Chapter 320: Chapter 186: I Didn’t Do Anything, I Just Nodded

"Who! Who’s talking!"

Manager Wang’s expression instantly darkened when he heard this. He roared and looked toward the source of the voice, only to see a young man strolling in.

"Bro!" Chen Peng was also a little stunned when he saw that the newcomer was his cousin, Su Chen. Once he snapped out of it, he hurried over to him.

"Weren’t you at the hotel? What are you doing here at the factory? Go back to the hotel for now. I’ll come find you after I’ve handled things here!" As he spoke, Chen Peng tried to grab Su Chen’s arm and lead him outside.

But... Su Chen showed no intention of leaving. Instead, he patted Chen Peng’s arm and said, "It’s okay, Brother. Just leave the rest to me."

"Leave it to you? How could you possibly solve this?" Chen Peng panicked. This whole mess had already upset Manager Wang. If his cousin kept causing trouble, he couldn’t even imagine what the consequences would be.

"Don’t worry." Su Chen gave a reassuring wave and strode toward Manager Wang.

"Ugh, what a mess!" Chen Peng stomped his foot and hurried after them. Since things had already gotten this far, he figured he might as well just let it all play out. ’It can’t possibly get any worse,’ he thought.

Everyone assumed Su Chen was going to confront Manager Wang. Manager Wang himself braced for it, clasping his hands behind his back, curious to see how this young punk planned to make him regret this.

But when they saw Su Chen completely ignore Manager Wang and walk straight toward President Li instead, everyone was utterly baffled.

However, the scene that followed made everyone present—Manager Wang, Director Li, Chen Peng, and Fu Qiaoyu alike—stare with their jaws agape.

They watched as President Li scurried over, bowing with a fawning expression as he extended both hands to shake Su Chen’s.

"Wh-wh-what... is going on?" Manager Wang stammered. He knew from Chen Peng’s earlier words that this young man was his cousin, but he just couldn’t process the scene unfolding before him.

A billionaire groveling and fawning over a young man—it was an unbelievable sight for anyone.

Yet, this scene was genuinely happening right before their very eyes. It was enough to make everyone’s brains short-circuit.

After a polite handshake with President Li, Su Chen looked at him and joked, "Haha, President Li. I didn’t expect such a coincidence. Fancy running into you here!"

This President Li was none other than one of the first three people to arrive, besides Su Chen himself, back when he was attending a training course at Peking University. Technically, that made them classmates.

"M-Mr. Su, I can’t believe you still remember me! It’s a tremendous honor!" President Li was visibly excited. To be remembered by a titan like Su Chen was a blessing.

A faint smile played on Su Chen’s lips. "How could I forget? You left quite an impression on me."

President Li gave a sheepish laugh. He knew exactly what Su Chen meant—that he had been blind and looked down on him, failing to recognize the true powerhouse that Su Chen was.

"Brother Peng," Fu Qiaoyu whispered, tugging on Chen Peng’s sleeve. "What’s the deal with your cousin? He seems to know President Li from Weiru, and President Li is being so deferential to him."

Chen Peng’s mind was still reeling. Hearing his wife’s question, he could only shake his head blankly.

He couldn’t help it; the shock was simply too much. That moment when President Li of Weiru bowed to shake hands... he looked just like Chen Peng himself did when facing Manager Wang.

Standing a short distance away, Manager Wang and Director Li were also whispering to each other.

"Manager, this young man seems to be a big deal. Look at President Li, he’s practically bent in half!"

"You think I need you to tell me? Am I blind?!" Manager Wang shot Director Li a glare before his gaze returned to Su Chen and President Li.

His focus, of course, was on Su Chen, and he racked his brain, wondering about the young man’s origins.

’He’s Chen Peng’s cousin, which means he’s probably from some village outside Wudu, just like him,’ he thought. ’Otherwise, why would Chen Peng be renting a small factory here?’

But for a young man from a small village to make a famous billionaire grovel... there was clearly more to this story than met the eye.

After pondering for a long while and coming up with nothing, Manager Wang gritted his teeth. He decided to go over, swallow his pride, and get acquainted with Su Chen before discussing a solution.

Just as he was about to take a step, he saw President Li beckoning him over.

Delighted by this, Manager Wang didn’t hesitate for a moment and hurried over.

"President Li, hello! And hello to you, Sir!" Manager Wang said, putting on a shameless, fawning smile. He mimicked President Li’s earlier gesture, bending at the waist in a deep bow, hoping to shake Su Chen’s hand.

But his hand was left hanging in the air for a long moment with no response.

He looked up, only to find Su Chen was no longer there. A quick scan of the room revealed that he had already walked back over to Chen Peng.

In that instant, Manager Wang’s face became a kaleidoscope of colors, shifting through shades of green, white, and red.

Staring at Su Chen’s back, if looks could kill, Su Chen would have already died a thousand deaths at the hands of Manager Wang.

In all his years of working, he, Wang Tianming, had never suffered such a humiliating slight. How could he possibly stomach it?
