Chapter 333: Chapter 43: Forcefully Suppressing the Scene
Mo Ning’s eyes glinted.
’High Nobility?’
In the various kingdoms, titles of Marquis and above were considered High Nobility, a category that also included the Royal Family.
Mo Ning mulled it over for a moment, then ventured, "Good day, Her Highness the Princess!"
The words had barely left his mouth when the Female Apprentice’s pupils constricted, and a look of astonishment flashed across her face.
This small detail was undeniable proof—he was right!
’She really is a princess from one of the kingdoms!’
Princess Peggy scanned the sky, searching for his position.
But she was disappointed.
The voice was ethereal, as if carried on the wind from afar, making it impossible to pinpoint its source.
Princess Peggy scrutinized the sky but found nothing out of the ordinary.
Mo Ning was also somewhat surprised.
He’d previously speculated that a Royal Family was behind the Adventurer’s Guild, but he never imagined he’d be right.
Not only that, but the Royal Family had sent a princess in person.
That made it all but certain that Peggy was the leader of the Adventurer’s Guild.
Mo Ning suppressed his surprise and said in a calm, unhurried voice:
"Her Highness the Princess, that tunnel is no place to be staying. What’s more, these ruins are far more dangerous than you imagine. Please have the other 37 members of the Adventurer’s Guild come out."
The number ’37’ instantly caused Princess Peggy’s pupils to quiver.
A mysterious figure had appeared out of nowhere, deep in the desolate Yatu Plateau. He had not only seen through her identity as a princess but also knew the exact number of people in her Adventurer’s Guild. The revelation struck her with tremendous force.
’It would be incredibly foolish to start a conflict with this mysterious person.’
Princess Peggy hesitated for a second, then finally gave the order:
"Everyone, come on out."
She stepped aside, clearing the way to the tunnel entrance behind her. One by one, her team members emerged.
「Three minutes later.」
In the woods at the foot of the hill, a dense crowd of figures had gathered.
Mo Ning’s gaze swept over the crowd, quickly locking onto the two Second Level Apprentices and the Silver Knights.
The number of Second Level Apprentices matched his earlier deduction perfectly. There were only two of them.
One was blind in one eye, the other tall and lanky. They weren’t wearing Apprentice Grey Robes, so they blended into the crowd.
However, Mo Ning possessed an excellent-Quality Witchcraft Item he had received during the general assessment—the Magic-Sensing Mask.
The item had only one function: observing the ripples of disturbance created by a Magic Source.
To put it simply, a "Magic Source" referred to a Spirit Ring and a Magic Pool, both of which constantly emitted these disturbances.
The strength of these disturbances revealed the capacity of the Magic Pool, which in turn allowed one to deduce the target’s tier.
Of course, the Magic-Sensing Mask wasn’t foolproof. Certain Witchcraft Items could effectively mask the disturbances from a Magic Pool.
As for the Silver Knights, identifying them would have been difficult for an ordinary Apprentice, but for Mo Ning, it was exceedingly simple.
He had ignited his Qi and Blood Power, and with his incredibly potent Qi and Blood Origin, a single glance was all he needed to trigger his Qi and Blood Sensing.
There were more Silver Knights than he’d expected—four in total.
Mo Ning’s tone was flat. "Everyone, these ruins are under the control of the Black Tower Academy. This is not a place you should have come."
The ruins were located near the Cabin in the Woods and served as a key point for a large-scale Maze Lock Magic, so his claim was perfectly justifiable.
He had no desire for a violent conflict with the Adventurer’s Guild. The simplest and quickest method was to first cow them with an intimidating display of power, then use the Academy’s name to frighten them off.
The color drained from the faces of all the adventurers, including Princess Peggy.
Within the domain of the Seven Great Kingdoms, the three words "Black Tower Academy" held immense power.
The tall Second Level Apprentice couldn’t help but shout:
"I’m an Apprentice from the Black Tower Academy. I spent over thirty years there. As far as I know, the Academy has no outposts on the Yatu Plateau."
The implication was clear: You’re lying.
The word had barely left his mouth when the situation took a sudden, shocking turn.
BOOM—
A sudden thunderclap tore through the clear sky, its roar echoing through the valley.
The members of the Adventurer’s Guild jumped in fright.
ZZZT—CRACKLE—ZZZT—
Accompanied by the dense crackling of electricity, an even more incredible sight materialized.
Countless thin, blue Electric Snakes materialized out of thin air more than two hundred meters up. They slithered through the sky, coalescing into the indistinct shape of a gigantic eagle.
The Thunder Eagle’s wingspan was a terrifying one hundred meters. Its body radiated a faint blue glow, each and every one of its feathers formed from condensed lightning.
It hovered in midair and flapped its Thunderous Wings. The motion sent countless Electric Snakes dancing wildly through the sky in a terrifying display.
The dozens of adventurers below watched, dumbfounded.
Having condensed their Spirit Rings, the two Second Level Apprentices and five First Level Apprentices were more sensitive to fluctuations in Magic Power. They could clearly sense the ferocious power contained within the Thunder Eagle.
Every one of the First Level Apprentices felt an intense pressure, as if they were suffocating.
The Second Level Apprentices fared slightly better, but even they felt the hairs on their bodies stand on end.
In short, no one there had the confidence to withstand a full-powered strike from the Thunder Eagle.
Then, a figure in a Black Robe emerged from the Thunder Eagle’s chest. He wore a black mask that revealed only his forehead and a pair of ice-cold eyes.
This was, of course, Mo Ning.
The mask he wore was none other than the Magic-Sensing Mask.
Princess Peggy’s pupils contracted sharply.
’A Black Robe!’
Any Apprentice, upon seeing a Black Robe, would have a single name flash through their mind: the Arbitration Court.
