[You have been urgently disconnected, please choose whether to reconnect]
"What else? If I don’t go back, disaster will strike..."
[You have been urgently disconnected, please choose...]
"Reconnect! Reconnect! Reconnect!"
[Choose whether to reconnect?]
"I·choose·to·reconnect!"
[Reconnecting begins...]
"System, are you messing with me on purpose?"
[Connection complete, reading character information]
"You didn’t used to be like this! You used to send me back directly! Why are you so slow this time?!"
[Welcome back, chaotic neutral Tan Mo, now loading The Realm of Innocence, good night]
"Hope we don’t meet again too soon... if I die tragically because I got caught red-handed, please send me a good race randomly next time, like a Rune Creation from Sky Pillar Mountain."

[Heh.]

In front of Mage Guild, Central District, Academy City
"Ah... ah ah ah ah..."
After recovering from injuries, Double Leaf was immediately dragged around all day by Diana, chatting with this big shot and having tea with that clan leader, once again trapped in the social hell, weakly leaned against the Magic Crystal Lamp Post, letting out a half-dead howl: "So damn annoying—annoying—ah—"
Diana standing next to her gave a gentle smile, affectionately patting the girl’s head: "Thanks for accompanying me."
"If you know I’m tired, don’t drag me everywhere!"
Double Leaf angrily swatted Diana’s hand away, gritting her teeth as she glared at the latter: "Obviously it’s all stuff that you as a Grand Astrologist or the Archizorti family have to deal with, right? It obviously has nothing to do with me, an Advanced Stage mage that’s completely irrelevant, right? Why keep dragging me along!"
Wearing a modest mage robe that was almost entirely made of fabric below the collar, not representing the City of Miracles, but participating in the conference as a personal identity and an heir of the Achizolti Family ’Starglow’, Lady Diana tilted her head for a long time before saying, not very confidently: "Maybe it’s because... with Double Leaf around, I can always shrink the time needed for those... social engagements to the shortest possible?"
"So in your eyes, I’m just used for this huh?"
Double Leaf rolled her eyes displeasedly, pouting: "The brat who tugs at their parents to leave early?"
"Big help indeed."
Diana habitually raised her hand and casted over a dozen [Awakening Spell] on Double Leaf, invigorating her sleepy spirit, then tugged at her collar a bit uncomfortably, muttering quietly: "Feels kind of hot..."
The next moment, several breezes carrying ice crystals brushed past them, quickly cooling down Diana who seemed a bit stifled, letting her exhale a long breath.
"Could you tell me, dear Diana mentor?"
Double Leaf lazily maintained the cool breeze around them that kept the temperature at 26.5°, while dryly laughing: "Why could you remember to slap me with sixteen [Awakening Spell], but forget to control the Wind Element and Water Element a bit to cool yourself?"
Diana chuckled a bit awkwardly, embarrassedly replying: "It’s not that I forgot, it’s just my control over elemental magic is... kind of terrible... A few years ago, I went on vacation up north with Ana, and when I wanted to warm up, it triggered a small snow avalanche. If it wasn’t for Ana’s quick reaction, we might have been detained by Sumer’s Great Shaman..."
"Niu Chao."
Double Leaf froze for at least five seconds before she forced herself to spit out those two words.
"Thinking back, it’s quite embarrassing."
Diana’s face reddened slightly as she shuffled her shoes on the ground, whispering: "Perhaps it’s because this starry sky is too vast, so I always get lost in it, making it harder and harder to control elemental power at other times."
"No."
Double Leaf shook her head firmly, decisively saying: "Admit it, you’re just plain slow, Diana."
"Oh..."
Diana hunched her shoulders, obediently admitting it.
"Well, second question."
Double Leaf, both weakly pacing towards their lodging—a high-level chain hotel not far from Mage Guild—casually asked: "Now is the hottest month of the year, why are you wrapped up like a dumpling?"
"What’s a dumpling?"
Diana directly questioned.
"A dumpling is... uh... forget it..."
Double Leaf thought for a bit, ultimately deciding to give up on teaching Diana, who wasn’t particularly clear on even the world’s common knowledge, what a dumpling is, simply explaining: "It’s like being dressed so tightly like you’re trying hard to suffocate yourself. Look at me, so cool~"
The young girl hastened a few steps, spun around in front of Diana, showing off her combination of oversized pants + pure white tank top + sleeveless vest, looking completely unlike a mage.
And her dressing like this wasn’t without reason; after all, recently, Double Leaf was always wearing that dark blue female mage outfit that was like a work uniform, because she needed to ensure she was always in the best state to withstand assaults from a certain someone, and the equipment Kenneth gave her was currently the best she could get.
