From Wizard Apprentice to Conqueror of Myriad Worlds
Chapter 326 - 41: The Vision for Making History
Chapter 326: Chapter 41: The Vision for Making History
Lola fell silent in thought for a rare moment before formally offering her opinion:
"Mo Ning, I’ve heard you possess a Triangular Wing, personally crafted by an Official Wizard.
"So, this helmet you designed is meant to be used with the Triangular Wing, isn’t it?"
Mo Ning nodded slightly. "Yes. Your insight is admirable."
This statement once again drew astonished glances from the other apprentices.
How could anyone not be surprised that an apprentice had obtained a tool personally crafted by an Official Wizard?
Lola began to speak, her words flowing with practiced ease:
"Judging by the design philosophy of the Magic Pattern Group carved into the helmet, you’re hoping to achieve a wider field of view.
"That way, when you’re on the Triangular Wing, you can freely observe your surroundings from all angles without having to turn your head. This would allow you to handle any situation with ease, correct?"
The Female Apprentice added offhandedly, "I must say, this is a truly creative idea. I’ve studied the Triangular Wing designed by Lord Hede in detail, and this is a concept that not even an Official Wizard had considered."
With this praise, even more gazes from those around them fell upon Mo Ning.
Mo Ning paid them no mind, focusing solely on the Female Apprentice’s words.
She had understood his entire concept with just a brief inspection of the Magic Pattern Core. Her level of expertise was truly admirable.
’She’s truly worthy of her title as a Third Level Apprentice who has studied Magic Pattern Study for decades.’
Lola immediately followed up with her first suggestion:
"The most important function of the helmet you designed is observation, and for that, you used the Hawkeye Magic Pattern Group.
"Its core function is to capture more light, thereby dramatically enhancing your powers of observation. It not only allows you to see farther, but also with greater clarity.
"But the Hawkeye Magic Pattern Group has a flaw: it captures far, far too much detail. Attempting to achieve a 360-degree, gapless field of view would place an enormous strain on your mind.
"This might be fine for a short period, but any extended use will drastically increase your fatigue."
Mo Ning couldn’t help but nod.
He had been studying Magic Pattern Study for too short a time. His accumulated knowledge was insufficient, and he was severely lacking in experience. It was true that there were many aspects he hadn’t considered thoroughly.
The Female Apprentice had hit the nail on the head, pointing out a problem he hadn’t even considered. Her advice would save him from many potential dead ends.
Lola continued, "Personally, I think you could set up a visual core and add a system of rules to its magic patterns.
"For most of your flight time on the Triangular Wing, you could use these rules to reduce the observational precision. You’d only have the Magic Pattern Group operate at full power at specific moments, which would significantly reduce the mental strain.
"Second, besides the Hawkeye Magic Pattern Group, there are two other Magic Pattern Groups that can achieve the full field of view you require. They just work on different principles..."
The Female Apprentice spoke at length, offering six suggestions, every single one of which resonated deeply with Mo Ning.
He felt, from the bottom of his heart, that the dozens of Black Tower Points he had spent to enroll in the Magic Pattern Study course had been more than worth it.
Lola spoke for a full three minutes without a pause, concluding her critique with a single sentence:
"Mo Ning, I have a feeling... you’re trying to build a very interesting new combat system.
"In the fifteen-plus years I’ve been a lecturer for Magic Pattern Study, you are the most talented student I have ever seen."
This was extraordinary praise.
Mo Ning was inwardly stunned.
Both the Triangular Wing and the concept of unmanned drones were links in a brand-new combat system he was constructing, based on the history of warfare from his past life.
He harbored a grand ambition: to completely overturn the very nature of warfare in the Wizard World.
After gaining a sufficient understanding of history, he had keenly noted a problem: although Witchcraft had developed for tens of thousands of years, transitioning from Ancient Witchcraft to Divination Witchcraft, the methods of warfare had not fundamentally changed.
This long history had created a powerful, unprecedented inertia. The combat style of Divination Wizards had never truly escaped the old mold of the Ancient Wizards. The only difference was that the Witchcraft of the new era was more powerful and varied.
If his vision became a reality, it would undoubtedly unleash an epoch-making revolutionary wave.
Mo Ning was absolutely certain that if he succeeded, the name "Mo Ning" would spread throughout the entire Wizard World. That would be true immortality, a name etched into the annals of history.
He truly hadn’t expected the Female Apprentice to have pieced together so much from just the Triangular Wing and the helmet.
’I have to admit, there are too many brilliant people in this academy.’
Lola, ever efficient, immediately began critiquing the other outstanding works submitted by the apprentices:
"The item Larry created also has some commendable aspects. Let me elaborate..."
But compared to the helmet Mo Ning had made, the craftsmanship of this piece was far too crude, and its function was too dull to capture anyone’s interest.
As a result, very few apprentices in the room were actually listening to her critique. Most were sneaking glances at Mo Ning.
Even Larry himself seemed distracted, his gaze drifting from time to time to the helmet resting on the lectern.
It was no exaggeration to say that Mo Ning had truly made a name for himself this time.
He had gained some fame in the last class, but that was based on rumors. This class, however, showed the apprentices what true, genius-level talent looked like.
It was an insurmountable lead. The other apprentices were left so far behind they couldn’t even see his shadow.
The three-hour class came to a close under a bombardment of dense information.
Just like in the previous class, the other apprentices listened with furrowed brows, while Mo Ning appeared completely at ease.
He was using the Pen of Contemplation while simultaneously executing the Jet Magic Pen Skill he had learned just a few days prior.
