Four Split Personalities
Chapter 2923 - 1386: The Stars’ Revelation (Part 2)
But good quality is one thing, looking pleasing is another, wearing that outfit regardless of season or occasion is yet another matter. Although this girl is a homebody with no desire to show off, that mage attire is not her ideal outfit. For someone who often battles with computers in a fixed place, loose, comfortable, and easy to clean are the most important factors.
And while that gear can be cleaned by putting it into the pack and taking it out, it’s not loose at all, and wearing it is a hassle, especially with the particularly thick soles. Anyway, Double Leaf doesn’t like it, which is why she takes off her clothes indoors whenever possible. If Frank Hughes hadn’t been living with them, Double Leaf would have stripped down to the basics back at the hostel...
In short, after initially reaching an agreement with Tan Mo, Double Leaf no longer needed to be armed at all times and places, allowing her much more freedom in choosing what to wear.
Ironically, Diana was wrapping herself up more tightly.
"Frank might not want me to dress so... revealing."
Diana blushed slightly, pressed her lips together, and whispered, "Although he never said it, I can sense it somewhat, and I don’t like being stared at, so dressing like this... is somewhat better."
Double Leaf huffed a bit, annoyed, looking at Diana’s quite sizable but not noticeable bust under the not-so-fitted mage robe, and then shifted her gaze to Diana’s exquisitely charming face full of intelligence, teasing, "I always wonder, you and Ana are top beauties, how have both of you stayed single until now, especially you, Diana? You’re so gullible, how come no one ever managed to fool you? Are the men around you ascetics?"
"Don’t... don’t say nonsense... especially not in front of Frank!"
Diana flicked Double Leaf’s forehead lightly and gave a faint smile, whispering, "Maybe... the people I met before weren’t skilled enough at trickery..."
"Alright, let’s stop this topic."
Double Leaf seriously raised her small hand, sternly saying, "Before I think you’re completely beyond hope, let’s go, let’s go, your dear Frank is waiting for us."
Diana nodded with a silly smile, then suddenly held Double Leaf’s slender shoulders, gently saying, "Before that, can I trouble you to go to Demster Magician Academy in the Outer Ring District to fetch my astrology notes? I accidentally left them there this morning."
"What?!"
Double Leaf’s expression instantly froze, exclaiming, "Why didn’t you say it earlier?"
Diana smiled sheepishly, "I just remembered, so can I trouble you?"
Double Leaf squinted her eyes angrily, gritting her teeth, "Why don’t you go yourself?"
"Because I want to see Frank sooner."
Diana’s reply was confident.
"I also want to see Frank sooner."
Double Leaf put on a rascal face and began to slack.
"Then I should definitely send you~"
Diana beamed as if flowers were blooming.
"...Damn it."
After a few seconds of silence, the girl cursed under her breath, then with eyes half-closed said, "You two better behave, I won’t be knocking when I get back."
"Okay, I got it."
Diana touched Double Leaf’s unruly cowlick, giving her a sweet smile, "Be careful on the road."
"Thanks a lot."
Double Leaf pressed her cowlick with her hand, made a funny face at Diana, and then summoned the [Law Enforcer] with Wind Element as the base, spending about five seconds shaping the surrounding green wind element into a ’sword shape’, then enchanted herself and the magic wand with [Levitation Spell], [Antigravity Field], [Speed Spell], [Lightning Fast], [Air Control Spell], and over a dozen spells. Satisfied, she placed the magic wand that looked like a giant sword on the ground, ran over with small steps, and stood atop it, adopting a high and mighty posture.
"Sword Control Technique · Rise!"
Along with a meaningless feminine shout, the [Law Enforcer] equipped with flight capabilities carried Double Leaf into the air, accelerating suddenly with a whistling sound.
Indeed, the [Law Enforcer] shot out, but Double Leaf atop it lost her balance and fell with a loud ’plop’, landing firmly on her rear, and then chased after it grumbling.
"Pfft~"
Diana giggled lightly, then shook her head and headed towards the nearby high-class hotel.
...
Ten minutes later
Game Time PM19:18
Diana A. Achizolti appeared at the door of the zero suite on the hotel’s top floor.
However, she did not open the door but stood quietly, spacing out for a dozen seconds before turning to lean on the railing, gazing at the starry night sky above Academy City, a smile flickering at the corner of her lips.
Time flies by, the years slip away—
In the blink of an eye, two minutes had passed.
At exactly PM19:20 in game time, Diana emerged from her reverie, took out the room card etched with a small barrier, swiped it on the door, and entered.
What she saw was the spacious room as usual, the floor-to-ceiling windows cleaned ten hours ago, slippers arranged ten seconds ago, coffee just brewed twenty seconds ago, and the lover appearing a minute ago.
"Frank~"
Diana bent to take off her long boots, ran barefoot to Frank Hughes, and threw herself into the welcoming arms of her lover, nuzzling his shoulder with her face, "I’m back."
"Welcome back?"
Carrying the small woman horizontally in his arms, Motan returned to the foyer, pulled over a soft cushion, and placed Diana onto it, crouching to put on her plush slippers, smiling, "You’ve worked hard."
"No way, I’ve been lazing around~"
Blushing, Diana kissed Motan’s cheek nearby, whispering, "In Double Leaf’s words, it’s... what... lazing around?"
"It’s slacking off."
Holding Diana’s hand, Motan stood up, shrugging with a laugh, "Double Leaf always says things we don’t quite understand. Speaking of which, didn’t she come back with you?"
Standing at the floor-to-ceiling window, resting her head on her lover’s shoulder, Diana closed her eyes comfortably, "Double Leaf went to fetch what I left behind; it’ll take a while before she returns. Let’s wait for her together."
"Sure."
Motan nodded vigorously, took Diana’s hand, and led her to the kitchen, "Come on, tell me what you want for dinner... hmm?"
Unable to pull Diana along, he hesitated and turned to his lover, who remained at the window, asking tentatively, "Diana?"
"After Double Leaf returns, let’s rest."
"Eh?"
"I’m feeling a bit tired today. Frank, put me to sleep early, would you..."
"That... I guess I can..."
"Frank, you’re tired today, right?"
"Not really, haha, I feel quite idle."
"I do think Frank should rest early."
"Then let’s rest early, your intuition is always spot-on~"
"Also, Frank."
"What’s up?"
"I’m planning to visit Angerlor Academy in the Inner Ring District tomorrow."
"Uh... I don’t know much about that place, but good luck in advance~"
"It’s pretty close to the Law Enforcement Force."
"Hmm?"
"Last time when you and Double Leaf were attacked, if the Law Enforcement Force had reacted sooner, it would’ve been better. But you can’t blame them, it’s the exchange period, and resources are tight."
"Yeah, students seem quite overburdened during this time."
"Mm, so if they face any difficulty, it’d be nice to meet kind people to help them."
"It’s tough; good people are hard to find these days."
"Hehe, Double Leaf often says you’re a bad person."
"I think so too; I’m the bad guy, you’re the good one."
"Yes, I’m a good person~"
