Chapter 2136 - 1697: Let’s Smash the Ghost’s Lair
Chapter 2136: Chapter 1697: Let’s Smash the Ghost’s Lair
The Exotic Ghost’s vision turned black momentarily, and its body froze for an instant. The Monarch seized this moment, slashed with his scythe, splitting the Exotic Ghost’s face in two.
The Exotic Ghost let out a piercing wail as its face, now in two halves, turned into two shadows and charged towards the Monarch from the left and right.
One of the faces suddenly opened a single eye, which glowed red and glared at the Monarch.
The Monarch immediately sealed his soul, yet his scythe remained unchanged in form, slashing towards one half of the face.
However, when he unsealed his soul and looked around, the two halves of the face were nowhere to be seen. It turned out that the other had already escaped while he was sealing his soul.
A fierce energy wave came from behind. Turning his head to look, he saw that both halves of the face had moved behind him, with one half desperately fleeing, and the other locked in combat with a gigantic hand.
Negris exclaimed in shock, "Is that how the Hand of the Mage can be used?"
The Hand of the Mage is one of the most universal spells for mages; almost every Wizard practices it. Essentially, it uses spiritual power to form a hand that can perform any function a physical hand can.
Moreover, it can extend to the distance that spiritual power can reach. Usually, mages, too lazy to move around their rooms, will use the Hand of the Mage to grab the things they need.
Ange’s previous Spirit Touch was, in essence, a mutated version of the Hand of the Mage, using spiritual power to form a spirit touch to replace the hand’s functionality.
But now, Ange’s Hand of the Mage had become formidable. It no longer just grasped but seemed intent on crushing the enemy. Half of the Exotic Ghost was squeezed, emitting horrifying screams.
Yet the other half of the Exotic Ghost paid no mind to the screams, fleeing at maximum speed. As expected of the Exotic Ghost, it vanished to a small dot in the blink of an eye, with only the half caught in the Hand of the Mage remaining.
Once the Exotic Ghost escaped a far enough distance, the screaming half in the Hand of the Mage fell silent.
Even Negris realized the problem, exasperatedly saying, "Damn, it was bait."
But Anthony remarked, "Not exactly bait, more like a lizard’s tail."
Nobody would offer half their body as bait; the Exotic Ghost simply intended to escape in two directions. As a result, the head was left behind, and its consciousness simply transferred to its body to continue escaping.
Negris remarked, "It fled so fast, gone in a blink. Without the Hand of the Mage, we wouldn’t have even kept this half.
The Hand of the Mage is formed from spiritual power and can be instantly formed within the range extended by spiritual power.
However, Ange rarely used the Hand of the Mage in battles as its damage was too low, except against enemies several levels below him. Otherwise, the Hand of the Mage would hardly harm an enemy.
Now, though, the Exotic Ghost was the perfect target. Its soul was strong, but its form was exceptionally frail and incredibly fast; other attacks couldn’t catch up to it besides the Hand of the Mage.
Isn’t that convenient? The Hand of the Mage is just what restrains it.
The Exotic Ghost’s consciousness escaped, leaving only half the Exotic Ghost’s form in Ange’s Hand of the Mage, but everyone’s spirits fell upon seeing it up close.
Negris disdainfully remarked, "Isn’t this just a Stacked Ghost? Is this thing capable of destroying a God Star?"
Ange also had a Stacked Ghost, though initially, it was only a fragment. After Ange’s repairs and many incremental supplements, it is now a complete Stacked Ghost, so the half-piece Exotic Ghost no longer impressed Negris.
Ange shook his head. "Stacked, many."
Aegis expressed surprise, "More stacked pieces? Well, that’s quite a gain, but what do they do?"
Ange responded, "They’re, incremental templates."
Negris scratched his head. "What does incremental template mean?"
Now it was Ange’s turn to scratch his head.
Ursman tried to explain, "Does His Excellency mean that these can become templates for creating consciousnesses, and later, when creating Square Worlds, these templates can be called upon to create various plants, animals, and life species?"
Ange nodded eagerly.
Negris disdainfully said, "Don’t you already have templates? With so many life forms in your Dimensional Space, can’t you just reincarnate them?"
Ange shook his head, "Star Soul."
Ange’s Dimensional Space lacked Star Souls, each stacked piece holding one.
Each stacked piece here not only contained a Star Soul but included all living consciousness within the belonging Star Soul’s incremental cycle, as well as feedback consciousness fragments into the Star Soul, accumulating into an invaluable fortune over billions of years.
Ange, while able to create Star Souls, knew that newly birthed Star Souls started as blank slates, similar to the initially naive Little Fireman. They needed vast amounts of information to grow and learn.
Everyone took a deep breath—this was a significant gain. Previously, they didn’t know the importance of consciousness fragments, but now they understood. These were materials for upgrading consciousness and Star Souls, enabling White Crystal to grow.
As White Crystal grew, it could accommodate stronger consciousness and feedback more incrementally.
Of course, it wouldn’t make sense for Ange to slaughter God Stars for these, but if he found them, it was fantastic luck.
By merging the half Exotic Ghost form into his Stacked Clone, Ange’s number of stacked pieces instantly increased by about four times. ℯℯ𝘭.
With so many stacked pieces, Ange reincarnated all High-level Holy Spirits of the Church of Light into existence, numbering twelve hundred. Each received two pieces, armed as Ghost Angels.
Whether due to their profession, the Ghost Angels often manifested the pieces into wings and fought by slashing with them, much like how Little Angel did after merging with the Star Dome Seal Cloth.
In response, Anthony, the Monarch, and Ursman all shifted to the Stacked Clone, attempting to develop martial techniques that utilized wings for slashing.
Anthony was outwardly the Pope but renowned for his martial prowess as the Dark Knight Emperor, while Ursman was a Wise Man, able to discern the flaws in all martial techniques.
With the battle-hardened Undead Ruler, the Monarch, developing a new martial technique was simple.
After three days, the trio created a martial technique suiting the intelligence of Battle Angels and the current Stacked Ghost form, naming it Ghost Holy Light Slash, skyrocketing their combat power sevenfold.
Why sevenfold? Using Dalasso, a Ghost Guide, as a measure, at least seven Dalassos were needed to defeat a Ghost Angel.
Ange could summon twelve hundred of these Ghost Angels at any moment in the future, eliminating the need to engage in lower-tier battles personally.
After completing everything, Anthony said, "Alright, now it’s time to attack the Ghost’s lair."
