all. It just appeared on my head this morning..." Faye said, standing up from her chair.

"You definitely did something, Faye. If you didn’t do anything, then explain to me right now how you broke your mother’s powerful spell."

"Well, I thought it was just a concoction she drank back then that made my hair brown..." Faye explained, moving much closer to the counter.

Pali stopped what he was doing long enough to give her a disbelieving look. Faye clearly hadn’t understood the extent of the magic her mother had used on her.

"Your mother was a very powerful witch. Obviously, she used some extremely strong magic that also hid your true identity from the world. Now you’ve completely broken whatever magic she placed on you, and your true appearance is showing up. Before the next full moon arrives, your hair will be completely white, and when your eyes glow, they’ll shine bright like the full moon."

"Ohhh, noooo..." Faye muttered, her hand touching her head.

She ran her fingers through her hair, staring at the pale strands as the explanation began to sink in. Her mother hadn’t merely changed her appearance. She had hidden something fundamental about Faye, and whatever protection that spell provided was now coming undone.

Faye quickly realized that the heavy magic must have been broken when she travelled directly into that psychotic bitch. Her encounter with Perico inside Kiara’s domain had clearly triggered something powerful, and now she was dealing with the consequences.

The thought left her with mixed feelings. Part of her wanted to understand everything that was happening, while another part was frustrated that she had stumbled into another complicated problem without meaning to.

Meanwhile, Pali brought out his smartphone and started dialing a number.

"What are you doing?" Faye asked, her eyes narrowing.

"Calling your brother right now to tell him what you’ve done to yourself."

"Wait a second, you cannot do that!"

"Yes, I can do it, and I’m doing it right now."

Faye immediately moved closer to the counter, watching his hand. She knew exactly how her brother might react if he heard about her changing appearance. Considering everything their family had endured, the news would hardly be something he could take calmly.

"Come on, you already know how he is. He’s way too emotional and fragile about everything. Besides, it’s really not a bad thing that my true identity is finally surfacing."

"It is a very bad thing! Your entire family line is completely extinct because of what you are, and you’re currently standing right in the middle of the land of someone who desperately wants you dead. He needs to know what’s happening..."

Pali’s concern was understandable, but Faye had reached the point where she was tired of allowing fear to dictate every decision she made. She had spent enough time hiding, and the idea of returning to that life made her angry.

"And do what exactly? Run away into hiding like he did with me seven years ago? I’m not scared of anyone anymore, and I’m done hiding who I truly am. I’m a Moon Wolf, and anyone who tries to come and kill me will die first. Call him if you really want to. I don’t give a fuck..."

Hearing that cold, firm tone come out of Faye made Pali pause his finger. He stared hard at the young girl standing in front of his counter, studying her face as though he were seeing someone different from the person who had entered his shop.

The Faye he knew had always been stubborn, but there was something more intense about her now. She wasn’t simply arguing because she disliked being told what to do. She genuinely seemed prepared to face whatever came after her transformation.

Faye was really, truly changing inside and out.

"Okay, I won’t call him for now. You can go ahead and tell him yourself. Just tell me right now exactly what you did to trigger all of this," Pali said, slowly putting his phone down on the glass.

Faye finally relaxed a little. She knew she couldn’t keep the details from Pali if she wanted him to help her understand the situation, so she began explaining what had happened inside Kiara’s domain.

"I helped Kiara Petro make a deal with the Fire Demon living inside her so she could live forever something like. We travelled deep inside her domain, and it turned out that I’m connected to the Fire Demon. He was actually my real brother in my second past life," Faye explained, telling him every single detail of everything that had happened.

Pali listened carefully, his expression growing heavier as he processed her explanation. The connection between Faye and the Fire Demon was not something he could dismiss, especially considering the magic now revealing her true appearance.

"That thing is dangerous, you know that right?" Pali warned her, shaking his head.

"He is dangerous," Faye quickly corrected him. "And the world made him dangerous."

Pali looked at her for a moment, apparently recognizing that arguing about the Fire Demon’s nature would get him nowhere. His concern was not simply about whether Faye trusted the creature. It was about the consequences of getting involved with forces that had already caused so much destruction.

"What I’m trying to say to you is, just be careful out there. You’re trying to challenge the Council of Oakland. They’re the ones who brought him directly into this land, and they’re definitely not people to be toyed with. They destroy anyone who tries to challenge their rule, including Walkers, outsiders, rogues, and even your own mother," Pali said, his voice dropping heavy.

"Don’t worry about it, Uncle PP. They will all soon be destroyed..."

After finishing her meeting with Pali, Faye was standing right outside the shop when Henry returned from the basketball championship. He was super happy and loudly celebrating the Oakland school’s total success, with a shiny gold medal hanging proud around his neck.

When Henry stepped up and gave Faye a big, tight hug, his eyes suddenly glowed bright. He instantly felt the powerful, unmistakable magic presence of the exact woman he and his mother had been running from for years.

"Did you recently meet up with a Lycan witch?"
